"Recently went here for the second time, for an early dinner on a Friday night. Food was excellent across the board, the wine and beer selection was good, and the service was super friendly without being overbearing. For desert, the raspberry walnut tart is very highly recommended."

"Great little restaurant! This time we used the best features of OpenTable to find a good restaurant. After visiting the Empire State Building Observatory we needed a close place to eat dinner. I reviewed the closest 15 to 20 restaurants, looked at the reviewers comments and picked Lulu & Me.
We had a great experience there. The food was outstanding, service was quick and pleasant, and it was a neighborhood hot spot. Spoke to the owner and told him how much we enjoyed the place. He was nice enough to send over glasses of Italian dessert wine compliments of the house!
We will go back!"

"I arranged an office lunch for a group of 10, which had a variety of dietary requirements, and the menu was diverse enough to cater to everyone. Plus plus plus. But there were problems. Even though I made a reservation over a week ahead, and called the restaurant an hour before to confirm, our table was not ready and we had to stand around the tiny foyer while they set up. Also, one person had glanced at the menu, decided on the Sicilian Tuna sandwich and didn't read over the rest of the menu. Turns out there's also a platter called Sicilian Tuna and the server did not clarify which she was ordering. So she was served the platter instead of the sandwich. The servers should verify when there are ambiguous items on the menu."

"I have been to this gem of a place many times and it has never failed to impress me or my guests.All of the staff are friendly and the fod and service is excellent.
My nieces aged 7 and 9 recommend the pasta and the chocolate cake! Don't delay make a reservation today ."

"The night I went the bar was packed with a large group so it was very noisy in restaurant. Menu didn't impress me. Maitre d and waitress could not have been nicer. Hope it catches on. The neighborhood can use it."

"Seated promptly by a very friendly gentlemen whom I took to be the owner. Portions were on the smaller side, as advertised, but very well prepared. Drink specials are only honored at the bar? That was sort of puzzling. So they'd rather I get up from my table and walk to the bar and tip the bartender instead of the waiter? Just make it easy. I did like the place, but I would not return. Plenty of others to try and portion/cost ratio was an issue for me."

"Really great atmosphere and great food. We went on Valentine's Day so it was crowded, the service was friendly but really slow. They noticed that and gave us a round of drinks on the house! Manager was really accommodating (we had some bags he held for us at the table). I had the scallops which were rather small but they were yummy. Would def come back."

"Walked in and went to the bar as there was no greeter for my reservation. Ordered 2 appetizers & drinks -the meatballs and some cheese fritter thing while waiting for all in our party to arrive. Food tasted like re-heated frozen nonsense, the cheese fritter had a sweet/sour sauce which was awful, drinks were too sweet or just off-base. We quickly paid and left to avoid a bad meal. Later the restaurant reported that we had not shown up for the reservation which shows disorganization on top of mediocre food. If you want a budget meal and aren't picky about quality or flavor, Lulu & Me would be a good fit."

"Went for Valentines day so I'm not sure what I was expecting for a "gastropub." They were busy, as was every restaurant. We didn't order the special menu as it was $60 a head, so we ordered off the menu. Food was pretty good but the portions were tiny for the price. Overall I probably wouldn't go back for dinner, but I'd imagine lunch would be good. The bar scene looked great for a happy hour, so I might return for that."

"My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience this past Valentine's Evening at Lulu & Me. We enjoyed the restaurant's Valentine's Day Special, which consisted of: a glass of prosecco, Maine Lobster tail-frisee with grapefruit, fettuccine with mushrooms, Kale Wrapped Hake or Pan Roasted Ribeye Steak with dry herb rub, and chocolate cake with gelatto. Each course was delicious and right on time. Portion sizes were appropriate for such high quality cuisine. We would definitely reccomend the restaurant. We definitely intend to visit Lulu & Me again."

"The menu had some interesting items which were well prepared, but the portions, apart from the huge stacks of french fries, were quite small. There was only one waiter and one bus boy for the restaurant, so the service was very slow, especially for a lunch meal. Ambience OK. Prices very high, especially for the amount of food provided."

"My friend and I had a delicious meal there, sharing a variety of small plates that were scrumptious and fresh.
It was so delicious that we proceeded to share a main pasta dish, which was delectable.
The waitress recommended a special chianti, and at $8 a glass, it was a fine suggestion.
The place was hopping, but not so noisy that two old friends could not catch up with one another.
Bar scene looked convivial.
I recommend this restaurant while in the neighborhood."
