"We were there for my husband's birthday. The staff could not have been better. They gave us the best table to view the Hawaiian sunset and a free dessert. The evening was made even better as Thursdays is 50% off the main course price!"

"Entrees were supposed to be 50% off - otherwise we would not go as prices are on high side even for Waikoloa. Had macadamia nut mahi mahi & fresh opakapaka - the featured fish. Mahi was small, but good; opakapaka was thick with skin on, which was very difficult to remove - not as good as most I've had. Wine is very expensive. Check had some fees added so it was higher than expected for 2 entrees plus 1 glass wine. 3 piece live music was very enjoyable."

"Lovely on mon. n wed. half-off dinner (not aps, soup, salad or desert) nites during luau n show. Bartender Keith is experienced n friendly! The wedge salad is great! Also think prime rib is Choice, not prime and you should therefor flavor interior better. Cat-people can save some cut up leftover protein for the cute feral kitties if u go for a walk."

"Rib eye with snow crab was excellent. For +$10, you get more than 1lb (it looked like 1.5lbs), that's a great deal. Mahimahi was ok. Just like any other Hawaiian cuisine, it is on the sweet side. Caesar salad to my surprise was one of the best I have ever had. Sushi pocket was ok and so was the lobster bomb(deep fried). We went on Mon 50% off, so it made it worth it. Dining al fresco is also nice. Live music was a nice touch. You don't have a lot of choices in Kona for good dining options. I strongly recommend going on Thur or Mon for 50% off, otherwise it's a bit pricey."

"Overall waitress service kind of slow. Person who brought bread, water, etc very good and friendldy. Ordered BBQ ribs and the first dinner came out with cold mashed potatoes and ribs that looked and tasted like charcoal bricquets. This is pub food, not a difficult dinner to cook! After some time the second try arrived and it was better but the corn on the cob was abslolutely tasteless and not for human consumption. Add to that the waitperson never came to ask about my satisfaction with meal number 2 until well after I was done and you have a poorly run restaurant. Won't be back there for a long time!

"Beautiful setting. Bar kinda out of place with restaurant and buffet room locations. Pool view, outstanding. High winds the night we dined. No effect on tables or diners. Prime rib was excellent. Servers very attentive. One odd note , a cat cruising tables for scraps. When we pointed it out o a sever he made as if it was normal occurrence. Worst part about it, the cat was very old so diners where taking pity and feeding the cat. Try the deserts they where a hit !!! We ate the Friday night crab and prime rib buffet. Very good, only thing missing was more seafood. No poke, sashimi and the like. I will dine here again."
