"I meet a business associate for lunch on a Saturday and it was really nice and quiet. I'm sure during the week the noise level is much different. The food was delicious!! I will definitely recommend this restaurant!"

"Made an OpenTable reservation for 10 on a pretty busy night. After waiting a few minutes for our table, we were seated and asked about drink preferences. Drinks were brought promptly. The server was attentive and friendly. Food for most was good, although one person had the lobster ravioli and thought it was dry; she didn't tell this to the wait staff, so they were not able to address it. I have a pet peeve about waiters knowing who ordered what food instead of showing up to the table with food saying, "who ordered the pasta". For the most part our waiter passed the test; he stumbled a bit, but we were 10 so it wasn't that easy. Overall, it was a good experience; we got our food quickly and were able to get in and out in under 90 minutes."

"Have the grilled salmon! Have the salmon salad on the specials menu! And did I mention? Have the salmon! It goes without saying that the pasta is expectantly great. But wander into the lamb and the rib eye- you'll be pleased......very pleased. Get to know your waiter as he can help you get a little inventive. You'll have fun doing it. And Share."

"Had not been here in a while and we were pleasantly surprised. Hernando was a great server. They had run out of the jumbo scallops special, but the seafood risotto was divine, and the Caesar salad one of the better ones we've had. Noise level not terrible, but on Saturday night they were only about half full, so cannot say that it would be so pleasant with a full house."

"We stopped for dinner prior to flying out of John Wayne Airport. The service was very good and the appetizers were also good. The entrees were another matter. One of us ordered the scallop special - the scallops were fresh and cooked correctly but were smothered in sauce. That was surprising and not very Italian. The Ahi was submerged in sauce, which ruined the flavor, texture and experience. We did not have time to return the entrees but will not return again."

"I was looking for a place to take my mom and aunt for a mother's day dinner, and they recommended Prego Ristorante because they have heard great things about the place. I was skeptical about it, but got to find out all the praises where right. They provided us with the best that night! To start off the appetizers were great, calamari and a set of bread. The dish I ordered was Filetto Toscano, the dish was just heavenly! The dishes my family ordered were Pollo Alla Diavola and I think Chicken Marsala. They really enjoyed their dishes as well. The desserts are homemade and that just makes the biggest difference! We tried the Tres Leches cake, Tiramisu, and Raspberry Tart. Great food, service, and delightful ambiance, what more can you ask for"

"How special and perfectly delicious everything was.
The chef came to the table to help is feel more comfortable that our special dietary needs would be met. Three vegetarians, two lacto-oval and one who doesn't eat dairy.
This was our third visit. So I had my expectations, but I really was truly blown away.
Definitely one of the best
Dinner's I've ever had.

"The toughest decision is what to order! Love the Ruth Salad, the lasagna, grilled salmon and all of the pasta dishes. This time I tried a special - linguine with prawns. The prawns were HUGE! It tasted like linguine with LOBSTER! i could not finish the dish and the leftovers were just as decadent. Highly recommend this restaurant!"

"The restaurant was lovely and the service great. The restaurant should be embarrassed for serving the Caesar salad. They brought out a huge white plate and then a very small portion of lettuce that barely had any green leafs in it but almost all of it was the clear chunks of lettuce with hardly any dressing and no croutons. It looked terrible and tasted bland and was significantly over priced. Our party ordered several different dishes. The Gnocci was ok. The sauce was minimal and bland but the Gnocci was prepared correctly. All the other dishes were alright but again for the price you would get a tastier meal at Olive Garden and save yourself some money."

"Our server was terrible. Our reservations were at 12:45 so his section was no longer busy, but it still took forever for him to take our order. Once we got our food, he never came back to check on us. We had to ask other servers to get us more water. When we were done with our entrees, we asked for a cappuccino and the desert menu. After a long wait, he came back with the check instead, and then asked us if we wanted coffee or dessert! Clearly, he forgot about us again. It'd be more understanding if he had a busy section, but there were no parties on either side of us, no large parties, and it was already 1:30 by the time we were eating -- he should've been more attentive."

