"Las Campanas is a decent hotel restaurant that has lovely outdoor ambiance. Unfortunately it is like many Mexican restaurants; in- authentic cuisine and a boring menu. I chose the most "traditional" dish - the chili verde pork. It was cooked to perfection but the rice was eehh and black beans were boring. The guacamole made at the table was very good as the avocados were perfectly ripe and the rest of the ingredients gave them a lovely flavor.
The set up makes you feel as if you are the only table so there was plenty of privacy. The wait staff was fantastic. We paid with cash, two credit cards and a charge to a room and our head waiter accepted this graciously. If I stay at the Mission Inn I might eat there again."

"We always have a wonderful time at Las Campanas, but it was so nice to have reservations made through OpenTable. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we were seated pretty much right at that time! Otherwise we would have had to wait 45 min to an hour to be seated. The food and service was great as usual and we will definitely be going back again!"

"It was insanely hot in Riverside and they do not have misters. All the food was lukewarm. The chips were cold. The tortilla soup was a broth with 2 tiny pieces of ckn. Everytime we needed something we had to flag someone down. The service was BAD, the food lukewarm.We were told from an employee in The Mission Inn because of the heat we could sit inside the Lounge. He said tell them at the gate. I told the manager and he said NO!! He bit my head off. I felt he was very rude, it's not what you say, it's how you say it. He did come over later and apologize and said he could accomodate us just not on Mother's Day. Well hello that is when I would try to!! Sorry Mission Inn. Bad service, lukewarm food, and high prices= go somewhere else!"

"The Mission Inn is one of my favorite places to go for a special time. This happened to be my Wife's Birthday which falls on Cinco de Mayo, so a Mexican restaurant was in order. While I have ben to the other restaurants at the Mission Inn, this was the first time to Las Campanas. We were on time and they took us right in. Our waitress took our drink order right away, then we waited. The food and drinks were great. But for some reason service seemed very slow, might have been the Holiday. But the restaurant was not as crowded as I would have expected. Would still go back, perfect setting for a romantic meal."

"The service was so slow it was ridiculous. We were not in a hurry, but had we not been with good friends with whom we love to chat, we would have been frustrated. We sat down at 1:00 pm and at 2:00 still did not have our food.

"It was exciting to sit on the patio for dinner especially on a clear skied night. The thing that was uncomfortable is that it is quite congested & on top of that we are sitting next to the entrance to the hotel. Thats a lot of noise and traffic and vehicles pulling up and so on. We did enjoy the food, the fried calamari was excellent & the dinner portion are generous. It was an older crowd so your apperance may attract a lot of attention, but thats anywhere you go. Lastly the service, in the beginning itbwas nice and being seated was nice big smiles, but thr server was not tentativ, he may have come ny once in our 45minute stay."

"I would have liked to give this restaurant a much higher rating, because we were very impressed with it's location and decor, and initially we were treated well. My issue was mainly with our server, who, after acknowledging we were there for our Anniversary, proceeded to ignore us for the last half of our visit, and take care of many other tables (maybe they were understaffed?). He didn't even remember to bring us a box (we asked twice, then gave up) for our leftover Ceviche, so we just left it there on the table after waiting over 20 minutes to get the check... Just not good service; Anniversary dinner or not..."

"My girlfriends and I had a wonderful visit to the Mission Inn this past Sunday, which included Margaritas and lunch at Las Campanas. The outdoor seating was lovely, with plenty of umbrellas for shade...and there were heaters there, so for those going in the evening or in cooler weather, would be able to still be comfortable. The staff members were friendly, smiling and thoughtful...and the food was delicious. I had the open faced quesadilla from the appitizer menu. It was plenty of food for lunch, in fact, I didn't even finish it...of course, I was enjoying the tasty Cadillac Margarita as well! All of my friends were more than happy with their meals as well, so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices...ENJOY!"

"Of the 3 food items we ordered, the quesadilla was very good except the chicken, which was overcooked. Guacamole was very flavorful, but avocado chucks were hard and unripe. Chile relleno was very tasty, but the chile was not really cooked.
Setting is gorgeous; service is impeccable."

"We ended up eating inside due to the rain. The ambiance was perfect. Quiet, clean, beautiful decor, allowing us to eat and discuss business. I ordered the tortilla soup and steak salad -- both were delicious!"

"Was there for Valentine's Day dinner. I had made arrangements (3 or 4 days prior) for a table in an area with heat lamps. Also, I had purchased a floral arrangement for our table. When we arrived, approx. 10 min. early, the hostess went to check our table and it had just been given to another couple. We were seated in an isolated area of the restaurant, away from the main seating area. It was ok but not where I had requested. Also, the flowers were never delivered. When I met with the concierge 3 days prior to reservation, she assured me that she would stay on top of it to ensure that the flowers would be at table. No flowers. I had to get my money back the following day."

"We met friends from Colorado here for dinner and had a great time. Everyone was so friendly and the food was excellent! It was a super relaxed atmosphere, we never felt rushed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and plan to eat here next time we are in the area."

"We almost missed out on a great dining experience due to negative reviews, but thank goodness we decided to just check the place out for ourselves. The courtyard is beautifully decorated, staff were wonderful and courteous. The food was good however they could use or benefit from a larger variety of dinner choices. It was really cold outside (February Night) but the heating lamps provided more than enough heat. Overall I rate the place five stars, and would definitely return for another visit."

"Really enjoyed the romantic ambiance of the fire at this outdoor dining restaurant. The food was good, my dchicken fajitas dish didn't have the chicken marinated as much as I would've liked, but still good food. The service was good, just took about 5 mins to take our drink order and extended periods in between other visits to our table by the waiter. But my wife and I were in no hurry so that didn't really matter to us. The place was clean, beautifully landscaped and just an overall nice experience different from most other restaurants. Oh yes, plenty of heat too on this chilly night with all of the outdoor heaters and fires."
