"Went with a group a friends while on vacation. Seated a table where it was very windy and cold and they would not reseat us. Sangria was watery, lobster ravioli had no lobster and was not worth the double charge to make it entree size. Finally the service was terrible, our server only paid attention to us when it came time to collect the bill. I will never go back and recommend others avoid this place!!"

"The views from Oceano are simply stunning. We had a wonderful evening watching the waves roll in & enjoyed the view from the comfort of our outdoor table. We started off with the Mahi Mahi Appetizer - it was amazing. It was followed up with A chicken Apricot dish & that was also incredible. I was a bit disappointed that their menu online did not match their current menu. We settled for a custard dish & found it overly sweet & rather bland. Despite this we had an amazing time & the other foods we had were excellent. Servers were knowledgable & courteous, however, despite it being a quiet evening, they were a little hard to find at times! We will definitely go back & eat there and I highly recommend you not miss out on the food or the views!"

"Great location right on the ocean. Music very loud, it'd be nice to hear the surf and be able to converse more easily. They had run out of several items Sunday at 7:00 p.m., but my snapper (third choice) was perfectly cooked."

"I think this place is suited much better for the scene and for drinks. However they did not have a cocktail menu yet (said it was being printed). They did not have any food specials and the menu was not extensive. The lobster raviolis had a strange flavor (highly citrus which did not go with what you would expect and hardly any lobster flavor)! The scallops were good. I think they just need to work out some kinks. Service was slow and server was not able to be found when we wanted him. Worth checking out for drinks and ambience as the view is great, but skip the food."

"As a single person I felt a bit discriminated against. They had regular tables and "hightop tables" that were more suitable for a bar. Instead of seating me at a regular table, as a single, they felt perfectly ok with seating me at a hightop table. This even though I had told the woman that I was recovering from back surgery and wasn't sure that the stool seats (no backs) were something that I could handle. She said "let me know" as she moved off.
She was helpful after the meal in calling me a taxi. (the place was so far off the beaten track that you had to call a taxi to come and get you to take you back to your hotel).
Food was nice."

"From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you are treated like a very valued guest. From the hostess to the servers to Chef Austin himself it is a very caring and enthusiastic staff. We ate there 4 times in March and each time we were impressed by the quality and presentation. My particular favorite is the diver scallops. They are difficult to cook to perfection, but they were. From appetizers to desserts there is not one item that I didn't enjoy."

"What a gem! I loved our experience at Oceano. After seeing it first on the Food Network, I was hesitant to see if what looked so amazing was all smoke and mirrors. I am happy to report that indeed the restaurant lived up to our expectations. The service was STELLAR, food was delicious, and ambiance was caribbean cool. I was even able to meet Chef Austin which really made the night complete. He was personable and sat down to chat for a few minutes--even allowing a picture at the end. I would recommend Oceano to all those who want fine dining at GREAT value:)"

"The view is simply spectacular. You are dining under the stars while looking at the crashing waves on a warm tropical night, right on the beach but without the sand. It does not get any better than that. The service is superb. Our hostess was very attentive to our needs and we did not have to call her for anything: she was always around. The food is very good. We ordered the appetizer of churrasco amarillo egg roll, which is grilled skirt steak in an egg roll made with ripe plantain. Delicious. The Margaritas are excellent. My main dish was Chimichurri Marinated Sirloin with scallion mashed potatoes. I ordered medium well but it was more like medium rare. Good but not great. My wife ordered the Palermo pork with corn humita. Very good."

"My wife and I went to Oceano while on vacation/anniversary. The location of the the resturant is beautiful with unbeatable ocean views. The food was good but the service was rushed and we felt like we were being pushed out the door. I wouldn't recommend this resturant for anyone looking a nice relaxing night out."

"When we wentwe were treated to a night to remember by the staff and the food served at Oceano. From the moment we walked in and were warmly treated with a big smile from the hostess Belkies, we felt like we made a good choice for dinner. We flew in from MA earlier in the day and had seen the Oceano featured on the Food Network the prior day and made reservations on line before we flew down. Chef Austin came to our table to say hi and gave us personalized attention. He suggested a 5 course menu tasting so we could sample the menu. He brought the first course personally to our table and explained how it was prepared. Our waitress Nicole was friendly and attentive to all our needs and helped make this a night we will never forget."

"We had an amazing meal at Oceano. We were returning to Charlotte, NC from the island of Guadeloupe and had to overnight in either San Juan or Miami. We choose San Juan just so that we could try Oceano. Enjoyed the food so much, especially the pineapple coconut soup (amazing). Appreciate Chef Austin Henry chatting with us and letting us try his lobster bisque. He was very down to earth and genuinely interested in our dining experience. By the way, the lobster bisque was heaven (and I'm not even a big lobster fan). The shot of bisque was great but I could have finished off the pot of it, ha! The staff could not have been more helpful, nice, down to earth and excited to be there. We felt special and at home at the same time."

"A group of 10 friends were meeting in San Juan, PR a day prior to our cruise and my wife wanted a good outdoor restaurant to start off the week. We found through a couple of online sites very few restaurants that offered ocean view access then we came upon Oceano. We felt Oceano was worth a try and we were delighted with the choice. Yes, the ocean can be a little noisy at it rushes on to the beach but the ambience more then made up for it as well as the wait staff whom made every effort to make our short stay their pleasant and relaxing. If you want to have a good meal while overlooking the beach and ocean this is the place."

"la noche que fui habia un evento especial y aunque yo habia recervado con anticipacion me llamaron para decirme q no tenian mesa para mi grupo que podian hacer dos una frente a otra, me reuce y me dieron una mesa de cuatro donde nos acomodamos 6, nadia nos atendia mi esposo busco en la barra a alguien que estaba atendiendo y le pidio q por favor si nos podia atender obiamente dando una propina en fin la experiencia no recomendable. lastima ya q el lugar es hermoso. recomendaria que se esmeren mas en la atencion y en la organizacion"

Read the reviews and was excited to see a great list of tapas. The waitress said they were changing the menu. Appeared not classy at all. Left soon after"
