"Perhaps it was because of brunch rush but our server was inattentive and left us waiting to put our order in for almost 30 minutes... not cool- also forgot the requested share plates when the food (delicious salmon omelette and cinnamon butter pancakes) finally arrived."

"Our party of four were seated in the back garden area (as requested) and were looking forward to a nice Saturday outdoor brunch. The restaurant was busy, but not insanely packed. The chief complaint is about the service. It was just so bad...we don't know if they were under-staffed that day or what the issue was, but we waited almost an hour for our food and we had to flag down the waiter/waitress a number of times to ask for bread, drinks, more water, etc. One waiter was extremely rude when we tried to get his attention...the food is good here, so I hate to leave negative feedback...we have dined here before for dinner and never had a bad experience. My hope is that the waitstaff gets it together during brunch hours!"

"I go for the beef stew and the dessert waffle fully loaded. Brunch menu is also very solid and there is a nice selection of Belgian ales. This place is always on point and a good "go-to" spot in the neighborhood."

"Such a cute place! Excellent brunch, they don't rush you out which is noce. French fries are out of this world, can't wait to come back for dinner to try the mussels!"

"Very nice place with big portions of quite good food and attentive service. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a guy whose voice was not only loud, but so intrusive that I could hardly hear my dinner companion's speech. Once he left, things were much better."

"Food her is delicious. Have been several times and am never disappointed. The menu hasn't changed much in all the times I have been there but the food is consistently good. I can recommend the tuna and the beef stew. The butternut squash appetizer is amazing. The sundae was phenomenal with the speculous ice cream. Was too full to do anything else but go home afterwards!"

"The food here was outstanding. Went for brunch, will definitely go back for dinner. The service, however, was a bit lacking. Our server did not tell us until the bill arrived that their credit card machine was broken, and the restaurant did not have a manual credit card processor (which is inexcusable, I think), and refused to call in the card. The server said there was a bank on the corner, but there wasn't, and we had to walk around for a bit to find one to get cash. We would have liked them to handle the situation a little better but the server, and then the hostess, were not apologetic about it all. We asked to speak to a manager and they said there is no manager on duty during brunch."

"Great place for mussels and Belgian beer! I also enjoyed the homemade pate as an appetizer. But while the food is decent, I find the prices a bit steep for what you get."

"Having visited Brussels, Belgium several times, I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The muscles are delicious and the Belgium Beef Stew authentic. The presence of french speaking regulars and the simple but rustic atmosphere made it feel like a little piece of Brussels. Two complaints. One, I wish our server was a little more attentive. He asked if I wanted a second beer when I was done with my meal. It was hard to flag him down. I said no. I would have liked one while I was eating, though. Second, I'd avoid the waffle. It's not a true Belgium waffle."

"A very cosy bistro like atmosphere. The service was very friendly and the food was very good. There is a garden room that also looked nice. The crowd was of mixed ages. I would go back again."

"Went with two friends and had a great evening of reasonably-priced wine, delicious food (we all LOVED the tuna tartare appetizer and the mussels), and a cute setting on the heated back patio. Highly recommended!"

"My boyfriend and I stumbled upon B.Cafe' on the Upper West Side for brunch a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food and beer and ambiance, so for our "New Job/Valentines Day/ Homecoming" celebration I thought it would be nice to go again, but for dinner on the East Side...and we chose correctly. Though others were dressed casually we did not feel at all out of place dressed up for our own private celebration. Our waiter was attentive, and the food and beer excellent! We will go again...and again. The only downside was the noise factor, a table full of loud crude women on our left and a crowd to our right where these two gentlemen pushed their chairs back so far they were practically sitting in our plates."

"My wife and I met a few out-of-town friends here for Sunday brunch (we had been to B. Cafe several times in the past for brunch). Our food was delicious (waffles and french toast with their tasty chocolate sauce, berries, and ice cream) and our friends said they thought it was a great place to meet and catch up!"
