"The food was delicious, the atmosphere and decor pleasant, and the service good. We were there late, and only two or three other tables were occupied, so the staff were attentive and helpful. Kumari is now a permanent fixture on our go-to list of restaurants when in the mood for good, authentic Indian food."

"Kumari serves very good Indian food. It's nearly as good as any other Indian food we've had, and it is also more moderately priced than most other Indian restaurants that cater to a more "upscale" dining experience. Portions are generous but not overly so. Even though the restaurant says it's Nepalese as well as Indian, I think the Indian menu items predominate. The premises are clean and the wait staff very attentive. We will definitely return to Kumari, as it is the best South Asian restaurant we've found yet in the Mount Vernon area and the prices are on the lower end of the scale as well -- which makes it doubly attractive, of course."
