"My wife and I had heard about this kosher buffet in midtown. I turned out to be an excellent lunch for under $15. We also treated ourselves to very generous moderately priced drinks . We also appreciated the very friendly service there."

"Steaks are very good. They appear to be prime, i.e. soft and cooked as asked. Sides of yuca - mashed & fried, are ok, nothing spectacular. Salads are very good and could be a complete dinner if accompanied with a tapas or soup. Liquor is very good - kosher mojitos, margaritas, beer. The room is not good for conversation- very noisy (sheva brachas, birthdays, graduation parties,...). Will definitely return for the steaks!"

"Food was very good. Service was very professional... when they stopped by the table; staff seemed to get overwhelmed at peak time but that may be because it was a national holiday weekend. But they let us linger and talk long after we finished meal. Kudos.
I want to go back and try more things on the menu."

"Menu was not as in website, lacking some of my favorite tapas. Service was slow and then we received something we had not ordered, which was added to our bill, prior to correction. What we did receive was quite good. Not a great dining experience for an anniversary outing."

"Lunch was a buffet only. While the choices were limited, everything was so fresh and delicious. I had a piece of the best, freshest fish I have had out in a very long time. I highly recommend this hidden Graeme for a well priced, delicious meal. I can't wait to try it for dinner."

"I GUESS I EXPECTED TOO MUCH AFTER READING SOME OF THE REVUES BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED & DIDN'T REMEMBER THAT A KOSHER PLACE DOESN'T SHOP ON SHABBAT FOR FOOD SO THE SALMON CARPACCIO WAS NOT SO FRESH HAD NO FLAVOR.THE CHICKEN WINGS WERE HAD A TAST OF REHEATED; I WILL NOT GO BACK FOR DINER.MAYBE FOR DRINKS. THE SERVICE WAS VERY NICE."

"I was unfortunately held up meeting a friend for dinner and arrived 20 minutes late. She had been sitting there, waiting to order a drink, and not one person came by the table to check in. Lost revenue for the restaurant already, and we hadn't even started!
Service was slow, the place was noisy, and the food was decent but forgettable. The only time service picked up was when it even remotely looked like we had finished a plate -- then the staff came by to clear the table (almost incessantly), which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable.
I don't work or live near Col Cir, but if I were in the area again, EVEN for kosher food, I would rather take my business elsewhere."

"So nice to have something different as far as kosher options. This restaurant only serves an all you can eat buffet at lunchtime for $15 pp. There was beef stew (my fav), tilapia filets, grilled chicken with cilantro, breaded chicken, mini burger patties (salty for me), platter of grilled veggies (Japanese eggplant, green and yellow squash, asparagus, and peppers) and white rice to spoon that delicious stew sauce over and of course a Latin must...sweet plantains. There was also green salad and a platter of fresh fruit (pineapple, apples, Asian pears, grapes, honeydew, canteloupe, and watermelon. I enjoyed it!"

"We ordered at 7:30pm on a Sunday night and they had run out of both Chilean Sea bass dishes. They came over to tell me after discovering each one which was about 15 minutes or more after we ordered. So I ordered the Halibut which was good and food still came on time. Otherwise, excellent food, nice servers, great Chardonnay and decent singing of Happy Birthday to our teenager with amazing chocolate cake! I will be going back for next celebration or even before!"

We started with the quinoa salad-exceptional. The weakest dish was the tortilla de patatas-a wedge of a bland quiche-like preparation. The chicken wings (alas de pollo) were no better or worse than fried wings with hot sauce that I've had elsewhere. (No bleu cheese with it, of course!) It was a generous serving, which was good. The sauteéd mushrooms (champiñones salteados) were EXCELLENT, and short ribs (costilla de res con chipotle) were even better than that. Don't miss them. And that was enough for three enthusiastic, hungry diners.
The only downside was the live music. It was so loud that it was intrusive, spoiling dinner conversation."

