"The ambiance in the front is that of a coffee shop... because it is one, but in the back it's a whole 'nother story. I used a Scoutmob deal that entitled us to two salads, two entrees, two drinks, and an appetizer and a dessert to share. Not bad, especially considering how absolutely delicious the food is at Sun in My Belly. I'd been here before for brunch on the weekends, but I urge you to give this a try for a nice dinner. The meatloaf was outstanding. Really, outstanding. And my husband was having a love affair with the salmon. Definitely a great place to eat some delicious foods. The wine/beer list isn't extensive or impressive, but it doesn't matter what you drink when you're eating the very best."

"...about how wonderful it is, because I hate for it to become crowded. The food is creative and delicious. .Most things on the menu are local and organic, and they use incredibly fresh ingredients. All of the meat is ethically sourced and local, and there are many vegetarian options. For brunch, the French toast and the pimento cheese omelet, for dinner try the mushroom ravioli. There can be somewhat of a wait (which is why I hesitated to review,but decided to be noble). The ambience is early-modern-hardware-store. Truthfully, it is a renovated hardware store, and the ambience is good - though a bit loud at times. As with some places, sometimes the music is a tad loud, which makes people yell over it. But the food is worth it."

"This is the second dinner service I've had at SIMB, and this one was even better. The options for a prix fixe or just picking from available courses is excellent, and we tried as much as we could. Enjoyed everything. Liked that I could actually hear our conversation and that the vibe is casual but could be romantic."

"We couldn't have been more happy with our dining experience from top to bottom. The food was great, reasonably priced, served hot and with amazing, unique flavors. You really should give it a shot, you will not be dissapointed. The interior is masterfully designed. I have to admit, I may or may not have instagrammed some of the colored mason jars against the wall. :)"

"Very nice experience here, as usual. The food was tasty and actually came out much faster than on other occasions. There was some confusion about what came with the daily jar, but they brought us what we thought was supposed to come after some discussion. Dessert stole the show for me. Blueberry bar and chocolate bomb - YUM! Always a nice evening in the neighborhood at SIMB. Hope to be back soon."

"Four of us dined, ordering the following: pork belly, crab cakes, meatloaf, pork chops, salmon, peanut butter cupcake, and pina colada cake. We also had beer & wine. The savory food was exceptional (the meatloaf was a little dry and odd), and all the accompaniments were perfect. The desserts were so-so. The very drink selection was small, but it was specific and everything we had was amazing. In terms of service, everyone but our waiter was friendly and attentive. Our server seemed a bit distracted and disinterested, but that did not take enough away from our experience to matter. I think this is a good place to dine and I hope to return."

"I've always loved brunch at Sun in my Belly, but now I have another reason to go back: dinner! To start, we got the special, which was a baked potato dip in a little mason jar with grilled naan--oh my gosh! So good! Then we got salads: the hermes was incredible and the caesar was one of the best I've ever had. For the main course, we had the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collard greens plus the steak tenderloin with Gorgonzola sauce and parmesan mashed potatoes. Our waitress was charming, attentive, and simply a delight."

"I visited Sun in My Belly with a group of friends for my birthday. After seeing the pretty decor and photos online, I knew this place would be right up my alley! "Sun in My Belly is one of my favorite places in all of Atlanta. It has the best atmosphere - the right lighting, beautiful and unique decor, and tasteful music. The food is amazing whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The portion sizes are perfect, and the menu changes with the seasons, while still keeping many favorite dishes in regular rotation. For breakfast, the egg panini and challah french toast never disappoint, and for dinner, SIMB makes the best fried chicken I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about SIMB!"

