"Overall, Cafe Gratitude was a fun place to eat. I really enjoyed the patio dining, and the food was delicious. I was most impressed later when I needed a copy of the receipt (which I had lost). Brian asked me questions about what I had eaten and was able to locate a copy for me. Very, very kind. I would definitely eat here again (and I don't always seek out raw, vegan, or local...I just like food in general)."

"Interesting concept for a restaurant. I'm not much for the vegan/raw food movement but I'll try it every now and then. Had the "I am Awesome" (eggplant parmesan with nut cheeses) and really enjoyed it. I don't think I would've known they didn't use real cheese if it was listed on the menu. The staff is friendly, the crowd is young and smart and the food is delicious. Not sure how often I'd return just because the food is not my scene, but it's nice to have this place on the roster and I always enjoy a new food experience. Super crowded - reservation recommended."

"Even though I'm a carnivore, I loved the food here! Thankfully, we'd reserved a table because the cafe was really bustling & busy. Over server seemed a bit overwhelmed and we waited quite awhile to order and for our food. My friend who recommended Cafe Gratitude told me that on each of her visits there her server gave their table a topic to discuss (for example "What is love?") We didn't get the topic of the day which would havd been fun. Despite this, I'd still go back. I loved the "What are you grateful for?" inscription on the plates & bowls and was inspired by all the life affirming menu item names.The food was flavorful & filling. As a result of this vegan lunch adventure--my first-- I'm intrigued to try more vegan dining spots."

"This is one of the friendliest establishments we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The vibe is down-home and welcoming; the service impeccable, the food is absolutely some of the tastiest anywhere... and it's all VEGAN! The point is, my comments have special merit since I am a steak and wine person... and this restaurant - with absolutely no meat - rocks!"

"sat at the bar and Kaya my waiter was great . food was delicious which is not often the case in vegetarian restaurants . they can be quite bland .i had a delicious macaroon for desert . i enjoyed their little shopping corner too . i liked the place so much i went back the following night with a friend and sat in the dining area. nice ambiance , the crowd was cool , the place was busy and on monday night they have music at 9 pm ."

"I have been here 3 times and this last visit was a disappointment. The brussels sprouts were excellent when we had them a year ago, and they came highly recommended. However, they were not properly roasted and came out soggy. The Cesear salad and "I am humble" came out very well, but the veggie burger was rather bland and very unfilling. If a burger place can learn to make a good veggie burger, a vegan restaurant should have an excellent one! They were also out of every dessert except for one. I understand that we were a late reservation, but it seemed that something was lacking here. I will probably come back and hope for a better experience."

"Have eaten here regularly since it's opened and this was the first time I've 1) made a reservation to dine, 2) had an entree that was not good (literally everything else I've had here has been extraordinary), and 3) had extremely slow service. The reservation was a new thing and it is certainly a requirement now, even on a weekday. The server gave her honest opinion about the entree, and she was correct, it would have been better served cooked or I would have been better off ordering something else - I wanted to try it anyway (having had and loved nearly everything else on the menu). The service was extremely slow - it took more than two hours to complete dinner and desert. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the poor service."

"It's best if we get seated on the outside where the lamps are. It's better for the ambiance and you get the heaters. I'm not the right gage for temperature though because I'm always cold.(-: My party and I sat inside, and it was a bit cold for me. We didn't have a view of anything so that is why I didn't check scenic veiw; we were seated on the floor area. It took a little long for the food to come, but that was understandable because it was a little busy. The food of course was AMAZING. I brought people who were not vegans, and they loved it. I have recommended Cafe Gratitude to several people and those that I have recommeded it to have already tried it. I will bring more. Thank you! "If you're not a vegan or a veggie even, but generally a meat and potatoes sort as am I, you'd be justifiably skeptical going in. You won't be going out. Really a pleasant surprise. One unfortunate episode when we asked for salt..seriously...sure, but it will cost a $1. Why? It's not just any salt but (sorry don't recall it's sublime provenance) something extarofdinary. Really? Yep. Thus the exchange with our apologetic server. Otherwise you leave feeling well fed, culinarily pleased, energized, and light on your feet. Plus, no one takes the mantra-titled dishes too seriously."

"love this place. If I had to choose between Larchmont and Venice location I'd choose Larchmont. Venice is a great space with beautifully done interior but I'm not crazy about the staff or how popular they think they are. the other night i called in an order, was told i'd have to call back in 40 minutes, then ended up going in to order at the counter and felt like I was waiting in line at the DMV. the hipster DMV. the girl behind the counter seemed like a bored teenager who'd rather be at a commercial audition.
Hollywood, on the other hand, has no attitude at all. The nicest staff around, a great ambiance that is perfect whether you're in a group or one-on-one. My boyfriend and I sometimes eat here three times in a week."
