"We took my Mother to Azul for Mothers Day as she loves rack of lamb and I'd read in a couple of reviews that theirs was excellent. She said it was probably the best she'd had. I had the tenderloin special, asking that my side of asparagus be grilled without butter and that my salad be served with balsamic on the side. The meat was excellent, the greens crisp and fresh and the asparagus perfect. My husband had the Pacific halibut and was very pleased. We also had the calamari, which I thought just of tad soggy as it was served with warm greens. Other than the construction around the pool area being less than pleasing to look at and the room being freezing cold, we had a great experience. Would definitely go again and take a sweater."

"Great place if you want to be treated with a good service team looking up for your needs without being all over you, the food was about half way decent to make worth the investment with the exception of the chocolate lava cake at the end. The steaks were dry and overcook from the medium term we ordered but with a chewy texture of being frozen multiple times before use, and the Halibut had an ordinary flavor that could be found at any red lobster. Not thrill about our experience."

"The menu is over priced by a long way - I had a wrap $15.00 that came with maybe a dozen fries, the chicken was dry and virtually no Buffalo taste. the Salmon was also dry - we ordered desert and found the desert menu was out of date as the one thing we wanted did not come with the ice cream it advertised. when we did get our cake you could tell it was burnt"

"Unluckily the outdoor seating area was a construction site - a disappointment but hey I understand, restaurants have to do building work sometime, and it won't last forever. Secondly, the bar. Worst margarita I have ever had - it either tasted like incorrectly diluted margarita mix... or it was. It's Tucson, a good margarita should not be a challenge. The food was variable, the steak was nice and correctly prepared, the fish was tough and bland. A couple of the items were not as described in the menu. No atmosphere. No complaints about the service, but then there's only so much you can love the service when the whole experience is so mediocre. St $100 for two I expected something significantly better. Won't be going back."

"Have been to Azul before a number of times. Probably will not go back. The service was very very slow. A long time to get drinks service. It was almost like our waiter kept forgetting about us even though we were a table of 5. The ambience was not great. I do understand there is some remodelling going on but to be looking at a big wall and partial view of safety fencing!! ..and further, people in swim suits and towels walking through the restaurant area constantly."

"None of the special features noted above apply. The resort is undergoing outdoor renovation, so as we went expecting to enjoy a beautiful sunset looking into the mountains our view was a construction zone with fencing and barricades. No view. We noted the other diners came with the same expectations."

"They must have had the 'B Team' working when we went. The food was well prepared, but the presentation was only mediocre. The service, however, was very poor. It took a little over 20 minutes to get our drinks once ordered and close to an hour for the food. We ordered calamari that wad described on the menu as fried and cruchy. It was fried, but soggy. The steak and scallops were cooked perfectly though. I took my wife on a thursday night and the place was not packed, so there shouldn't have been any reason for the slow service."

"Although the entree portions were a bit small, the food quality was very good and the service was great. The awkard part was the seating. The tables for two are lined up one right next to each other in parallel fashion and separated by about 12 inches. Although there were only two other couples in the restaurant when we arrived, we were seated right next to another couple, both of us in the and we could hear every word they said, and vice-versa. The feeling was like the two couples were eating together as part of the same party-quite uncomfortable. If you go, be sure to ask for a larger table."

"Wanted to say thank you to my friends for having me out for a 3 week vacation. This was the perfect place - quiet elegance that made the evening a very special thank you gift. It was snowing and we had a lovely view of the area with snow. Outstanding Calamari and the Lamb and Scallops were made to perfection. Loved the molten lava cake for dessert too. Service was above and beyond. I loved it."

"It took 2 hours for what should have been a nice Valentine's dinner. we had an initial clue when the menu only had 2 entree choices. The last time we went here, in 2011, the menu was full of options. Then they got the drink order wrong, then it took a full hour before our food was brought out. Then they offered to take the drink off my bill...but they made a mistake and charged me for it. All in all a terrible experience. It seems that management has turned over and so has the wait staff. I know La Paloma went through bankruptcy and is remodeling everything - but that is no excuse. That was the last time I'll go there."

"The first waitress took our food order and completely forgot to bring the wine list. We saw her chatting to people at the next table a few times for several minutes each time, all while waiting for the wine list. It took us a while to get her attention. Once we ordered the wine she either left home or was replaced, and the next guy really saved the day. It seems that it took them a while to prepare the food so even with all the wine list delay they still managed to bring the wine before the food... The food was delicious, the portions were of normal size, not the usual American "stuff yourself 'till you can't breathe". We even shared a dessert to close the evening."
