"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out at Drovers. Waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. Chef Kevan visited our table and was very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to returning and bringing friends!"

"This is a gem of a restaurant. The food it phenomenal and the staff are lovely, especially the owners and managers. Definately do their opera nights, it's an extra treat! Top notch food that's local and often organic, can't beat the whole experience!"

"Excellent food and presentation - just the right amount and reasonably priced. Excellent apple martini! When the tables fill up it is difficult to get through an isle and out of the restaurant."

"My third trip to Drover's. Once again, the food was outstanding. I began with a Lobster Bisque that was simply fantastic. That was followed by a filet that was cooked to perfection. Along with that were excellent mashed potatoes and excellent summer squash. The flavors in all of the dishes were very, very good. At one point, the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to check and see how everyone was enjoying their dinner. It was a very nice touch and he seemed genuinely concerned that everyone enjoyed what he prepared. In addition, the service for our party of 8 was very good. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their food. In my view, this restaurant rivals any restaurant in the Balt. wash. region. Well worth the trip!!"

"Friendly (but not too friendly) server; she was as attentive as she could be and let us take our time. Fun tasting some wines at the table before selecting one for dinner. Fabulous oysters on the half shell. The lobster trio meal was very very tasty. Love the flavors and presentation. Husband had the lamb, which he raved about. Highly recommend."

"Service was good, but we expected more as I believe they usually deliver more. Tables are close so conversations flow over. Food was very good and the staff is very pleasant. We will certainly give it another visit."

"This was my second time going to Dover's. This time, I brought friends because the food was so good the first time around. Unfortunately for my friends, Dover's didn't live up to the hype. They had a fixed 3 course menu for Valentine's Day. The worst was the creme brulee and chocolate cake. The creme brulee tasted as if it had been defrosted and dumped on our plates after being coated in a much too sugary sauce to enhance the presentation. The chocolate cake tasted as if it had been soaked in a vat of liquor.
My first visit was so remarkable, I'll be back despite the Valentine's Day disaster."

"The night we dined, the restaurant was only serving a special menu in continuation of the celebration of Valentine's Day. The selections were excellent but we wished we would have known this in advance. It was not noted when I made the reservation on-line. We had asked a couple to join us to experience the regular menu selections. And since we were picking up the tab, it was a much pricier evening than planned. We did watch a table or two leave when they found out they could not get the regular menu offerings."

"A short drive from our house I wanted to find a restaurant we havn't been to yet so I found Drovers and I'm so glad I did. We arrived at 5:30pm and we were seated promptly. The ambiance was beautiful in this small restaurant and yet we were the only people there until 6:15 which was very nice and quiet. The Wine list features mostly maryland wines but I don't mind the Serpeant Ridge Cabernet so that was fine. The chef/owner came out to greet us personally. I had the special (Pheasant) with a blackberry glaze and my wife had the Rockfish. Both were excellent! We will definitely be back to Drovers."

"We went Valentine's weekend. They had a violinist, pianist and an opera singer. They were excellent. The owner/chef came out at the end of the evening and sang with the singer. He studied opera and was incredible. We just had a wonderful time! The food was excellent (first course was just ok). We can't wait to go back. Great people run this restaurant. You won't be disappointed."

"We all enjoyed our dinner. We ended up waiting a little longer than might be normal, but the chef was quite aware and brought us a salad to compensate for the wait time. It was a very nice surprise and an excellent salad. The service was quite good, very friendly staff. A small place but that is my preference. We would definitely go again."

"Menu choices are broad featuring both staples (Kevan's Bowl of Goodness) and seasonal offerings. Wines are well chosen with local and socially-conscious options. My wife and I have enjoyed both lunch and dinner several times - the risotto alone will win you over and bring you back."

"Cocktails are very small pours, half the size of most nice restaurants. Not a very big selection of name brand liquor. On the night we were there service was a bit slow. Our waitress was new but was trying very hard. The menu is written in a very strange way....raises many questions as to the preparation of various dishes. Needs to be revised."
