Frank and Pauly's
Frank and Pauly's opened its first restaurant in 1993 on Public Square in the BP Building. The restaurant won several awards for "The Best Italian" in Cleveland magazine by their subscribers. In addition, Americans On-line Poll voted Frank and Pauly's "The Best Italian Restaurant" in Cleveland. One of our famous signature items is "the Frank and Pauly's Salad with homemade dressing."
Frank and Pauly's is now open in Mentor at The Sawyer House, which is on the National Register of Historic places as one of the only Stone Homes in Lake County and is Mentor's Premier Banquet and Catering Facility.
Frank and Pauly's is unique, in that all menu items are prepared from the freshest ingredients with a passion for the best results. It is our pleasure to prepare and serve you food made with love.

"The restaurant has a very historical feeling with old pictures of previous owners. The mushroom bisque soup was very good. The shrimp appetizer was enjoyed by our whole table. Frank and Pauly's signature salad was delicious. Our whole party enjoyed their pasta dishes. My husband ordered the Mahi Mahi seafood special but was told after placing the order that Mahi Mahi was unavailable. Wine recommended by our server was excellent. Server was attentive. Overall good experience. Had made reservations and was initially seated by the front entrance which was very drafty. Would recommend to owners to change table arrangements away from the door, or to seat parties with reservations at better tables. (Especially when the restaurant was not crowded)"

"On my request at time of reservations state a smaller area but upon arriving the table was the first one by the door which was very drafty and the restaurant was quit empty. I asked to move they did."

"I dined at Frank & Pauly's along with two friends. I enjoyed my visit however one of my friends could not his meal and was quite disappointed. He thought the tomatoe sauce was far to sweet. I agree. I don't know why sugar is added to tomatoe sauces but it is just wrong - perhaps a VERY LITTLE might help. Same for the salad dressing. Cut back on the sugar and it would just perfect. For me the eggplant was excellent. The interior is a bit too dark and heavy looking. Lighten up the interior for a more friendly experience. Remove all that wood and dated dark color."

"Worst dining experience ever. Once seated 15 minutes till anyone came over, 10 more to get drinks. We asked to order and for the specials. 40 minutes for our food. While waiting never checked on or beverages refilled. Swearing in the kitchen could be heard in restaurant. The server put in the special expresso crusted strip steak for our 6 year old daughter. Since our food was dropped and no check back it was never eaten. Asked for check 25 minutes to get it. Talked to tables around us they were also having terrible service. 1 had to go to the bar and get a bottle of wine and glasses for her table. on leaving I told everyone entering to find somewhere else to eat!! We usually give a place a 2nd chance but we wont."
