"We attended the Mothers Day brunch and was not happy at all with the food. Out of most everything on brunch table. What food was there was cold, bacon extremely over cooked, cheese tray had sat out all day, fruit tray had very little and what was there was warm. Asked for fresh food, only received pancakes and salmon. Dessert tray offered, items were hard and looked unappetizing to eat. Two of our party members ordered off the menu, so they could have something to eat.Overall, spent to much money for what we received and would not do it again.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and were looking forward to this and ended up being very disappointed."

"I took my mother and grandmother her for the Mother's Day brunch. Overall, I would say that the brunch buffet was not really worth the $22 that it cost. The food was ok, but not amazing. They did have a limited menu that could be ordered from, my mom got the fish and chips and really liked it. The price for that was reasonable.
I have been here for other meals and would say that the food is better and better priced compared to the buffet brunch. I have had their Paella before and really enjoyed it. In addition, the service from the waitstaff was really awesome! So, definitely go for any day that does not have the brunch buffet."

"My husband had the Oysters for appetizer- presentation -nice and he said they were fabulous! We both had the fish and chips (I liked the fact you had different varieties I only like Halibut) and they were great! I preferred no fries so they substituted with green beans- very good.
A real nice surprise was the waiter Richard(who did great) brought over a Creamboule ' (sp)with blackberries and a Birthday candle- great choice in a B Day surprise esp. since it is my favorite and I must say they make a good one! So we had a very nice evening"

"The Place was Jumping on Mothers Day, Of course, Our table was ready and we were seated within 5 minutes. The Buffet looked good, but we ordered off the lunch Menu. Something for Everyone. Fish and Chips,Fish fillets Burger, Salad, Pasta. Good Service, Nice Drinks Nice atmosphere. We will be back."

"We started with the calamari and clam strips both were good. However, I thought that the onions on the side were too greasy and a bit much on both dishes. Also the clam strips though tender had too thick of batter for my taste. The couple that I was with "loved them" . For the main course, the crad stuffed salman was delicious. We also had the steelhead cooked medium rare , it was perfectly done accompanied with seasonal green beans. Lastly, we also had the crab pot and although I didn't personally try any...... My uncle loved it.......... The Wine selection was fine and the service was good. Ive been to countless restaraunts and the food here , even though predictable, made for a great evening and good memories....thank you"

"Perfect sized proportions instead of over filling the plates. Delicious and fresh food.
Although the shooters were good, the glasses and bloody mary mix they were in should have been chilled as they pulled the chill out of the oyster. Our pear walnut salads were wonderful, although the plates were hot. We both ordered lobster for dinner which was very good. The purple potatoes and the weird tomato sauce on them tasted good, but were not appealing to the eye. Purple potatoes are not the best of flavor and somewhat grainy. Just small red potatoes would look and taste better. I wondered if the crème brule for dessert had been squeezed out of a bag instead of home made, and it had too much sugar caramelized on it though it tasted good."

"Pomagranate mojitos not the best....was hoping for something nice and refreshing and it was very tart and sour ( even after adding 2 packages of Splenda you still couldn't help it ) .Other than that food and service was excellent and the creme brûlée for a birthday ending was a nice surprise . "After being seated did not see a waitress for 14 minutes. When I ordered I asked to substitute rice instead of potatos. When dinner arrived there was potatos and no rice. Usually the service is better than this trip and the food is usually consistent. I sure miss the old Newport Bay that was in the location previously."

"The dinner was good not enough dinner choices and the prices were to much $20.00 for a crab salad there wasn't that much crab on it My in-laws were looking for choices of dinner but not really emough for $3.00 add soup or a salad coleslaw just doesn't cut it plus onions in it overpowering taste."

"They were offering a 4-Course meal for $24.95, which was what my wife ordered. She had the Calamari rings for an appetizer and they were HUGE, probably an entree size. (We could have shared them easily). First course was a cup of clam chowder, which was tasty. The main coarse was the Pialla and it had good flavor and plenty of seafood! For dessert was the Burnt Cream (Creme Brulee) and we could not say enough about how good it was. The sugar was bruleed perfectly (not over done and burnt tasting like some places do). Over all we LOVED it and will definitely go back."

"Mixed review of food. Four of us were dining - two meals were deemed good and two (fish and chips meals) were not so good. One ordered shrimp and prawns and the other ordered halibut. Breading on both were very greasy and overcooked. Would not order again and I love fish and chips meals. Very disappointed in fish and chips meals. Our waitress, Cynthia, was excellent."

"We got a good table on Valentines Day and were seated quickly. We've eaten there 2 or 3 times and have always been more than satisfied with the service and food. However on this night we had to wait an hour for our order. Our server never brought us any silverware or napkins. My girlfriend had to go get them herself. We also ordered a couple of whisky on the rocks prior to our dinner and the whisky was very flat and stale tasting (they did take that off the bill). Overall it wasn't a good experience. But taken into account that it was a busy night, we will go back again."

"Very poor hostess service. Long wait; our reservation was at 730 and our food arrived at 840. Our child order of chicken strips was forgotten when we were served. It was rushed to out table; however it was almost placed in front of our two year old extremely hot. We will not return or recommend."

"My first visit to Portland Seafood. Dined with friends for a birthday celebration. Hostess and waiter were very friendly and attentive. Very nice place and ambiance. Food were very good and reasonable price. I requested for a birthday cake for my birthday friend, but received a ice cream sundae, which was even better idea thanks to the Chef. Convenient location. Would return for in the near future. Highly recommend this restaurant."
