"Clearly a tired brand that has cut every corner on food quality to counteract the coupons it regularly offers. Can't even begin to critique the food as it was poorly cooked, poorly plated and misrepresented. We are not picky people either."

"We went for a pre-Mothers day dinner (we knew most places will be packed today). We went with another couple and had a wonderful time. We talked about 1 hour after we finished. The waitress and staff were very nice. I had flowers ordered and they were there on the table for the ladies. The prime rib dinners were great. Thanks so much!"

"A great place for a romantic evening. We had the Campfire Fest for Two and were stuffed when we left. It is defiantly worth the money. The booths offer privacy and keep the restaurant very quiet. The service was attentive, but not disruptive."

"This was my 2nd of 3 visits. I knew the Brand from living on the West coast. I had never eaten in the bar area. Reasonable & interesting for that restaurant. The wooden chairs at the table were a bit wobbly where I felt the need to switch to the "other", which was better. They May have been purposely like that - I didn't care for it - but, Oh Well.
I ordered the Pesto Salmon. Having moved from the Pacific NW, I had had more than my share of salmon over the yrs. THIS plate was Great - light, cooked through, Moist & Very tasty w/ the fine pesto sauce. I ordered wild rice and cole slaw for my (2) side choices. The rice was cooked Just Right. I had never tasted slaw made like that! -Great!"

"Great food as usual & service was good. I wanted a blackberry ginger ale & the bar was out of blackberry syrup but made the effort to create a similar drink for me. My only complaint would be that their seating is very cramped. I made a reservation for five & we were seated in a booth that could hold no more that three, maybe four, small people comfortably. We asked to be moved & this was taken care of quickly, we were moved to a larger table, however we were informed that the original booth was the largest booth they had. Just be aware that the seating can be a little tight, so plan accordingly."

"I was very disappointed in our service. When we went to be seated, someone had already placed someone at the table we were going to. When our kids ordered the sampler platter, the waitress came and said someone else had take the appetizer and we would have to wait for another one. Our kids steaks were so tough as to be inedible. Black Angus is someplace we really have enjoyed in the past, but this time was very disappointing. We needed drink refills and our waitress was so busy she didn't have time to check on our drinks. It will be awhile before we go back."

"The food was good overall, the lobster was a little undercooked but acceptable.. The restaurant atmosphere is perfect for that romantic dinner for two or a family of four just eating out.
Our waitress was great! Never let the drinks go dry and was always checking on us.
My only complaint is for the hostesses, as we were being led to our table, we requested a booth but the hostess told us that none were available even though there we quite a few vacant. But once again the wait staff saved the day, she immediately took care of the issue and got us a booth even though she lost us to another waitress.
I only wish I remembered their names, but I will be available to tell you where we sat and our time of arrival."

"I understand it was Valentines Day and busy, but we waited 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, our appetizer came 10 minutes before our drinks did. We were sat in a corner behind a tall booth, and our server couldn't see us, so we were constantly out of drinks and had to run around to hunt down our server. Food came, and there was no ketchup or steak sauce...took another 10 minutes to receive that. We won't be back. :( I wrote to the restaurant with hopes that they'll coach their servers to be more attentive...we spent a LOT of money and it was celebrating Valentines day and a Birthday with 7 in our family and a very disappointing experience. I have yet to hear back from the Restaurant regarding my feedback."

"This was our first trip to Black Angus in hopes it would just as great as the menu looked, however, it was not meant to be.
My date's steak as well as mine were cooked a little longer then we had asked, not medium rare. The meat was also really tough and bland in seasoning.
We were really hoping for a greater experience, but were sadly let down."

"Busier than we expected, and our server was run off her feet. She did try pretty hard though. Two minuses: the steak was fairly tough (though prepared exactly the way we asked for it, so that was good), and they apparently don't even HAVE Cointreau. Not sure why they want to make a cosmo with tequila, but apparently it's the way they do it. So I ordered a margarita (hey, if it's going to have tequila, I'd rather it TASTE like it should have tequila :-)."

"Food was excellent as always. Despite request for quiet booth they tried to place us in high traffic area for our anniversary dinner but found us a quiet booth upon second request. SLOW service."

"In Albuquerque it's rare to find a place whose waitstaff seem to really pride themselves on service, who don't look at you with exasperation if you ask for a refill on your drink, and manage to bring the food while it's hot and fresh and not sun-burned from 20 minutes under the heat lamp. Black Angus was a pleasant surprise: not only was the food as we'd hoped it would be but the staff were great. Don't hesitate to drop in."
