Alias Restaurant sits on the bustling corner of Clinton & Rivington in the heart of the Lower East Side. Don't be fooled though by its low-key façade. Inside is a neighborhood gem with some serious cooking going on! On any given lunch, brunch or dinner, you'll see locals of all ages talking to each other and enjoying the casual, friendly atmosphere – not surprising – the owners are always there and they know everyone, they've run restaurants on Clinton Street for more than a decade, including the iconic 71 Clinton Fresh Foods. Their passion for food shows and they are out to prove that 'Great food doesn't have to be expensive'. Try the seasonal, market–inspired menu to see what they mean! True to its philosophy of having something for everyone, Alias also offer staples like burgers, Tacos and Nachos, but don't be surprised if they add a little twist! With an inspired wine, beer and cocktail list, Alias is the kind of restaurant that every neighborhood dreams of.
"everything else was ehh. the brisket was mediocre, the cod (special of the day) wasn't too fresh and a bit bland, the veggie burger was TONS of black beans so if you're into black beans go for it. service was great, place was nice and clean, would def go back for drinks and apps, but skip the mains"

"Nice friendly staff, a little too keen on pushing drink orders but I guess that's the norm. The food was imaginative and very tasteful but the chicken main course was, although delicious in and of it itself, other than a bed of spinach? (I didn't order it my friend did), a little lonely on the plate. I had the beef brisket which came with mashed potatoes and garlic kale and it was just perfect. Wine prices were a little steep and the desert portion size was positively stingy for the price. It was an enjoyable evening but I'm not sure I'd go back again as I felt it was a little overpriced, even for an upscale neighborhood joint."

"Went for drinks and a late evening nosh, after seeing some music at Mercury Lounge. We settled in at the bar and were expertly cared for by the bartender, who kept us liquid and entertained with neighborhood gossip. A great spot that we all agreed we would revisit soon."

"Chose this restaurant for my birthday based on my Zipcard and its online reviews. The service was good, the drinks were great, and the food was excellent. Will happily go back."

"The ribs were outstanding, and so were the other dishes we had. This is definitely a place to keep returning for good eats. The prices were moderate also—value for your money."
