A new dining experience at the Hilton El Conquistador. Literally translated as "Mexican Tea", Epazote is prominently used in Southwest cuisine to add spicy yet earthy flavor somewhat reminiscent of fennel. Inspired by this flavor and the traditions of the Southwest.
Enjoy Southwestern dishes featuring locally sourced specialties such as Arizona grass feed beef, Southwest mountain trout, Colorado lamb, selected cheeses and Arizona grown produce. Along with your meal, you will enjoy some of the most spectacular views of Pusch Ridge, on the outdoor patio.
Featuring a wide selection of tequilas, locally brewed beers and Arizona Wines. Those looking to sample a taste of the Southwest will be able to select from a bar menu of delectable options ideal for a shared dinner or snack.
"We were lucky to visit on a night when the outside temps were perfect and there was a lovely breeze rustling the palm trees...it felt like being in Hawaii. But the food was definitely southwestern...yet not over the top. Familiar dishes were on the menu: short ribs, steak, pork, chicken and shrimp, but the seasonings and sides expressed a regional flair by way of chilies of various types. We enjoyed the relatively economical pinot noir on the menu and appreciated seeing some Arizona wines that were available (we'd like to see more AZ wines). The four of us shared two desserts: one chocolate, the other peach cobbler; to celebrate birthdays. All in all, it was a pleasant, relaxing and easy-going evening. We'll return."

"We stayed here for our daughter's graduation and used it as kind of a "base camp" to dine and relax with our extended family. We had a blast. The margaritas are the best we have ever had and drank quite a few! Thank you for making our special time even better."

"Our poor experience at Epazote began at the valet parking drop-off. The valet was nowhere to be found. I went inside and found him goofing off, talking to other resort employees. When he came out he pointed to a space nearby for me to self-park.
At dinner I asked for a light beer and Dos Equis was suggested. I responded by saying that isn't a light beer is it? The waiter said, yes it is a lager. The restaurant has all major light beer brands, Miller Lite, Coors Light, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra- so why was he pushing a non-light beer?
My wife asked if the wedge salad was a large salad to which the waiter responded, "yes, it is a whole head of lettuce". It was about an eighth. The food was mediocre."

"Service was excellent and the server was great in assisting with selections. the food was a little disappointing, trout was overcooked, peach cobbler soupy. The wedge salad could have been dressed a bit more. The fry bread was tough, crunchy right off however we had asked for it to be plain with the hummus on the side. When we first had it the night before it was delicious with all the toppings.
If staying at the resort I would return as there is an element of creativity."

"Sat outdoors on their beautiful patio and had a truly wonderful meal. there were 4 of us and all got different entrees. Each was excellent. Drink prices were unusually higher than the meal prices. Service was outstanding."

"We had a great experience while staying at the Hilton El Conquistador resort. One night we had an appetizer and desert in the bar. The green chilli nachos were fantastic! The 2nd night we dined outdoors on the patio. Fantastic view, great food. We will be coming back"

"Many menu choices -- including vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free. Service was sow the night we ate there but food was good. IF the weather is warm (but NOT hot) eat on the outdoor patio and enjoy the mountain view."

"Food was very good, service was poor at best, even though our server was polite it seemed she had a "memorized" speech that she gave to every table about "anything you need, just let me know" but never followed through on those very things."

"The food was very good during our recent visit; I particularly liked the taste of the chili verde stew appetizer, although it was more of a soup in consistency, rather than a stew. The wait staff flawlessly executed some modifications to my main course. The classic margarita cocktail is one of the better basic margaritas in Tucson, IMHO."

"Excellent service; servers very attentive, great timing. Tortilla soup and pork stew were super, thick and seasoned to perfection. Steak, juicy and cooked as ordered. Other entrees were excellent as well. We will absolutely return and hope to bring our out-of-town relatives to visit soon."
