"The food is authentic, but a bit too spicy. Also, it's a bit of a "dive" (cheap paper napkins and oilcloth tablecloths). It's a novelty. Bring your friends here for a taste of Louisiana. Don't come here for a romantic dinner for two or on a first date."
"A group of friends and I made reservations for brunch on President's Day (2/18/13), which was the 1 year anniversary of our trip to NOLA for Mardi Gras. Several of us called in advance to confirm that the brunch menu would be offered. We were assured it would; however, when the 1 lone waiter came to finally take our order we were told that only lunch was being served. Worst still, the food was bland, the drinks were weak, and the service was ridiculously slow (even for 1 waiter) and openly indifferent to our discontent. The waiter could not figure out how to process our check so one of us had to actually help at the register. When we requested a manager we were indifferently told that one was not present. This restaurant is a must miss!"
"The food was bad and came out of the kitchen way too quickly. I ordered the roasted chicken and it was not cooked all the way through. Even the salad was bad! How do you make salad bad?! I'll never return, nor recommend this restaurant to anyone."
"Good Cajun/Creole food. The gumbo and etouffee were good and authentic, but not outstanding. The music was cheery. The service was not particularly attentive, but not rude either. Prices were reasonable."
