"The food was absolutely incredible! The view was stunning as we were there during the sunset right over the bay-side. Not a place to take kids but a better spot for adults and those looking for a romantic dinner. Although it isn't very quite but it was nice feeling like we didn't have to whisper and could talk in a normal voice. Mary's Delight is an absolute must to try off of their dessert menu. Our waitress was pretty good. She forgot a water refill back to back times and we had to remind her but in all fairness they were really busy at the time. Everything was great and we will be back. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money $30-$50 a person depending on what you drink."

"Spent a wonderful Mother's Day at the Hobbit with my parents, husband and 2 kids (11 & 13). I loved the Mother's Day menu, it had something for everyone without breaking the bank. I got an elegant dinner out, fantastic sunset and delicious food for a great price. We had a very enjoyable night."

"It was restaurant week and the appetizer, salad and entre was priced at $30. Which in Ocean City is a great price. Clams casino was fabulous, and we shared with the rest at our table.... The caesar salad was a creamy style but the garlic was so strong it was a bit bitter tasting. Some will like that but I tasted garlic for two days afterwards. I had a stuffed pork chop and it was blackened, but it was extremely over cooked. Usually you can't go wrong with any of their fish entre's so it was my mistake for ordering a non seafood item....Service was very good and competent. The other diners in our party had the bronzed fish of the day, and a crab cake. Both were very good."

"Though my online request for a window seat was honored, we were seated at the end of the restaurant where there was a large obstructing partial wall. Assuming the restaurant would be crowded, I did not question our placement. By end of dining it was clear that there would have been plenty of room to give my group of 6 a better placement. Three of the 6 of us had only a wall to look at; the other 3 had to peer around the obstructing wall. In that the view is a major reason to visit The Hobbit, we were all disappointed in not having one."

"For ~25 yr., we've dined at The Hobbit & have always been delighted w/ our meal. This one was no exception. On making our reservation, I had requested a window table, noting that it was for our 46th wedding anniversary. As we arrived, the maître d' saw us approaching and came to open the front door for us--an indication of the wonderful service to come that evening. Our table looked out on the bay, affording us a front-row seat for a beautiful sunset. Our waitress, Camille, was genuinely friendly and helpful, very courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our meals were exceptional. After ordering dessert, we learned it was complementary. Our dining experience couldn't've been better! What an elegant place for a special dinner!"

"Always look forward to the spring re-opening of the Hobbit and weren't disappointed. Our favorite restaurant in O.C., staff is always
friendly and competent, food is always delicious and of course, the view never fails to please. Have been going to the Hobbit for years

"We went for Easter Brunch .... not knowing anything about the place. Service was great. View of the water was wonderful, even though it was raining. "Easter dinner. Was so happy to see they had roast turkey breast on the Holiday Menu. It was delicious. My husband said his crab cake was the best he has ever eaten. I would say the portion sizes were a bit small, but overall the food was really good. Our server could have been more upbeat and interested i n what he was doing. We had to ask for fresh ground pepper for our salads (saw it sitting RIGHT THERE, why didn't he ask us first?) A lot of families in that day, and of course, that meant annoying children who were obviously getting bored and LOUD and needed to go way before their selfish parents took them home."
