"This is my second visit to Soleto and neither the food nor the service were as good as my first visit. One order was wrong. The food was good. To be successful downtown, food and/or service have to be exceptional - such is the competition now. On that scale, Soleto doesn't measure up."

"Have been several times and the service, atmosphere and food is always good. My only complaint is that it hasn't attracted enough customers to warrant being open every day. Seems about half the time I want to go (I live in DTLA, so I walk), they aren't open. Life in DTLA is much better than it once was - but it's a long way from being New York. More restaurants than hungry people, particularly on the weekends."

"I have not dined here for at least 9 months.. we went to the patio and found that they installed retractable shades. What a pleasure! No more in the hot sun. It was like I was on vacation while eating my lunch. The shade provided shelter from the sun, but it allowed the breeze to come in. Absolutely wonderful.
I had the Shrimp Cobb Salad, this too was excellent. I can most certainly see a return visit in my future."

"The manager went out of his way to accomodate us . I called at 6:00 letting him know that we were running late. I asked if we could order our dinner as we were to be at Staples Center at 7:00 P.M.

"We just happen to get tickets for the Kings playoff on Saturday night . I booked Soleto not knowing what to expect. Our waitress Loren and the manager Mike made sure that we were taken care of. Even the hostess was lovely.

"When we walked in to Soleto, my first thought was that it looked less like a restaurant and more like a bar. They seem to want a clubby vibe there, with very loud music and the bar, rather than dining tables, taking up most of the space. The food was alright but nothing exciting. I was excited to try a new place, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back."

"Though we had a 6:45pm Open Table reservation, we still had to wait (the restaurant wasn't completely full and we were the only ones waiting for a table). Service was OK at best (our server maybe had too many tables?) We ordered appetizers right away (with our drink orders) so that we would have something to eat asap. Our entrees came before our appetizers did, so the server asked if we still wanted our appetizers, to which we replied that we didn't. We ordered salads with chicken breast as our entrees, which, at $17 a salad, was WAY too much for the amount of food that we received; not enough value for the $. The ambiance was the best thing about Soleto, though it was on the noisy side, so conversation was difficult."

"Our first time here and what a great find! Lively bar and dining room, great energy and real inviting. We sat at the bar as we were early for our reservation and the service was fantastic! Jenny and the other bartender were so friendly and helpful. We ended up eating at the bar, the food was great, service was great and we lacked for nothing. Soleto did something rare to find these days, they made first time guests feel like we had been coming here for years!! We are taking a several friends back next Saturday. Great job by everyone here !"

I ordered the Shrimp pesto pizza, which I thought was going to have more pesto than what it actually had. The shrimp was delicious, but there was something weird about the sauce. I have to say I was not a fan of this pizza.
However, our appetizers were very delicious. I cannot recall the name of it as my friend was the one that ordered them, but one of was the fundue type cheese with grilled veggies. The cheese was delicious. The veggies completed the cheese very well. They were grilled to perfection. The other appetizer was the calamari. This was my friend's favorite. He enjoyed it the most. They were very well cooked."

"The space was lovely with an excellent decor and nice, large central bar staffed by attentive bartenders. What was simply OK was the pizza which, although good, was simply pizza that had put on aires of being something special. For example, you can get egg on any of your pizza similar to other high-end pizzarias around town but they simply cook an egg in the pan and then put it on the pizza, as opposed to the more traditional way, of actually cooking the egg on the pizza which tends to blend the flavors of the pizza into the egg making for a tasty treat. Overall a positive experience but I was slightly disappointed by the quality of their pizzas which appear to be putting on aires a bit."
