"Ive gone here a number of times for business breakfast or lunch because I'm in dc

DC and I often meet folks from VA so it's a handy middle ground with free parking. My guest ordered a fish dish that she had to remove from the horrible sauce and eat plain off of her bread plate. I had a club sandwich which literally had no taste or flavor. Must be what cardboard tastes like. My guest she that she too had given up on the place, but didn't want to hurt my feelings when I suggested that we meet there. I now need to find a new place in Roslyn for breakfast and lunch with handy parking."

"I was staying at the hotel and had a late dinner. There was no one else there but I really enjoyed my meal. Really tasty salad and a great quinoa stir fry. Pricey but it is a hotel restaurant."

"FOOD: Grossly overpriced. I ordered the ribeye, which apparently came from a cow with heart disease. Only about 8 ounces of the steak was edible and I piled a tower of fat on my bread plate. Diver scallops, however, were cooked perfectly. But again, felt like highway robbery.

SERVICE: Was almost "too" attentive, as if they were trying to get rid of us. I'm all for attention, but it definitely took away from the romantic ambiance when servers are hovering and trying to take your plate away at every turn. We were done with dinner in 45 minutes.

To be honest, you can get more bang for buck in Arlington. Should have been more wary when all reservations were available on a Saturday night."

"Very simple to review: food was quite good, but everything was overpriced. Wine was marked up to triple retail, and all the entrees were pricy as well. If cityhouse is convenient for you (say for example you're staying at the hotel where it's located) and you don't care how much you spend, I recommend it. Otherwise, you can no doubt do better. One thing that was really annoying was that the staff had some pop music station playing in the background. Not appropriate for a fine dining restaurant."

"The first issue was trying to get our vehicle parked. Valet employees were no where to be found. The restaurant has a nice modern decor which I enjoyed. We arrived early and the host was pleasant. It took a while for our waiter to greet us. He never asked for our drink order and failed to come back to the table in a timely manner. When the waiter came back, he quickly asked if we were ready to order. I asked for recommendations and he was unable to give me any worthwhile information about the dishes. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the crab cakes which had pieces of shell in just about every bite. The dinner ended up totaling over $100 for two entrees which I would gladly pay if the food was high quality and great taste."
