Anjou is a classic bistro serving comfort foods in the relaxed, casual setting of the Township at Colony Park in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The restaurant’s Old World feel is complemented by contemporary amenities and offers a full bar, lakeside patio, and private rooms.
"We were at the Anjou in Ridgeland a year ago, when it was newly opened. We liked the food and everything. This Sunday we were there for Mother's Day and were greatly disappointed. The food was rather insipid and not even warm. The service was indifferent and incompetent. We won't be back."

"My family (two adults and two kids, ages 13 and 10) went to Anjou to celebrate Mother's Day, and we all had an outstanding meal and a wonderful time. Our server, Michael, was superb, friendly and very attentive. Our food -- from the opening course of french onion soup for my husband and salad for me to our main courses to selections from the desert menu -- was incredible! This has become one of our favorite spots in the MetroJackson area. It is a perfect place to celebrate a special event (such as Mother's Day or an anniversary) to a romantic meal to bringing the entire family. An outstanding restaurant in every way!!"

"This was our second visit to Anjou; our server was excellent and the food was also quite good. We had noted a vegan diner in our party when we made our reservation and requested them to 'challenge' themselves with a vegan entree and not just a selection of sides (as what we had our first visit). Alas, what was offered was a 'vegetable plate' (consisting of a selection of sides and the vegetarian pasta without cheese, which is on the lunch menu. The pasta was very very good but not exactly a stretch for the chef(s). Our table mates enjoyed their meals as well, two having a entree salad and another a shrimp pasta dish. Drinks were well made and substantial...not served in wimpy little glasses. Noise dampening materials would be great."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. The appetizers were all great (especially the charcuterie plate). My daughter particularly liked the french onion soup. I had the scallops which were delicious. We will certainly recommend Anjou to all of our friends!"

"Wonder meal. Everything that was ordered was top notch. We had the filet, tuna salad, beef & bleu cheese crepes, and scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was very nice. Distant enough for us to enjoy the meal but attentive enough to make it very nice. I will return."

"Ratatouille was terrible. They need to do it correctly. Steak with frittes was tough. Oysters were good as we're the crepes. Though the later are rather bland. Could have more flavor. P
The service was strange. They changed waiters in the middle of the meal.
I will go back and try it one more time.
We gave it a B-"

"Nice ambiance. Quality of ingredients superb. Artfully plated. The tartan is made from scratch when ordered so takes about 20 minutes, but it is well worth the wait! Delicious!"

"This was our first experience with Anjou but won't be our last. Overall, the restaurant is lovely. One of my pet peeves is a restaurant where you are practically sitting on top of each other...not here. Whoever designed the interior allowed for ample space between tables so you weren't privy to the conversations going on next door. Our server, Kim, was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, personable but not overbearing. The concern that arose was dealt with quickly and in a manner that satisfied us. Everyone (and there were 4 of us) had something different and all enjoyed their entree. An area that might bear further assessment revolves around preparation of foods/entrees for vegans and vegetarians."

"This place seems to have a lot of potential, but I'll spare you the details and just say we had a bad experience and for the money there are many other restaurants in Jackson that are much better. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say other tables seemed to be having fun and enjoying their food but our experience wasn't so great. Slow. Service, slow food, the wrong food and then cold food not cooked properly... Maybe it juts wasn't our night. The manager was extremely nice and apologetic but by the time she stepped in the damage was done and we were far past just ready to leave."

"Anjou is a gem. We chose the French bistros for my wife's birthday. Seated promptly although the restaurant was full, the bread was warm and crusty. And plentiful. Wine by the glass offered a range of choices at reasonable prices. Scarcity broiled in herb and garlic butter nirvana. Caesar salad dressing was kicked up with the touch of anchovy, but a little too much was applied. The seared Muscovy duck breast succulent. The roundness special was a bit too heavy with butter perhaps. Service correct and affable. We'll be back."

"We had a great experience. We ended up having to bring our 6 year old daughter last minute and even tho they had no reservations they were very accomodating. Our server was amazing and very friendly. We ordered escargo and oysters as appetizers. They were very good and our only complaint was that you only get a few in quanity for $9 & $9.50. The bread was very good! We ordered redfish as our entree and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had but good. Our daughter got the kid's cheeseburger which she said was good but the bun was so hard on the outside she couldn't bite into it and could only eat the meat and cheese. Overall it was a good dining experience. We may go back in the future but won't be ordering appetizers. Not worth the price"

"Went for special occasion (birthday dinner) having heard of ambience and cuisine. Very nice venue for a special occasion. Food was good; not great - and not comparable to other fine dining restaurants in the metro area (Nick's, Walker's, Shapley's, Parlor Market, Table 100, Sophia's/Fairview Inn) in our opinion. Would return for special occasion with others, but would definitely frequent other places before Anjou for dining options. Server Tameka (not sure of spelling) was outstanding. Knowledgeable of menu, very upbeat and accommodating."

"My wife and I dined here for Valentine's day. Our reservation wasn't quite ready upon arrival but we waited in the bar are and the Bartender was very personable and helpful on the wine list. Could of just stayed there the rest of the night. Our table was ready shortly and was very nice. Waiter was very helpful on the specials and answering other question on the menu. Food was quick and creative. The pricing was pretty much what I expected and actually a little better than some of the other restaurants. Really enjoyed the experience. Plan on returning"

"Quiet romantic setting for a night out. As close as you can get to France in Jackson. My wife loved the French onion soup and beef bourguignon and my salmon Provençal was perfect. We were both pleasantly surprised by the zucchini beignets. The cheese plate only has 3 cheeses but to its credit the cheeses aren't readily supermarket available and are tasty. The kir and kir royale cocktails are as good as any in Paris. I sopped up every bit of the escargot sauce. We both can't wait to return to try the many other interesting sounding dishes."

"Our night out was diminished by chairs that were at least 2 inches too low for the tables: whereas 12" to 13" is ideal for the difference in height of top of table minus top of seat, here it was 15" or more, which ached our backs and necks. And we are taller and thinner than most. The cushions deflated immediately upon seating, so a pain all round. We had a Cheese Plate that had wonderful Camembert , Bleu and Gruyere cheeses, but half the grapes were previously plucked from the stems, left naked and looking like trees in winter, while baguette slices were both stale and of insufficient quantity relative to the amount of cheese. Salad, Crepes and Salmon were excellent, but we won't return until chair heights & cushions are remedied."
