"My husband and I took our grown kids with us to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It was such a great family experience full of fun, laughter and great food.We chose the four course dinner option and each course was a great treat with a good variety of options both individually and family decisions. The Creme Brulee Fondue was so delicious and the perfect way to end the evening!We splurged, but it was well worth it! We'll be back!"

"I have been to the Melting Pot at least 8 times but this was the first time I went with the girls. We went for Monday's Ladies Night Out. The food was great and the portions were not over whelming. Drink prices were reasonable as we got the Happy Hour prices. Our waiter was good too. Total was about $33 for the meal and 1 alcoholic beverage."

"My SO and I went to the Melting Pot on a dessert date, where we enjoyed their chocolate and dulce dessert fondue. The service was excellent; the waiter was unobtrusive yet stayed on top of things. The high-back booths create a cozy atmosphere appropriate for a couple sharing a romantic evening together, and the noise level was minimal. I'd highly recommend it."

"I was a little hestitant to go to this restaurant based on some of the bad reviews on yelp but we decided to chance it and go anyway. We were looking for a nice special ocassion place where our kids 14 and 10 would also have fun. We weren't disappointed at all. We had a 5:15 reservation and we were seated right on time. We had been to the one in Addison but it had been about 12 years ago. They have a few speicalty drinks for $6.95 and they were great- The service was very good and we didnt have to wait for the different courses. We chose the cheddar cheese and each had 3 meats. My younger son was also able to choose 3 meats on the kids menu. There was more than enough food and the smore's chocolate were awesome!"

"I think it is very overpriced and not worth it. I certainly would not return. It was so dark because half the bulbs were out in the fixture above the table. Could not tell when the food was cooked. Waitress said the bulbs were expensive so hence not replaced. They didn't give a discount because we could not see. There were five of us and we were seated at a strangely shaped table that was not good for conversation and there was an inordinate reach to cook the food in the pots. I have been to another non chain fondue restaurant in another city and it was creative and was a wonderful experience. This was not a good experience and have already begun telling people what a rip off this place is."

"This is probably one of the most romantic atmospheres my wife and I ever enjoyed. The wait staff was very professional and helpful. This is the type of place to take your loved one where the two of you may sit and talk to each other while enjoying the fondue experience. The food is fantastic and they have a delicious Moscato wine that excites the taste buds. We will be back to Northwest Austin again and again!"

"Everything was great. We went to he Melting Pot to celebrate our daughter's 14th birthday and we were treated like royalty the entire visit.
Tricia was wonderful. She took the time to explain the menu and process since we were first-timers.
Then to top off he afternoon, he manager came to our table with 'champagne' to toast the birthday girl.
I can't believe it has taken us this long to visit this extraordinary restaurant, but we will definitely return."

"Have eaten at the Melting Pot many times, and last night was the second time that the burner didn't effectively heat the pot....Our waiter was brilliant, but all he could do was agree and summon the Manager. When the Manager arrived, he disagreed there was an issue.... ultimately he comped the cheese, but what he should have done was agree with us and indeed the waiter that the burner was ineffective - instead he just wanted to treat us like newcomers at the fondue game. He offered to boil the potatoes in the kitchen, which he did - but they still took eons to cook.
We've eaten at melting pot enough to know when the water isn't boiling - luckily for us we only had vegetables.We have high expectations of Melting Pot, not matched this time"

"The smell inside the restaurant was not nice at all. Just when you open the door of the restaurant, this very penetrant smell like old soup really hits your nose and for moments is almost unbearable. It is necessary to find a way to better ventilate the place.
Other point: we were only two people and the service was invoiced at the rate of 18%. I think that is abusive.
And last, the decoration of the restaurant seems to be of a highway whatever restaurant, nothing special, to the contrary, there is room to improvement. Poor lights."

Don't expect anything close to the european definition of cheese fondue: cheese comes pre-shredded (looks like it came out of an HEB shredded-cheese bag). And I ideologically disagree with putting garlic in a cheese fondue.
However, I would go back for the chocolate fondue (2-3 different kinds, anything I have tried is delicious!)"

"This is the 4th time we have celebrated our anniversary with The Meltin Pot. We love coming here. It is a very relaxing time for us, good food. "It was my first time at the Melting Pot and out waiter, Davon, made the experience outstanding! He was very kind and treated us with the utmost respect. The food was really good too, but I'd say this is more of a place to dine if you want to have a good night out rather than good food. It was all about the atmosphere. And the dessert! "A meal here is an event - four courses took three and a half hours. The food is good, the staff is friendly and did a nice job. We had to ask for more "dippers" more than once - and sat and sat and sat while we waited. Overall, a fun experience.
Next time I might suggest to the family that we just go there for the chocolate fondue desserts."

"My wife and I were there celebrating a belated anniversary. We also happened to be using a GroupOn offer. We were very pleased to see that the restaurant was well prepared for diners who were using this particular offer. The wait staff did an excellent job and the food was wonderful. We're also glad to know that additional dippers are offered with dessert, if needed. The idea of leaving any chocolate in the pot was not something we were looking forward to."

"The entire experience took a REALLY long time. We didn't get water for a good 15 minutes and didn't meet our waiter until 20. I knew we were already off to a bad start, but was ready to see what the melting pot was all about. The food was good and it was fun to play with it, but I would never go back to this location if the service is always as slow as it was. Our dinner (without drinks) took OVER TWO HOURS! I often spend 2 hours at a dinner, but this was an experience that had us waiting at least 15 minutes between every course. To top it off, an 18% gratuity was automatically charged for 2 people...too bad they didn't know we usually tip at least 20."

"the melting pot is my number 1 choice for dinner. if I had it my way. since I can't always go, when I do I enjoy it even more. they always have wonderful tasting drinks. they are willing to make you happy, by helping you customize your meal. even though it may not look like a lot of food, by the end of dinner you are ready to be rolled out."

"The waiter, Davo, was very aggressive in trying to upsell and did not answer our questions in a straight forward manner. We had a party of five and were charged gratuity. In the end, he lost out because we would have tipped more. We found the experience to be pushy and "salesmanish" instead of providing service to us. The trainee, Heather, was very pleasant and relaxed. I hope she keeps that attitude and doesn't learn from her trainer.
The atmosphere and food was good, but the company is what really saved the night."

"My husband called in the day before to inquire about a certain brand of champagne and even though they didn't find that brand, they did thoroughly look for it later and found two bottles which they sat aside and iced for us the next day when we came in! It's service like that that keeps us coming back!!"
