Nestled in the heart of downtown Toronto's St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood, you dine on plush divans under lantern lit tent. Rich French - Moroccan food and belly dancing performances combine to make your next special event extra special.
The Sultan's Tent offers a variety of different seating opportunities throughout the week each with its own belly dance performance. While dining in The Sultan's Tent you choose from our fabulous four-course dinner menu that offers French-Moroccan influenced food to meet the most discerning palate.
For a more casual ala carte dining experience, join us in Café Moroc. Situated at the entrance to The Sultan's Tent, Café Moroc is reminiscent of 1930s Casablanca with its cream colours, dark wood accents and giant palms.
Groups of all sizes are welcome in both areas of our restaurant.
"Went for a mother's day dinner; restaurant was busy and the atmosphere is nice with the mock tents and bazaar theme. We had a four course prix fixe menu option with lots of choices.
During the dinner, there was a belly dancing show and they did a good job of getting the diners involved. It was entertaining and fun to watch while waiting in between courses. This is really the reason to come here, I think.
The food was decent. I had some chilled beet soup, crab cakes with frog legs, couscous royale and a creme brule dessert. Everything tasted good, but the spice level was toned down (or slightly overwhelmed with salt, not sure which) and the kebabs were a little dried out. Overall, decent Moroccan/French inspired food."

"One of the main attractions to the Sultans Tent is the Belly Dancers. Unfortunately, on this night the entertainment was the weakest link in the chain."

"The place has great ambiance - a tented silk feeling, and a belly-dancing show with each sitting; however, the food was definitely disappointing - generally bland and unappetizing. I had mushroom soup (a special) that was quite tasty, a seafood pastry (bland), Chicken Marakesh (couscous was good but chicken tasteless), and cookies (fine). My husband ordered from the premium menu - his food was at least as bland as mine, but more expensive. The focus seems to be on quantity, not quality. If you're willing to pay for great ambiance and something different and you don't care about the food, totally go. If you're into food quality at all, totally skip it."

"Great ambiance. The food was good. Great service and the dance was entertaining. Would go recommend. To enjoy, you'll need to spend at least $130 (before tax) for 2."

"I was in Morocco last September so it was so nice to visit the restaurant. It took me back to the restaurants I visited. The food was good except I was a bit disappointed that it was not a bit more spicy. Morocco is noted for all their spices so I thought the food would reflect that but the entertainment and atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. I would most definitely come back, I am looking forward to bringing more friends and family. Thanks again for a wonderful evening. Wine was delicious."

"I expected a better entertainment... they were only 2 dancers ... they were looking for the public to dance with them... I did not pay for that. I am disappointed."
