"We went for Mother's Day lunch, party of 18. We were seated in the lounge area which was ok, but our table was very tight/cramped. Food service took a while and food was not delivered all at once. Everyone at our table received the food at different times and we had to remind the wait help of what we were missing.

"The hostesses were very friendly and welcoming as soon as you arrive. I had the seafood scramble and that was excellent and made soft scramble just as I had requested. I would go back to try their different salads, burger, prime rib and loco moco. I have had the pea salad and that is excellent."

"The employees were very pleasant and our server was excellent. He made sure everything was to our liking. I brought 2 people with me to Ryan's because they never been to this establishment and they were impressed with the service we recieved. Thank you for a pleasant night. We will be back."

"We were looking for something out of Waikiki that would give us a more local feel and taste. Reviews for this restaurant were good, but we don't understand why. This restaurant is part of a large chain of restaurants, so nothing local about this. There were so many things to choose from on the menu (except only one fresh fish choice), which is never a good sign that they specialize in anything. My husbands ribs were very dry. The chicken good. I thought I'd go with the chef's special of meatloaf, which was really average. Kind of an odd choice I agree, but it was on their special menu so I thought it might be special. The vegies were nothing short of average. One of those meals we will put down to experience. We will not return."

"Not a bad Happy Hour pupu and drink menu in the bar and on the lanai. The farthest table on the lanai provides a view of Ala Moana Park (and the traffic on Ala Moana Blvd), and that's where we always try to sit. A nice place, not spectacular, reasonable prices."

All dishes were satisfy our stomach and hart．Service of women who were in charge of the floor was the best. Service of women who were in charge of the hall was the best. "I've been going to Ryan's for years. It lost it's edge for a while, food and service standards slipped considerably. Was invited to a party there about a year and a half ago and while I dreaded it, I was pleasantly surprised. I've been back voluntarily a few times, and last night it was my first choice for 8 of us to get together before one of us went off to the mainland for college. This place is never going to be getting an award for excellence in dining, but its a very good choice for an everyday get together, a birthday celebration, etc."

"After a mix up with our reservation, the hostess profusely apologized, making sure we were happy with our table. Although we had made a dining reservation, while waiting for our guests, we enjoyed our waitress in the bar so much that we stayed in the bar. Our waitress brought us the regular dinner menus and even brought our complimentary birthday dessert. We enjoyed happy hour appetizers and dining room entrees; the best of both."

"The food was good, but it seems every dish had an island twist to it. Although I (a local) loved the food, my husband (not a local) was slightly disappointed that there weren't any straight up classic dishes without the asian inspiration. The kids got their all time favorites, but were disappointed in the taste twist. Thankfully they were satisfied with the ice cream. We sat next to a VERY loud group, so our want for a peaceful dinner was interrupted several times. But the evening was fine. Just fine. Not awful, bad, or disappointing... but we won't be raving about this date to anyone."

"Ryan's Grill was a great restaurant choice for our Valentine's Day dinner. We had an early reservation because we had a concert after this, but we still had an awesome time. The window view is nice; its a little bright if you're catching the sun setting (like we were) but other than that we had a wonderful meal."

"Our group of 12 was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of our lunches and the variety of selection. Many of us hadn't dined at Ryan's for awhile. Some of had the sliders, which were tasty. The salad that accompanied it was so nicely presented and delicious. We had coupons for slices of key lime pie and our birthday person had her own creme brulee, which she enjoyed. Our server was so nice, patient and efficient."

"Food and ambience were great.. Service was lacking though.. Not sure if the restaurant was under staffed the night I made my visit, but it took a long time for our drinks and food to get to us.. And check ups for refills and what not, took a while as well."

"Good food, varied menu, fast service. Good beer selection. I enjoyed the food and the experience, and made it to my movie on time! It's on the second floor, so you have a water view too if you're by the window, which is really nice. Convenient location in the Ward Warehouse area."

"Great early dinner. We were in time for happy hour - half priced pupus from the extensive appetizer menu. Everything was good, and there was something to suit everyone in the group. Our server was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely go back"

"I often go to Ryan's Grill for business lunches. The front of the house staff are always so warm and friendly. The food gets to the table quickly.
Noise: It's quiet enough to carry on a conversation and the staff does not rush you."
