When you visit ANNA'S, you'll experience the authentic home cooking that Chef Noy and owner Anna Makmok (mother and daughter!) have enjoyed all their lives. Their inventive, expansive and affordable menu features the cuisines of Thailand, Japan, Korea, India, Laos and beyond. Start with something crispy - like Japanese stuffed avocodo or tempura, Thai chicken wings or Indian samosa. Perhaps a Japanese pork kabob or Peking duck bun is more to your liking. Saigon and Bangkok rolls, miso, Tom Yum or Mama Ginger soup plus a salad will round out your first course. For a main dish, try Mongolian steak or chicken, ginger scallops, or Laotian curry noodles. ANNA'S original sushi items are much in demand and include Chef's Signature dishes and nearly 30 varieties of makimono! Or you can choose by the piece and design your own dinner from the sushi bar. ANNA'S boasts three beautiful dining areas - the Mirror Room, the Circle Room and the more intimate Fireside Room. See you at ANNA'S!
"My wife and i were here on a friday night and we truly loved this restuarant. My wife is a lover of sushi which I don't like and I am a lover of thai food which she hates. Annas was the best of both worlds for us, The stuffed avacado is the best and a must try!!! I had the pad thai which I loved and my wife had the godzilla sushi roll which she was excited about....and also the byob is an awesome touch with no corking fee..."

"I enjoyed the stuff chicken wings and the death by chocolate dessert very much. My guest all raved about their food selections, too. I will definitely return."

"Seven of us came for a birthday party. The food is pretty good. The restaurant might do better to specialize in maybe 2 cuisines. The Pan Asian menu is not serving them well. We tried a red curry, sushi, vegetable stir-fry, an eggplant dish, and Anna's special. Also, vegetarian egg rolls (good), quite odd samosas, and vegetable dumplings. The dumplings were the best. We also had dessert-mango with rice, lychee ice cream, a chocolate dessert (large), and Thai custard. All were good, although the lychee ice cream and Thai custard were tiny. The BYOB was a big help. Very good service and ambiance. We left pretty well satisfied and happy. Prices are reasonable. I might go back."

"Sushi was very fresh and good. In addition we had eggrolls, Mongolian Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki (sp) and these 3 warm dishes were very, very good. Prices were more than reasonable. Also, with Anna's being BYOB it was a very econimical meal. We will be back!"

"I almost think we shouldn't rave about Anna's so it doesn't get crowded out of control, but it's too good not to share. Anna and David have created a masterful menu and backed it up with a head-spinning variety of flavors and choices so that you could go back every week and not get bored. They are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed talking about the food, Thailand and their backgrounds as well as enjoying the meal immensely. We treated it as kind of an Asian tapas experience and that was great - can't wait to go back and try some of the entrees as well. The BYOB thing is nice, and the fact that they don't hit you with a "corkage" charge is considerate. We have found a new place for our regular dining list, can't wait to go back."

"We love Anna's Asian. The owners Anna and David couldn't be more accommodating. It's BYOB which is always appreciated. The sushi is top quality and very fresh. We love the avocado tuna appetizer. Great place."

"We hit Anne's on Sunday before a show and although there was no one in the restaurant (about noon), we had a great time. Anyway, our meals were good and I especially liked the lettuce wraps. The coconut shrimp was just that -- shrimpy on the shrimp, and tons of coconut. Tip: would have liked less c and more shrimp. The sauces on all of our dishes were very good. I think if Lyric Opera ever puts out a restaurants near the opera they should mention Anne's -- it took us all of two minutes to get to the Opera and there are a LOT of west loop restaurants that are just fine for the Opera crowd.
Budget conscious people can go to Anne's and get a few items and still be under $20/person. I just read it's BYOB; we'll try that next time."

"Our waitress was so sweet. When I told her I liked the Tom Yum and Tom Kah soup, she made a special blend of the two and it was fantastic! And SO accommodating. We had the house salad as well, which was big enough for two people to share, the egg rolls were great and the pink roll was also great! The rising sun was my favorite. The interior could use an update, but other than that we had a great experience."

"Great Asian cuisine! Anna's mom is in the kitchen cooking everything from scratch and to order. I've been going for over a year and there's nothing on the menu I haven't liked. My favorites: stuffed avacado, the duck, Malaysian curry rice, roti canai, drunken noodles and the green curry."

"I was really looking forward to this restaurant after the 4.5 star rating given on the site. Bottom line: we were really dissapointed. First of all, please note that this is a BYOB restaurant, so if you feel like having a nice dinner with drinks, better bring your own. We also went because we wanted to eat sushi. I think for the quality of sushi served here (low quality), it should be better listed as Thai-Vietanemese restaurant. I'm not sure about the other dishes in the menu, but I ordered the most appealing (and expensive) roll in the menu and it came with a"giant tower" of tempura in each of the pieces; you could barely taste the fish, and it made it an unnecessarily unhealthy dish. This is the best they can do? We won't come back."

"Everything that our party of five ordered was really great! I did not give it five stars only because I felt that the wait staff could have been more friendly. There were two times where I felt she was a little annoyed. We were a well-behaved crowd so I do not know what that was about."

"Friendly service and good BYOB experience, but food didn't taste as fresh as I'd like. It felt kind of rustic and romantic in an authentic / under the tracks kind of way... Cool little restaurant over-all, but not a favorite."

"The food was deliciously complex and flavorful choices. Less than high-end decor, but some renovations/changes are in process. Comfortable and pleasant, with attentive service."

"This was our first time to Anna's, and what a wonderful surprise. The food is unbelievable! There is an avocado/tuna appetizer that is delicious. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were very flavorful, as was the dipping sauce that accompanied it. We ordered several types of sushi, and not only were they delicious, but the presentation was outstanding as well. One of our guests did not eat sushi, so she ordered a shrimp and veggie stir fry, we all sampled it, and it was wonderful, too! Our server was very attentive and helpful. All in all it was a great evening! We can't wait to go back."
