"Great local place with live music... people do bring their kids, though, so if you're looking for an adult night out, go elsewhere or wait until much later. This is my second time at the Dogwood, and I had bragged about it to the friend I brought with me. Our food wasn't great this time... and the wait staff person didn't check back with us in time do anything different about it. Hopefully the next visit will rival the first one, otherwise the next visit may be the last."

"Thanks Dogwood for always meeting our expectations and accomodating our family so nicely. The cuisine (this time for Mother's Day brunch) never disappoints and the cocktails are always just wonderful! The boys appreciate the beer selection as well. As usual, a perfect dining experience."

"This may be our new FAVORITE restaurant. It was our first time here, even though we live close by. WHAT A GEM this is. There was live music (don't sit too close if you want to hear yourself talk - but that's also where they seat the noisy kids). The musician was talented and varied in repertoire. The food was absolutely delicious - from appetizer to salad to entrees that filled us too much to have room for dessert. We will be back. Again, and again."

"I don't often write reviews, however, the Dogwood really impressed me! Being almost 20 minutes late for our reservation, the table was still reserved for us and we had no problem getting in. Booking a reservation is a definite must, especially for a Sunday Brunch. I was impressed by the quick and responsive service despite the full restaurant. Our waitress regularly checked up on us, but not too much to be a nuisance. I had a hard time choosing what to order because everything looked absolutely delicious. The Dogwood is very generous in proportions. I ordered a custom omelet and I almost couldn't finish it all. I definitely plan on coming back here for dinner soon."

"The Dogwood was a find. We needed a place for a young couple with an 8 month old, and not only were they completely accommodating, the scene with the live music and friendly crowd gave this couple a sense of really being "out" even if with the baby. Food was delicious (Evergreen pizza, roasted beet salad, sweet potato fries, brews, chicken marsala). Saturday night and we were able to get a reservation. Though the place was hopping and vibrant and not quiet, somehow the accoustics were such that we could easily converse. We were given an end booth, which probably helped. Warm wood interior, a "put your feet up" kind of place. Oh yes, and parking -- in the courthouse lot. Couldn't have been easier."

"The Dogwood is great place. They have fantastic brunch and dinner menus. A very good beer selection. And it's not terribly pricey. One of my favorite places in JP for sure. You can also reserve a table online, which means you'll never have to wait to be seated. Highly recommend."
