SAVONA, SCARSDALE is the second location of ZAGAT Top 5 Italian Restaurant, SAVONA, in Philadelphia. Consistent, creative, high quality dining and seamlessly orchestrated service has been the hallmark of SAVONA's success for 15 years. Now, Executive Chef, Andrew Masciangelo, and Chef de Cuisine, Eric Goods, offer their soulful regional Italian cooking here in Westchester, New York. Their farm to table philosophy involves handling products as few times as possible to capture the natural flavor intensity of each ingredient. Culinary excellence is supported by a killer wine program featuring an extensive array of wines by the glass created by Fred Dex, Master Sommelier and Yohann Zinier, GM/Wine Director. A 20 foot white marble bar, sexy lighting, dramatic drapery, contemporary leather chairs and thick butcher block tables set the stage for high quality dining. We look forward to welcoming you to SAVONA.
"We had heard all good things about Savona and finally had a chance to check it out for ourselves. We were doubting all the praise we had read about the food and wine however we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everything was. From the wine to the desert, everything was great. My steak, my wife's salmon, my father's pasta and my mother's veal all terriffic. No one had any complaints. Highly recommend."

"They used to have affordable bottles of wine here. The list changed and now the lowest bottle is $46-48. Yeah, it is Scarsdale, but how about a regular old bottle of red wine (Tuscan?) for 30-35 dollars?"

"Lovely restaurant with outside dining in the heart of Scarsdale. A little on the pricey side for things other than entrees which were $26.00 mostly. Rack of lamb and steak were specials which were $40. I had short ribs which was superb and very tender while my friend had Veal Milanese, which came with salad on top but was on the dry side. We had an early reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty at that time. It picked up between 6-7pm and was pretty busy impacting on the noise level. The service was excellent; the wait staff was eager to please and were very prompt to respond to requests. We did not order wine, cocktails, or dessert so we really cannot respond to those items. All in all, the experience was more than pleasant."

"Savona did not disappoint again. We ordered cocktails and I had a glass of champagne. After one sip I found it was rather flat and when I told the hostess she immediately whisked it away and opened a fresh bottle. Starters of creamy Burrata and fried artichokes very pleasing. For entrée we had the special pasta and short ribs. The pasta was delicious however short ribs were a tad dry and chewy. This does not reflect the usual quality of the food."

"We had a very pleasant experience at Savona: the food, service, and ambiance were very good. The one detraction was that my husband and I like to share portions in restaurants since they are usually more than adequate. In this case the portions ( salad, ravioli ) were really too small to share. Regardless, we would definitely return to Savona and order different entrees."

"Wine good but very expensive. Had a piece of Branzini fish...the portion was so small and what I was able to find it on the plate was not good at all. a piece of dry fish skin attached to a small bit of white fish The fish was $30.00 for nothing. Left the restaurant hungry. When I asked my husband if he would like to review his meal, which I remember he thought was terrible also, he said, "I do not even remember what I had or did I try to forget it!""

"Food was delicious but the appetizers are overpriced. Three crostinis for $15? Salad for $18? That's a rip off! Just because it is in Scarsdale is not a justification for charging such high prices. Food was delicious though."

"Excellent food but poor service. We had to ask for bread, we had to ask for someone to take our drinks order, we had to wait too long for our food, we were brought something other than what we ordered. And it was a Monday night - not even a weekend! But the food is definitely worth a visit."

"We were quite surprised with how outstanding this restaurant was. So many great choices on the menu we wished we were more than 2 people. Only disappointment was price of wines by the glass, which is outrageous. Looking forward to going back soon. Now I know why it has been so difficult to get a reservation."

"We have eaten at Savona several times and have always been very pleased with everything from beginning to end. The food is great with innovative specials each day and the service is fabulous. Meals are served on time from a very knowledgable and friendly waitstaff. Several times we have been introduced to excellent wines that we have added to our list of favorites. A certain Scottish Lass made this last Valentines Day dinner a delight from helping with menu selections to writing down the names of two excellent wines she recommended so we can request them again. We will definitely return here again and again. Aren't we lucky that this fine restaurant is right in our neighborhood ?"

"Westchester lacks in good food. This is our 5th visit to Savona and it was the worst. The bread was the only hi-light of the Savona experience. (It's baked fresh on premises). I had the pasta w/ claims my husband the pasta and bolognese both lacked flavor and zest. I've had better food at greesey Italian spots in Port Chester. Wine was mediocre when usually it's been pretty good. The crowd was 55 and older and dressed like they were coming home from bingo. Very lame crowd, boring food, maybe it will revive in time for summer."

"While we were there, a very large ,and heavy sound reducing fixture, that was approximately 3 feet by 6 feet came crashing down from the twenty foot high ceiling . Thankfully the table that it hit was empty. The only injury was the dishes and glasses on the set table(reduced to dust), and our dinner conversation. Apparently even though there were no injures, someone called the police. Yes two police cars, two cops, no injuries. I feel hat since the end of many meals were interrupter with this unnecessary interruption , the Managment should have gone to each table an apologized, maybe even offer a drink. The rest of the evening was uneventful ."
