"We ate here for our 12th anniv as a last-minute thing and very glad we did. Our waiter - very friendly, gave good tips on what to eat. MLH is within walking distance to several things - park, river, stadiums. Thanks for a wonderful experience overall and we'll definitely be back!!!"

"The beer selection and pretzel app is great, the salad selection is average and beware of the blackened chicken salad. The Moerlein house serves this salad with a lot of blackening seasoning sprinkeled as a garnish all over the salad, not a good food option."

"Everything was fine but the noise level was extreme. I could not hear the person next to me so eenjoying a group experience was impossible. The music was not too loud, just a very full restaurant. If there is any way to add noise dampeners in some way, that would be great. Otherwise, I am not sure I want to come back."

"We had 11:30 reservations on Mother's Day. Our experience was fantastic! Our kids live in Indy and this was their first time going so I asked for a table upstairs by the window and that's where we were seated...great table with a beautiful view! Our server, Bennett, was the best! We were not rushed and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! We were pleased with the appetizers, drinks and meals and can't wait to return.

"This is not my first time a Moerlein, the food and beer is very good. It is not typical bar food. The restaurant would be great without the beer because the food is so good. They have more beer than just theirs to choose from."

"My husband and I ate here for a change before a show at the Aronoff. It is a short walk from Fountain Square on a warm spring day, and we really enjoyed the area. I enjoyed the filet, which was served with cheddar mashed potatoes and green beans, and my husband also liked his prime rib. While eating, we watched the boats on the river and kids playing in the park. A really relaxing evening!"

"The service was great, our server was very friendly and quick. To start off they didn't have an updated draft list, and the server wasn't sure what was on draft of their own beers. We ordered the pretzels as a appetizer, they were cold in the middle and we got a small amount of the so called beer cheese which was just nacho cheese. My wife ordered the cheeseburger which was bland and obviously a frozen patty. I got the cuban which had a very soggy bad excuse for pulled pork. Along with the cuban came sweet potato fries, which I looked forward to trying but they were like eating cardboard. I would not recommend but who knows maybe it was just a bad night to go."

"We stopped by after the Reds game and had a reservation. The bar and patio were very loud and slam packed. I guess that's to be expected on a game day. Our seating was second floor (thankfully) and was much quieter. The food was fantastic as was the view of the Ohio river. Two of the bottled beers we were interested in trying were no longer available despite being on the beer menu. The only complaint, and it was a big one, was that our waitress completely forgot us after the food was brought out. We actually had to summon the hostess to flag her down and later another waiter was used as well. The restaurant itself was about half full. Overall, a good experience that would've been great had the service been even slightly better."

"This is my eighth trip to Moerlein. Their food and beer remain excellent. Their service has found new lows. When we arrived, we were seated at an outdoor table with several other tables of guests. A half hour later, one table complained to a manager that no waitstaff had arrived. Ten minutes later, a waitress arrived and told all the tables that their shift had just begun. Ten minutes after that the orders were taken. Twenty minutes later (yes, an hour after seating) the first round of beer arrived. Food came quickly and was excellent. We ordered a second round of beer and heard that three out of the four drinks ordered by the group at our table were no longer available. Forty-five minutes after we ordered them. We left very frustrated."

We had an infant with us and they set us up in an area that had plenty of room for the high chair. The food is a little pricey, but very delicious and completely worth it. Live band was playing outside and the noise level was perfect inside the restaurant."

"The Moerlein Lagar House is a great place to eat and drink. It is a well run resturant that makes incredible food and wonderful beer. The beer sets it apart from other good places. The service has always been good as well. Parking is very close and inside so do not let the rain so you down."

"The food was very good & flavorful. Not really what you'd expect from a 'lager house.' I was pleasantly surprised! My only complaint is that it is really noisy in the restaurant, due to the open floor plan and concrete floors. So if you want to have a nice conversation with others, this might not be your #1 choice."

"View was lovely, beer selection was unbelievable & service was exceptional! We really enjoyed the Soft Pretzels with Beer Cheese & Three Meat flatbread. Also ordered a Cheeseburger w/ fries & Chocolate Stout Cheesecake. Cheeseburger & cheesecake were good, but standard restaurant fare. Fries were covered with some type of garlic pesto. Probably would have been good had I been expecting it, but not mentioned on the menu. A table nearby ordered the Pork Shank, Hops Smoked Pork Belly with Apple Almond Bread Pudding & Caramel Streusel Cake for dessert. It all looked great!"

"We were a party of 6,celebrating a 68th birthday. Ages 31-68...3 women,3men.All love seafood. Mussels,(though they were a tad too hot)were delicious. Calamari prepared to perfection,(wish the sauce had been on the side. Not necessary because calamari itself was wonderful. All ordered different things.I enjoyed the puff pastry stuffed w/butternut squash & mushrooms. Delish! The other dishes enjoyed were: hamburgers, salmon, smothered chicken, steak frites,&talapia. Salads were plentiful& very fresh.
Our only complaint was that our waitress took forever to reach us. Did not come around for drinks or for 2nds in any timely manner. Never cked to see if we needed anything. Terrible service from her.Reception upon arrival was GREAT!EFFICIENT"

"The food at the Moerlein House was very good. We started with the fried dill pickles. They were really good. The Spicy Corn Chowder was also good and the temperature was perfect--sometimes when the soup is too cold, it is terrible. I had a flatbread that was very good and my wife had the pork shank which she enjoyed. The beer was fantastic too. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. It was very loud in the restaurant, but it was a Saturday evening."

"We walked in and were told there would be an hour and a half wait for two people. 25 minutes later, while we were finishing our appetizer at the bar, our buzzer went off to let us know that our table was ready. I have to wonder if they quote their wait times in such a way to scare people off.
The service was terrible. Just absolutely awful. When we moved to the biergarten, our waitress had a bad attitude and never once actually asked me if I wanted anything to drink. A special request was greeted with a scowl. I felt completely unwelcome.
The view of the suspension bridge was nice and the food and beer were pretty good. So... there's that."

"This restaurant was so very unaccommodating in welcoming our party of 8. We called 1 1/2 weeks prior to try and make a reservation to be told that "there are no reservations available for that night." Ok-so we proceeded to make 2 reservations for 4 people each on OpenTable and called to see if they can then accommodate us at 1 table. The answer was no but that would try to place us near one another. We checked in 1 1/2 hours early and asked again. We were sat at tables that were "within talking distance" of each other and they were. When we asked if we could push tables together we were told they do not allow this. Meanwhile tables all over the restaurant are being pushed together just not our tables by the window. Lesson learned."