"My friend and I just wanted to share lots of vegetables so we ordered vegetable plates plus a few side items to split. Conversation came to a screeching halt because we couldn't stop making "mmmmm" noises! The ambiance was fine. "I love this restaurant for brunch, but this was my first dinner dining experience. Overall, I really liked it. Half-price bottle of malbec and really yummy hermes salad, although the menu didn't mention nuts and there were nuts on it, so not good for those with allergies, but great for me! The mussels were tasty and while the flavor of the mushroom ravioli was good, if I were to be extra critical, I'd say the pasta was a bit thick, and therefore a bit dry and the rapini (like broccolini that came with the ravioli) was hard to cut, like a bit rubbery - both rapini and ravioli could have been more tender.
Anyway, I'm being critical about the food because but I wouldn't hesitate to return and try other menu items, plus, brunch is excellen"

"Used the Scoutmob, so felt the value was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, except for a few funny tasting mussels which still stood out even under the heavy coconut sauce it came with. The nicoise salad tastted fresh and filled with wonderful additions; fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese was a hit; hangar steak was substituted for the tenderloin... uh... were there not enough cows available and such a drastic switch? The pork tenderloin, recommended by the server, was absolutely delicious with a nice sweetness of cherries and butternut squash (I think), and salty sauce on bottom. Kale wasn't great as it absorbed the sweetness of the other stuff... ask for it on the side."

"SIMB had a nice vibe to it. I had the tenderloin with mashed potatoes. 2/3 of the tenderloin was a little bit too rare, so it required some additional chewing, but the potatoes were awesome! Our server was great too! We were definitely full by the end of the night, and the Scoutmob deal we had made it even better."

"I LOVE this restaurant! Tired of the same ole menu around town...even for foodies? Get a fresh new start here with great food, ambiance and lick-your-plate cuisine. "Went for Valentines Day. Was a pretty full house, but we were still seated quickly. Great special menu. Dishes were all well prepared, each with a hint of uniqueness. Best scallops I've had. Our waiter Ryan was great, even giving us a "taste' of something we did not order, but were curious about. Had a minor issue in the kitchen with one of our choices, but again Ryan sorted it out. Wine list was not the greatest, but went well with our dinner. The ambiance was warm and inviting with live music provided by a guy playing solo guitar and singing, perfect for a romantic evening. Furnishings are eclectic, and support the vintage theme. Overall great evening and the warmth of service made for an excellent date night. Will definately go again."

"Great brunch! Four stars for the brunch menu. One of the best in town.
But dinner is mediocre. We gave it a couple chances and everything we've had has been fine, but nothing wowed us. And it's way to expensive for so-so food, cramped eating space, and really casual service. Two stars for dinner.

"Food was less than remarkable. Don't go here expecting good service, friendly wait staff, or to get your meal in a reasonable amount of time. We went without drinks for at least 30 minutes and it took over an hour to get our entree once we finished our salads. The wait staff was rude and unattentive, never apologizing for the empty glasses or long wait. The food isn't bad, but it certainly isn't worth going back for."

"We went for dinner, although they are very well known for brunch. The selection was ok. I was a little underwhelmed after what I had heard, but not bad. We had a larger group and I the service was really slow. They were all nice, but after ordering our small bites and salads, they pretty much forgot to ask about entrees until we brought it up, slowing the whole evening down."

"Thanks to great Scoutmob deals, I've been back to Sun in My Belly twice this year. Their food is outstanding, the ambiance is quaint and cozy and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed the antipasto starter (cheeses were delicious), two hearty but amazing salads, and my fried chicken/mac n cheese entree was above par and wonderful. My friend loved the pork chop (my recommendation from last time) with savory sweet potato hash. I will definitely return. The price point is reasonable."

"For vegan diners - those trying to avoid meat and dairy - Sun in My Belly is not the best choice. Despite claims on the menu that adjustments can be made, on request, to vegetarian offerings this does not seem true in practice. We had notified the restaurant in advance of our vegan dining requirements and were told on entering that special dishes had been prepared. In fact, the server offered just two options - a menu salad and a vegetable plate. When the vegetable plate arrived, two dishes, in fact, had been prepared with dairy products. One dish was replaced. We were told not to eat the other one.
We could not spent more than $20 at the restaurant, because that is all we could eat. While we were frugal, we left unsatisfied."
