Le Viet is a Vietnamese Restaurant located in South Philadelphia. The restaurant serves traditional Vietnamese cuisine with a modern feel. Our Cuisine offers an exciting combination of complex yet delicate flavors showcasing fresh herbs, vegetables, meats, seafood, and our house special sauce.
"The restaurant is so beautiful, the service very attentive, helpful, and friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. A very varied and exotic menu. It stands out in every positive way from the other Vietnamese restaurant in the area."

"We were a large party of 12. We came in, were seated promptly, drinks were brought, food was ordered. After the food came out, we didn't see the waiter again. The restaurant did get more crowded at that point, but we still wanted to order dessert and/or ask for the check. It took 15 mins to get a coffee. Food was great, we've liked the place before, and will be back, but this was a sour note."

"We enjoyed the very serene atmosphere at Le Viet. Service was kind, friendly, tending to our special requests and needs.
The food items (clay pot and rice paper roll-up) were special and unfamiliar, and we enjoyed them as experimental dishes. We hope to be back there soon for more!"

"First, the good: Le Viet Pork Slider and Goi Cuon rolls were fantastic. Shrimp and bbq pork fried rice was also very good. Cocktails were good as well. Ambience was very pleasant. Now the bad; Sizzling short ribs were awful. Very little meat, and the little bit that was there was so tough and chewy that it was inedible. I mentioned this to our server, but he did not offer to get us another dish or to take the item off the bill. All he said was he'd tell the chef. Also, even considering it was a Saturday night, the service was terrible. We were seated for 25 minutes before someone came along to take our drink orders! But I do think this restaurant has potential if they can improve the service and limit their menu to the things they do well."

"Love the smaller portion Pho soup available at Le Viet - great place to be introduced to Vietnamese cuisine. Unfortunately, the dining room in winter is too cold in front of restaurant for any of the tables due to a problem with the vestibule doors not sealing-the glass wall effect is pretty, but the vestibule needs secondary heat pushed into the space to keep the dining room from being blasted by cold air in winter, which really made the dining experience dour. My reservation was also lost and I had to 'defend' my no show, because the manager didn't want to check on the pc that we had a table reserved. Will try again in the summer when I wont freeze at my table."

"Great food, lot's of choices, very helpful staff. Could do without the TV's in the bar or some way to shield their view from the main dining area. Nice to get away from television every now and again. But overall great food, nice room, want to go back to try other items."

"Many dishes are evolving towards more authentic tasting, like grandma makes it. Classy presentation and delicious with really reasonable prices, can't beat that!"

"I ordered a stir fry but I wish I got something lighter. Not sure it they make more complicated items (sauces, floured fish) in-house or purchase pre-packaged. +1 star for available wifi. My friend was a lot more impressed with her choice than I was with mine."

"We went for the Restaurant Week menu. I'd never been so I thought it would be a good way to sample the menu. There were three of us and we all ordered different things, which everyone had a chance to taste. One of the entrees was delicious and the other two were what I'd categorize as "just fine." The desserts were nothing special and one was thrown together so haphazardly, it made all of us laugh and prompted the server to apologize on behalf of the chef. There was nothing WRONG with the place but if I never go again, I will die without regret."

"First time. Most definitely not the last. Knowledgeable staff veered us away from unknowingly getting too much food. Gracious and prompt. I've been raving to my friends."

"I went here for the $35 special for 2 on valentines. They gave you a lot of food at a great price. While the wine isn't anything special, they keep the prices low so you can buy a bottle. I will definitely be back."

"Foods looks more like food court Chinese than Vietnamese. My friend order fish and could not figure out if she got what she ordered or some chicken ... Very disappointing. Service was also pretty bad. The dishes did not come at the same time so one of us always end up waiting for the other and eat cold ..."

"Four of my friends were there for lunch recently. The waiter greeted each of us cheerfully, and the entire staff is very warm and accomodating. The place itself is new, spotless, and beautiful. The menu is extensive; however, we all perused the menu on-line prior to arriving. The food is so beautifully presented that a friend of mine took photos of each dish. The prices are VERY reasonable, and the portions are large. The meats, seafood, and vegetables were all fresh and very tasty. The soups are outstanding. i highly recommend the salad that is half of a pineapple stuffed with calamari and other goodies. There is one dessert that is excellent and reminded me of a spring roll version of a ricotta canoli. We will return."

"I checked this place out because they were offering an alternative to Restaurant Week - since they are not in Center City. The food was delicious and plentiful. The noodles were perfection and the Pho looked amazing. HIghlyt recommend"

"We constantly felt like we had been forgotten while dining. I had to flagged down the water boy multiple times in order to get water refills. Asking for a second drink was frowned upon. I ordered food that was speficied spicy, it was not spicy at all. The only good thing about this restaurant is the decor."
