"I've been here 4 times in the past few months. It is consistent in friendly, attentive service and excellent food. It is just as good for biz lunch as it is for night with friends. There's valet in front and a huge lot in back. I highy recommend this restaurant."

"Enjoyed my first visit to Tortilla Republic on Friday night. Got home from work early and decided we should check it out, so we went on Open Table and booked a reservation. Got to the restaurant, and were seated at an outdoor table right away (good for watching the world go by). The food was delicious, but the service is what really got my attention. Everyone we met--from those working the host stand, to our wait person, to the manager who stopped by the table to say hello--were all so friendly and helpful. In a city where good food is easy to find, it's the service which will make or break a restaurant. I'm happy to say we had a tasty meal and a terrific time. We'll definitely be back for more."

"The best Mexican food in town. I should probably say Latin-fusion food, but I won't. I grew up with Mexican food. It's my favorite. I've eaten every variation possible both in the U.S. and Latin America. This is the best. Love it! Will go back often! Great service, great food, GREAT!"

"We went to Tortilla Republic on a slow night (early Monday evening). The server had a great attitude and was quite helpful in recommending and describing dishes. The chile verde short ribs were amazing, as were the garlic jalapeno potato puree (although definitely hot!). I will definitely go back and try more dishes."

"Pros: great food, strong drink selection, waiters are helpful and friendly. The ceviche was very well seasoned without being too tart or citrus tasting as an app... for entree, I got duck enchiladas, wife got chicken ones... we loved them... taste was perfect without overpowering the palate due to the sauces... flourless chocolate cake was very good, not too rich, not too bitter.
Cons: parking is a little hard to find... there's a public lot that costs $2 for 2 hours right next to the spot, and you may have to wait in your car for someone to leave during busy times of the day. They have valet as well if you're up for that. Spacing for the seating when we went there was a little tight, but they do have many great tables inside and o"

"We celebrated a birthday at TR and it was a perfect evening. We had 2 small kids so we started at 6 PM. They were extremely attentive and made us feel really welcome.
I have been to TR before but it was the first time for our friends. It was great to hear they loved it and wanted to come back again. At the end of the dinner we were given a Birthday presents / thank you gift from the restaurant."

"We (party of 3) went for a tasty meal to celebrate a milestone event. We were seated quickly given an 8:30 reservation on a Sat eve. The table was just inside near the door and the bar - so the noise level was pretty out of control. Also, a number of large parties were seated nearby, with out of control screaming and socializing, making eating the tasty meal somewhat frustrating. That being said, the food there is fantastic! The chips & guac are spicy, so be ready for a little kick! I had the enchiladas (suizas) and they were completely delicious. Another in my group had the chicken enchiladas and the third had the relleno poblano - both of which were said to be wonderful! Lastly, the margaritas were strong and tasty!"

"Cute little place a few blocks south of The Abbey. It's great for when you want to get away from the typical WeHo scene and it's tucked away in the neighborhood so it has a warmer feeling to it. The food was okay, it didn't knock my socks off or anything and there are a few places in the area with much tastier Mexican food but all in all it was nice. The drinks are delicious, on par with Lola's which serves my absolute favorite drinks in this area. It's cute for brunch and I'd return for brunch for sure."

"So far, we've had very good experiences there. Not quite sure why I'm holding back from using the word "excellent" ... I guess to reserve room for a place that's similar but maybe a micro-notch up (food-wise) called Palmila y Tequila in Hermosa Beach. But, the food and ambiance is quite good here. 100% worth coming back for and sampling other stuff on the menu. You know what, it's silly to make that distinction, these guys put care into their food and it's pretty dam good. Maybe 4.5 stars is the accurate score. Very cool vibe, neat decor, fun place for a night out. Chef/owners really put thought into each element that hits the table... respek."

"Because it was Monday, it was quiet. The service was excellent. I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in years, so we took forever to order and our waitress was very patient. We had the guacamole, flautas and enchilada suizas. All were very good."

"There is a nice variety of food choices. We all enjoyed our entrees and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. For a quieter dining experience request to sit in the back part of restaurant. Up front with the bar is too noisy for dinner, but great if you are grabbing drinks!"

"The front room is very loud and very busy on a saturday night just like you would
expect in a west hollywood restaurant. We sat in the back room that was pretty quiet
except for birthday party next to us that was very loud, this is to be expected.
Their was confusion what server was to help us. We sat their for over 10 minutes
before someone came to our table to ask us what we wanted to drink. We then had
the manager show up and explain the confusion. The manager comped our first round
of drinks...I would go back during the week when it is not so busy..We ordered all
appetizers and they were really good.

"My favorite place for a night out with the girls. It's a calm respite with just enough fun to feel special, but dignified enough not to feel rowdy. The food is extremely good with nice departures from typical Mexican offerings. The Margaritas are superb. Jalapeño, in particular, is delightful. Great for business lunches. Is a wonderfully relaxing and consistent experience."