"The food took 40 minutes to come and it was not crowded at all... Staff was nice, but I asked the waiter if the dish I wanted was dark meat..he said it was, so I ordered it only to receive a plate of white meat. Very disappointing. And after 30 minutes, I wasn't going to order again so I ate my sides, a little bit of chicken, and had to waste the rest since I do not like white meat."

"Only a kosher place would consider guacamole a Spanish tapas, but besides that, the ceviche was great, albeit more of a Peruvian starter than a traditional Spanish Tapas, the Sangria was authentic and delicious. Didn't get to try the Patatas Bravas, the ultimate of Tapas dishes because it was listed as a side as opposed to a Tapas and we were too full to order from the sides after we had such a plentiful array of fish and meat Tapas dishes."

"Comparatively speaking, this was a good restaurant, but not one that I'd make a point to visit again. It seems their claim to fame is that the food is kosher, which is not something that matters to me. Otherwise, there was nothing especially memorable about the experience. We were there relatively early (6:00) and the wait staff underlings seemed to hover a bit while it was difficult to get the attention of our head waiter, who seemed primarily interested in telling his subordinates to clear plates or fill water glasses."

"Food was TASTELESS. What a disappointment this place was! The online menu (passover) looked excellent, but I've never had such bland food in my life. How can you mess up a steak?! Service was lousy, waiter refilled our sodas CONSTANTLY without asking and then charged us for every one. We paid $30.00 for soda! Ridiculous prices, inattentive staff, awful food, someone needs to bring some SPICES to this place! And they call it a Mexican?! Hah!!"

"One of the best Kosher restaurants I've ever been to. I'm not kosher but my husband is, so I've been to many kosher & non-kosher restaurants. This is one of the only kosher restaurants that just seems like a really nice, regular restaurant. The service was impeccable, and the food was very good even though it was during Passover. The ambiance of the place is very nice, though I took one star off for that because it was sooooo crowded that people waiting were packed in not only by the door but down the aisles too. Maybe that's because it was one of the only kosher restaurants open for Passover; I'll give it another chance because of that, but if that is normal for them we'll probably go there less because that takes away from the experience."

"I love the food at Ladino but this is my second visit where the service was bordering on being rude. The Passover Menu is in place so the typical lunch menu was not available. It was a lunch for two so we split an appetizer and entree'. The reaction to splitting the serving(s) was as if I was suspect to even being allowed to eat there.
Glad we did split - the serving was huge. Service throughout the meal was usually prompted by us asking for the waiter. When he came to the table he approached us like "now what"? I apologized to my first time guest for recommending the restaurant and will think twice before returning."

"I went here with some coworkers for lunch. They had a buffet lunch. Not a big selection - just about 5 dishes and some sides and salad. But everything was really good. No desserts, but for the price we paid, we were very happy with what we got. I would definitely go back here again."

"When we sat down there was nothing on the table other than the place-mats, utensils & napkins. Would suggest to give something as soon as patron sits at the table, i.e. chips & salsa, or guacamole, or bread etc. Also waiter should offer glass of water as well. Food also took a while to come. However staff was friendly & nice and decor & design of restaurant is unique. Would give it an overall grade of "Fair""

"While the ambience and service were excellent, we felt that the food was mediocre. Still, eating at Ladino's was a pleasant experience - and we'd probably return if we were in the neighborhood - or for another occasion. We definitely would love to try the $14.95 lunch special as we felt the dinner cost was expensive."

"The service, drinks food and presentation were amazing, especially the 'surprise' birthday cake I ordered for my fiancé. Only oomplaint was the prices. 2 drinks, 2 appetizers (guacamole and chicken and beef skwers which included 2 of each) and the slice of cake set us back $85 with tax and tip."

"Wonderful place! The food couldn't be better! The staff was attentive and informative!! Special Valentine's Day Dinner--it's our anniversary too! I had a white bean and meat tapas that was superb. The guacamole was great too! And the margarita had just the right amount of salt."
