"This was my first time to Nicola and found it to be very pleasing. We had a group of 5 girls to celebrate birthdays. Bar was small, but cozy. Had a great round table tucked away semi-private. The service was outstanding. Thought the appetizers were just okay; however, everyone's meals were great. Reasonably priced on both food and wines. The music was a bit loud and after awhile the Italian based songs grew a bit old. Would go back and would recommend."

"Nicola's is wonderful. From Spiranza the manager/owner to Nicola the Chef/owner. I have had 10 people to dinner, friend get-togethers, lunch and even closed a huge business deal while eating the spectacular food. There are menu items you want to see at an Italian restaurant and items you won't see outside of Rome Italy. The delicious pasta is made on site and the desserts are gorgeous and light. My favorite is the Diplomatica. Chef Nicola even makes his own Limoncella. Awesome. Try the ravioli made as they do in the Tuscan countryside. Then next time the light and lovely Risotto, any one will surprise and delight. You will be delighted. If you need a place for a big get together they have a room and table for 25 or more that is beautiful."

"Food was excellent. We went on Saturday night. The server was not good. We had to ask her twice for the price of the veal chops. Her attitude was if you have to ask you cannot afford it. She didn't tell us all of the specials. Told us the seafood lasagna was $18.00 when the bill came it was $25. Repeatedly spoke to us as if we were five years old "How do we like our dinner, do we need more water?" Very condescending.My husband has been there many times and did not experience this with other servers. We told her that we had a birthday person, never wished him happy birthday."

"As a first time experience we could not have asked for better. The wait staff (David) was amazing. My husband and I were underdressed in jeans and tees for the evening crowd but we enjoyed our experience and will be returning. The food and wine was great. I recommend the scallop dish. "We were initially seated close to the bar and in a high traffic area. We asked to be reseated and the manager moved us to a secluded section of the restaurant and it was a very pleasant exchange. It was restaurant week so there was a fixed menu. The items on the special were excellent. Our waiter reccommended a white and a red wine and bot were top notch. We will return"

"Nicola is one of Columbus' hidden gems...with real Italian food prepared by Italian Chef Nicola along with the help of his wife Speranza keeping the front of the store in order, its a cozy place for a romantic dinner or one with a group of friends. The pasta is fresh, the sauces are excellent and service is good. Do your palate a favor and give this place a shot. And if you do, make sure you give the Pappardelle al Lepre (slow cooked rabbit served over long, wide pappardelle pasta with a wonderful cacciatore sauce."

"We hadn't been back in sometime and thought we'd give it another chance. Glad we did! Wonderful time. Loved all of our food and the wait staff was wonderful as well. This will definitely be on our top five restaurant rotation from now on!"
