"Although we were disappointed to learn that the burrata was no longer on the menu, we enjoyed all the spicy dishes we ordered. Some highlights: The octopus was extremely tender and served with a tasty spicy fennel, and the meaty ribs fell right off the bone. Our waiter, Lance, was super-friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back."

"Not sure if I am a big fan of the 'tapas' style. Some of the plates were ridiculously small...the beef skewers were pathetic. The pizza was very good. The environment is too tight...to many tables....the bar should have been smaller and put in the corner in the back left near the kitchen door so that tables can be spread out a little more. You can't be big to work there because you have to turn your body sideways to get around the tables....so kudos to the wait staff."

"On this,our fourth visit,we were disappointed that the menu had fewer small plate selections.We particularly missed the potatas bravas.But we did enjoy what we had:grilled asparagus, with a chili and saffron crema was tender/crisp;the sauce with just a bit of a kick - we got 2 orders,as we did with the hand-cut fries,which have nice texture with just enough grana padano to flavor but not overwhelm.The 2 meat eaters in our party shared the mussels,petite lamb chops,and beef skewers.The meats were tender and tasty,but both found the mussels just ordinary,overwhelmed by their topping of potato and arugula salad.We shared 4 cheeses - the accompaniments are not to be missed, especially the marcona almonds and truffled honeycomb. We will be back!"

"The service was outstanding. The host was personable and very efficient. We had reservations for 7:45 and were seated promptly at that time. Our waiter was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and offering suggestions. The food was brought out in a timely manner for the most part. The food was unique and tasty. "My boyfriend and I went to Isabella's on Valentine's day. We had NEVER been there before but were interested because of the well-advertised 10-course tasting menu that was a special for Valentine's weekend. We were very pleasantly satisfied by the quality of the food and the service. On such a busy night, all details were attended to nicely! I would go back again and again. "Was here for Valentines Day and they had a 10 course tasting menu so we got to try a bunch of different things. Most of the dishes were very good. Our server Michael was great and was a lot of fun. My date was a vegetarian and he was nice enough to bring a some extra of the veggie dishes. The wine list is limited but we got a very good bottle of Spanish wine for a reasonable price. Usually I find these Valentines Day specials to be a rip off but this was actually very good. The decor is cool and somewhat minimalistic. We sat at one of the high tops and if you sit in the dining area you could be seated very close to the adjoining table - I prefer to have some space. Overall, we really enjoyed the meal and I will definitely be back."

"My most recent visit to Isabella was for Valentine's Day, they offered part of their regular menu as well as a 10-course tasting menu. I had initially planned on trying the special menu however we heard several complaints about the size and taste from surrounding tables and decided to go for the a la carte option. We had 2 pizzas, mussels, dries, and the charcuterie plate and everything was unbelievable. I was very disappointed with the service; however, on a previous visit we had one of the best waiters ever. We also got the feeling that they were "bullying" customers into the tasting menu."

My only real concern was with the host who was rude. When we arrived, he was scolding a waitress in front of us (asking her to start separating the menus and then just said he would do it himself). Then he seemed burdened that we had arrived and he had to find us a table. We said we didn't mind waiting at the bar until a table was available and he just responded, "If you can find a spot". He just wasn't welcoming and it was our first time so I was expecting a different experience. We would recommend the food and our server but I'm not sure if we'll go again."

"This was our first visit, and we'll definately be back. We arrived a few minutes early for our party of 4 reservation. The host apologized that our table was not already available. To our surprise he said that if the table wasn't ready within 5 minutes, we should relax at seats the bartender was saving for us at the bar - and the first round was on him. Very nice gesture on his part, and something many restaurants don't do when they make their guests wait an hour past their reservation time. We were seated at our table within 15 minutes of our reservation time, and enjoyed the complementary drinks along with an excellent meal.
We shared an array of dishes. Everything was excellent! We'll have to try more menu items on our next visit."

"We both work in the Conshohocken area so Isabella and The StoneRose are two good competing options for a less formal meal in the area, esp when waiting for the traffic to subside on 76 and 422. The small plates options are all tasty, except we found the mushroom risotto overpowered by the pepper. The lamb chops are always good and worthy of buying up to a fourth for a party of two! We tried the beet terrine for the first time and that was good. We arrived before the crowds (bar was hopping) so the dining room was uncomfortably cold, esp since there is no vestibule so when the door opens you get a blast of cold air. Nice choices of cocktails (but they should publish a list) and good wines by the glass. Service was friendly and accommodating."

"The menu includes a diverse offering of tapas, about 5 selections for each food category, as well as pizzas and small "entree" section. We only ordered from the tapas menu (5 plates for 2 people) and while each was delicious, the amount of food for non-pasta/veggie on each plate was very small, particularly considering the price. The scallops were 2 small scallops...not much for even one person. The food was delicious, but we ended up splitting a pizza at the next place we went to for drinks, because we were still hungry."
