BlackFinn is the great American restaurant and community gathering spot, serving quality food and drink in a comfortable, hospitable environment.
Our menu is unique to each of our locations and features a wide variety of classics, regional favorites and things we just think are really good. The food is straightforward, served with a smile and won't break the bank. Same for the drinks.
We offer friends, family and business patrons four distinct rooms to experience us in multiple ways for lunch, dinner, happy hour, game day and late night.
"Service took quite a while. Waitress had too many tables. Appetizers and entrees were delivered at the exact same time, which caused issues for us as diners and the time we had available for lunch. However, the Manager did work with us and covered the costs due to their mixup, so we appreciated that."

"My husband and I really enjoyed eating at BlackFinn. The food was really good!! Fun atmosphere. Our waiter was not super personable but was fine. Everyone else I've talked to said service was great. Would definitely go back!"

"Food here seems to be a hit or miss for me. I most recently had the Queen City chicken and was disappointed in it. I was looking forward to a crispy bacon topping and instead the chicken came cut as medallions wrapped in bacon - just not outstanding. The sweet potato mash with it was very good but the plate looked like the main idea was the potatoes and they decided to add chicken to it. There was no bread or anything served while waiting on the meal - guess you have to order a salad to get, which I did not. they have a few really outstanding dishes that I've tried but this experience was not my best."

"It was way too noisy the night we were there. There was a private party that had a band. We moved from the dining room to the bar. It was impossible to carry on a conversation"

"Very disappointing for the price. Even their signature items had no flavor. Not near the quality of other restaurants in its price range on open table."

"The half price wine is a great deal on Wed nights. We really enjoyed the live music in the bar as well. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits, however, it's most likely not the most healthy dish on the menu, but very tasty! For a chain, this restaurant is very good."

"Thouroughly enjoyed the maccaroni and cheese with lobster. Large enough portion that I had leftovers the next day for lunch. The chocolate peanut butter dessert was amazing!"

Review 19 for BlackFinn American Grill - St. Louis
"Dinner was nice, our table was ready when we arrived and a very nice, secluded booth. The ambiance was great, giving a quite enough space to be able to hold conversation with no difficulty and yet not awkwardly silent. Food was pretty decent, not as big of a serving as you might have expected. Service was kind and quick, I would reccomend!"

"Last night for our Pre-Valentine's Day dinner last night...I saw the Valentine's Day menu and REALLY wanted it, since we were celebrating a day early. I posted a note on Facebook that was responded to immediately. They made a special arrangement, not saying they can do that EVERY time, but it worked in my case : ). Well worth the money! Crab cake appetizers were delicious! Steak was the best I ever had...YES, THE BEST! He had the blackend haddock...fantastic! We will be back...."

"A little disappointed. Too many kids screaming in the place and the prices were a tad too high for the market. Food was decent and drinks overpriced and too small. This was my 3rd time coming. I'm in no rush to go back."

"If the Food Network is looking for the next episode of Restaurant Impossible, they should consider this place. I don't know how you make what is essentially a giant chicken fried steak taste bad, but they've found a way. The best dish our table had was the Queen City Chicken, and it was dry as a bone.
Our waiter was also terrible, but it wasn't his fault. He was serving a party of ~ 20 people, and was given our table as well. We saw other wait staff, so it's not like he was the only one available.
The only good thing was the Key Lime Pie we had for dessert. It was homemade, and covered with real whipped cream."

"You were very accommodating with relation to arranging our tables to accommodate a party of 12. The only comment I have other than that was that I ordered the stawberry/cherry salad with poppyseed dressing $9.99 and had chicken added which then was 14.98.....in my opinion that is on the high side when considering the amount of chicken added and the fact that the other salads that had salmon, etc added were not that expensive. Othr than that everyone was very satisfied with the food."

Review 29 for BlackFinn American Grill - St. Louis
"I would go back to the bar for after work drinks (reasonably priced) and appetizers (great pretzels you'd want again) but a $75.00 dinner bill for two out of two meals that were just okay at best is not worth a return visit. Chef needs to raise the flavor and presentation of his plates. Flavor of caesar side salad pretty good but served without bread. Manager stopped at table to ask how things were in a shirt that looked like he had pulled it out of the laundry. An experience to forget."
