At Isa we do take some reservations but most of our tables are kept for walk ins. We look forward to seeing you! If you would like to book a private event or a larger party of 14 people or more (up to 100) please contact Isa directly. Please join us!
"I've been to Isa before and everything we ordered was amazing from the food to the service. That was not the case this last time. Non of the meats that were ordered were very good (neither the stake or the pork). The pizza was the best option. Our server was very nice but she lost 2 of our umbrellas (they weren't the 5 dollar kind) which didn't help with our experience. I would give this place one more chance since the first time I went I had such a good experience."

"We took our kids for brunch and it was a nice experience. The menu Was fun with varied choices. The only setback were the delicious ricotta Pancakes, were not enough. However, service was great . It is a fun Restaurant and I actually really enjoyed the open kitchen design. It makes For a warm inviting and inclusive dining experience. Lastly and also As important were great cocktails. I look forward to having dinner there."

"Cute spot but food on the menu is nothing great just like their shoddy menus printed via an ink jet printer. You would think with the effort the artist put into the menu design the same effort would be put in conveying it, or maybe thats the irony? Best bet is to order the specials of the day which were fantastic. Hipster vibe seethes through the neighborhood so just accept with a grain of salt this place is THE hipster hang. Not my cup of tea but there is something to be said about the effort taken to have a quaint log cabin in the middle of Brooklyn."

"My two sons, my wife and I had an excellent time at Isa — super food, attentive wait staff and a vibrant atmosphere. It's a bit out of the way (and a long way from home for one of my sons and my wife and me who live in Toronto.) I recommend the chicken dish and the specials . . . and the super panna cotta for dessert."

"This was one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants and haven't been there for awhile. SO DISAPPOINTED! Food came out before cocktails. Cocktails were watery. No bread offered but it is yummy and when we asked about it were sent home with some. Salad was overdressed and the portions of fried artichoke were teeny in it. Overpriced for mostly greens! Good steak and fingerlings. We love the grilled food, especially the fava beans and the nice atmosphere but probably won't be back, sadly."

"I have been to this restaurant times in the hopes the food would get better. It hasnt. Most of the food has been bland. Although my chicken entree was pretty good the last time I had it. The service staff are very nice but seem to be overwhelmed. It took a very long time to order drinks and food. I think they need to hire more people or rethink their system. The ambiance is exceptional and I hear brunch is great. So I will give them one last try and maybe change my review after that."

"Fabulous bar tender, took my boyfriend and his mom to go hipster sighting here for an early Sat. dinner. The bar tender didn't blink when I asked him for a bloody mary at 6:00PM and joked with me and my BF's mom. The agnolotti pasta was hearty and just what I was in the mood for. Early dinner is laid-back, the crowds descend starting 7:30. I would go back for the chocolate mousse alone."

"Isa has a rotating seasonal menu in a hip and welcoming rustically decorated restaurant (since my reservation Isa has won the James Beard award for restaurant design. Awesome!), I had the fish of the day which were scallops cooked with subtle perfection, juicy center with a barely there crispness on the outside. The chocolate mousse is out of this world amazing (haven't had better since eating the famous dessert at ChezJanou in Paris in 2010). Be sure to make reservations as they get crazy busy during prime time hours."

"place is cute, the food was good but not excellent - steak was particularly chewy, which surprised us as we had been told it would be exceptional. Nice drinks."

"They have 2 areas. One is around the bar and the other is pretty much in the kitchen. Their menu is special with unexpected combinations. Great flavours and local produce. Cocktails are outstanding. Service is professinal and quick. It was my 3rd time here and I always love it as well as any guests I bring along."

"The food was average, the service was alright, the hostess acted like she was our best friend from high school, but the noise was terrible! We sat by kitchen in between two coupes who just talked nonsense at the top if their lungs! The heating and air vent went on and off the whole time while the big windows were open. Even though it was lively and local there was nothing special, it's a shame the potential was there but there was something just not right."

"The I liked the music and the location. But I guess that was everything.
The pizza was burned, the steak was like a shoe sole and we couldnt' even see the food really good, as it was so dark. The waitress let us almost an hour wait for our table without saying sorry and the waiter felt like upset when we asked for a coke. they don't have any softdrinks which is actually okay. but we felt after our question unconfortable.
Unfortunately the cashier always gave us new invoice after someone paid, which made paying the invoice really complicated for a group of 7. Also the employees didn't ask if we liked the food or not.
Saw the recommendation at Gwenyth Paltrow's blog but I am very disappointed."

The only bad point is the food is TOO SALTY. You can see the quantity of salt they put (kitchen is open on the dining room) and it is crazy to put that much ! I had to wake up a few times during the night to drink water. Next time I will definitely ask for no salt in my food."

"Great overall vibe. Looks and feels like a cabin in the woods. Beautiful wood details. Food was very good but nothing particularly different. Good home cooking and very health conscious. I like that a lot. A bit expensive on some of the dishes but overall good price range. Pizzas are excellent!"

"Disappointed by the food. The Kale Caesar Salad was incredibly salty. Brussel sprout side dish was not memorable (and I'm a big fan of brussel sprouts). I had a striped bass entree which was cooked well, however was more or less bland in terms of seasoning. My friend had a pasta dish which seemed fine, but nothing special. At this price level, the quality really should have been higher than this.
To top it off, we had a server who was pushy, didn't seem at all aware of when we were in the middle of conversations, and would repeatedly take our wine glasses away before we were finished. I've been here before and had much more sensitive service, but this particular server was not good."

"We started out with a great drink at the bar - tried a new cocktail that the bartender had just created that day, and it was tasty. Once our party of 5 was seated we began with Kale Caesar, meatballs and a great duck appetizer. Main dishes were chicken, cavatelli, and the pork stew - all outstanding. Great service. Will be back."

"Our appetizers were fantastic: mussels and a charred kale caesar . Our entrees were good, but nothing special. I had the skirt steak with arugula and polenta. The steak was cooked medium, I'd asked for medium rare; there was a sprinkling of salt flakes that was just too much. The entire plate lacked acid and made me wonder what happened to the promised balsamic. I could have made this dish better at home. Over all Isa is fun, service is friendly, ambience is excellent. They just need to figure out the important details in their entrees."

"This visit was my second in a year, and it was also my last. It began by asking for sparkling water, which I never got. When it was time to order, we asked about the soup of the day, and other specials. The thing is, we had to ask. That is minor but then when the entrees came, they were luke warm at best. I didn't realize my other friends' dinners were also on the cold side or I would have spoken up right then and there. and portion size? Did I mention we each could have ordered TWO dinners and maybe we would have been full? For dessert, we ordered a cheese plate. Again, small portions. And that wine list. While I commend the restaurant for including organic wines and biodynamic wines, I wish they were good!"
