"We had a table for four, and everyone tried a different entrée. We had fish, chicken and pasta, and each was spot-on. The menu offers a wide range of choices and it is good to see that the kitchen is able to cook everything well.
The service again was excellent, with proper pacing.

"Surprisingly, my friend and I were the sole diners in this waterfront Italian gem nestled on the Delaware River just north of Penn's Landing. The staff was friendly, attentive without an overbearing presence. The food was delightful from a delicious pasta fagiole to a light, tasty Dover sole filleted at tableside. My friend's lobster bisque was rich and creamy, her veal with crab excellent."

"We had a large group, and the service was outstanding. The food is always good, and they cater to all tastes (meats, fish, pasta etc.) This is a good menu. Our team had a great time and many mentioned they would come back soon. The valet parking was safe and easy and makes this a must do while in Philly."

"The location is nice right on the water. Valet parking as it is located on the very busy Columbus Blvd but valet parking is fairly reasonable. Great Moscato. The dish I had was good (red snapper w/tomato, onion & black olives) although I like big flavor and it didn't really have that. Went fairly early so it wasn't crowded. Service was good. Would definitely go back again."

"We have been here numerous times, and have never been disappointed. Saturday we each had a chicken dish and both were excellent - abruzzi and parmesan. Even the bruschetta here is consistently good. The bar here is right inside the entry, and Gene handles the area smoothly, and makes it a nice pre-dinner stop.

"Went for boyfriend bday. Very special & beautiful restaurant. Ordered pasta that was delicious!! Restaurant was pretty empty on Sunday night so we took our time and dinner was 2.5 hours long. Servers were super nice & view was lively! Definitely recommend it!"

"We were welcomed warmly by the owner, and the experience just got better. Cocktails at the bar were excellent, and moving on to the dining room we got a table with an excellent view. After perusing the menu,and not knowing what we wanted, our waiter asked us to trust him, and brought us an appetizer that was out of this world. Moving on to dinner, both of our meals were fantastic. The food was out of this world, and the service was phenominal. The dining room looks out on the river, and view is fantastic. We had an extraordinary evening."

"I enjoyed it very much... it was a very slow Thursday night so the staff was very attentive since there were just a few tables seated... but not overly attentive where it gets annoying.
It was the first time in a very long time where I had veal and it was cooked PERFECT! It is so often rubber like that I rarely order it out anymore, but it was really just perfectly cooked. I am very much looking forward to going back when the doors are open and you can hear the river. I can only imagine it being the perfect place for New Years Eve, the view of the BFB is great. $10 bucks for Valet... I spent $26 last week in Center City... NOT Valet and my entree where I ate was less then the parking. Can not beat $10 bucks for Valet... worth every penny.."

"Have always loved LaVeranda. Saturday night I was disapponted. I asked if I could have pasta instead of green beans and potatoes and I was told that I would have to pay extra. Are you kidding me, pasta is about $1.50 a box I only wanted a little. String beans and potatoes are also cheap. Every where else will substitute, that bothered me. I hope they accomadate a little better in the future."