"I'm sorry Prego. I want so bad for your food to be good since the fire but it just isn't. Had dinner there Sat night and the pasta was so overcooked it was not eatable. "My fiance and I were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our anniversary and were both really craving authentic Italian food. We had never been to Prego before but found them by searching on Opentable. The food was AMAZING! We started with the bruschetta and a caesar salad, both of which were amazing. My fiance chose the Spaghetti al Mare and while he said that the seafood was all cooked perfectly, the sauce was a little lacking for him. I was stuck between two entree choices but decided to go with our waitress's suggestion, the gnocchi, which was honestly out of this world! The food at Prego is wonderful. Fresh, simple, and delicious. We both believe that its the best we've had since our trip to Italy last summer!"

"We sat on the patio and enjoyed our lunch. I had the fresh salmon with assorted vegetables, and it was divine. Everyone in our party loved their meal. The eggplant was a big hit; the Ruth salad was so tasty, as was one of the special pastas of the day. A yummy treat is the bread basket served with warm marinara sauce. Service was excellent. I will definitely be returning soon!"

"I must say that Preggo has always been consistently good and the food thus far has never disappointed. This is a great spot for lunch meetings and quick in –prompt- to happy hours. The only thing I can complain about, it that the happy hour crowd isn’t always the best or professional. With that said, I can easily look over that when I’m enjoying a $5 shrimp cocktail and a $5 wood fired pizza. Keep up the good work Preggo!"

"My wife has some allergies that I have set up in the Open Table comments that are always sent to the restaurant for our reservations. This time, the chef, Victor, met us when we arrived and seated us. After our drinks arrived, he came out and went through the menu with her and then prepared some special sauces for her meal. This was my wife's birthday, and she really appreciated the special attention. All of our party had terrific meals, and it was a really great evening. This was our third visit this year, and Prego has become our "go to" place for special occasions (and the prices are very reasonable!) GREAT restaurant!"

"We went to Prego specifically for the Sunday brunch menu that their website had on line. When we were seated we were given lunch menus. We asked for the brunch menu and was told that the menu was being revised and they did not have a brunch menu. This put a damper on the entire meal. The chef was accomodating in allowing us to order egg dishes but it wasn't the same without everyone having a brunch menu to browse through. They should update their website."

"The pre-drinks were not very good, had a cosmo and was missing something/very bland. Service was slow, had to ask them to turn down the music because we couldn't have a conversation. Had an old gift card they would not honor and it would have been OK if they would have at least considered removing the corkage fee but would not...and we had a $300 dinner....not good customer service in my book!! :(
Will not recommend to our friends or anyone for that matter."

"One of my local favorites ! Great food for the price. Nice setting inside. Desert cart is well worth the visit ! This is a family owned restaurant, and I always have good service. Why eat at Olive Garden, for a little more, you can have a great dinner for two and don' have to put up with someone's kid bouncing all over the place !"

"Dined with 5 women and we were treated rather poorly. Service initially was very slow, we had to waive down the waiter to order beverages. Champagne was ordered, after he poured a few glasses, he set the 1/2 full bottle on the table and left. We had to waive him down again to request an ice bucket. We complained about the service, and after that we began to receive more attentive service. We spent over $400.00, expected to be treated much better at a restaurant that I was told was suppposed to be 'nice'."

"Food is always great here, but today my tagliata (marinated flank steak) salad was a little tough. Even if the restaurants half full here, it's pretty noisy, so don't expect a quiet corner table. It's fun with a group"

"This restaurant is a gem nestled in an unexpected spot at the base of the Irvine Towers. It is warm and inviting, rather than the brassy urban feel I expected before my first visit. There is a bar section/wing that seemed lively and friendly, but I have only had lunch and dinner with coworkers and friends. If you want to impress, and create a new meeting spot, this is it. Prices are in line with, and sometimes lower than, the chain restaurants in the Tustin Legacy District shopping center. Read the menu first because it's generally in Italian, and you can't go wrong with the fish specials that are offered. Our dinner for 4 with a few beers each was around $150. Take your parking stub with you to have it validated at the front entry."

"We wanted to check out Pregos since it reopened last Nov 2012 due to the fire. Nothing changed. It was just as great as ever. The service A-1 and the for fantastic. I had one of the specials, swordfish and my girlfriend who I'd taken there a birthday celebration loved. I had noted on my open table request that it was her birthday and with out saying a word, the servers presented her with a dessert and candle to blow out. She was so blown away ....had not expected anything. So thank you so much Pregos for helping me to make this such a special night for her. She unexpectedly lost her husband this last year to cancer so I wanted to try and make a memorable evening for her. You helped to make it special. We always have loved you guys"
