"I don't think we have ever been disappointed at Bar Harbor. We go there often, and never hesitate to take friends as we know it will always be a good experience. Food is great, portions, just right. Highly recommended."

"Walleye sandwich was good and generous. Very unpleasant calamari. First of all, I order calamari whenever it's available. Bar Harbor's was chewy and had a dense coating that contained gritty, flavorless, fine-textured cornmeal...forget the cornmeal and lighten up the batter! Our otherwise pleasant wait person tried to explain it away by saying that some calamari is just tough. $11.00 is a whopping price for sub par calamari. Will consider a return visit to try other menu items, though we're not in the area often."

"Bar Harbor is a gem! We visited on a Sunday evening which might be why it was nice and quiet. The ambiance of this place is very comfortable; nice views, beautiful wood and decor, Frank Sinatra in the background. Food was outstanding! I had the Filet Mignon with wonderful (not too cheesy) Au gratin potatoes, and my wife had the fabulous, tender, juicy Sweet Chili Salmon. Creme brulee for dessert was just right. We're from the Twin Cities and wish this restaurant were closer, though I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the neighborhood!"

"We love the new remodel of Bar Harbor and our food was good. However we waited 2 hours last Saturday for our food which is not okay. We also had reservations for 6 people we had 2 more that joined us and asked the hostess when we arrived at Bar Harbor if they could accommodate our change she said yes that it would be 10 minutes. We waited at least 40 minutes before we were seated and that is only when we approached the hostess thinking she may have forgotten us. Customer service is so key we understand with a big table food might take longer but even though our server was good she never told us when our food would be coming out or sorry that it is taking so long. All patrons want is to be informed."

"We hadn't been back to Bar Harbor for nearly ten years because of our last experience. We heard they rebuilt the building and were under new ownership and started to get some good personal recommendations from friends. Needless to say we were more than surprised not only by the beautiful building and comfortable ambiance but the service level was stellar and the food was outstanding. We're looking forward to more visits and can't wait to experience the restaurant in the summer when we can sit outside. Great re-find for us and will return often."

"Unless you are a red meat eater the menu was kind of tough this night. Would like to see a chicken dish on the offerings, pork would be nice to. Prime rib was ok, but was grilled!? More like a rib steak. Salad was great, and had better service than usual. Nice evening overall."
