Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine
Co-owned by basketball legend Walt "Clyde" Frazier and ARK Restaurants, and located in Hell's Kitchen, not far from Madison Square Garden, "Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine" is a dramatic three-tiered restaurant with an open kitchen, ample dining rooms, a large bar and lounge. 56 television screens provide sports fans unlimited access to their favorite sports events. There is also a free-throw basketball court for those willing to challenge Clyde. We are open 7 days a week and serve Contemporary American Cuisine with Asian influences. We have an extensive wine list and a menu of cocktails based on Clyde's phrases and sayings.

"My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I made a reservation at this restaurant after hearing about it on the radio. We lucked out and it turned out the Knicks final playoff game coincided with our reservation. Clyde Frazier was there, and graciously let us take pictures with him. We had a table near the kitchen...perfect seats to watch the game as one wall is lined with televisions. The food was delicious (wings and guacamole for starters, turkey burger, stuffed shrimp, and mac and cheese for dinner)...the waiter was outstanding. For dessert I ordered the molton chocolate cake for my daughter and the waiter and kitchen put a candle in it and spelled out "happy birthday" on the plate with chocolate sauce. Loud due to the game, but expected."

"The highlight of my evening was seeing Clyde Frazier himself and being able to shake his hand. He's so personable! Then, the Knicks playoff game was on so it was super pumped at the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a little loud for our group, who wanted to just talk and catch up, but hey, timing's everything. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Lots of variety on the menu. We ordered a lot of appetizers to share before our entrees and everything was delicious. I loved the Avocado Fries.....never had them before and I dream about them now. :-)"

"Try the crab cakes and mixed green salad they were amazing!!! I was pleasantly surprised that they were so full of crab! Good things come in small packages and they certainly fit the bill. Also, the chicken tenders were tasty as well."

"My boyfriend and i took my mom there on mother's day. She enjoyed herself as much as we did. We even got to shoot some hoops lol. As far as the food goes, there's a good selection. And some vegetarian friendly meals. We ordered chips with guacamole. And the guy literally came to the table and made it for us from scratch."

"Went there for my 30th b-day, which also coincided with a Knick's playoff game (viewing party). They handed out free Knicks-colored T-shirts and the crowd was so into the game. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, the prices were reasonable (especially for Manhattan) and our waiter couldn't have done a better job. I will 100% be visiting this spot again."

"We went to dine this day at Clyde's place to watch one of the Knicks' playoff games. This was our first visit. We requested a good table by the TV. The waitress first seated us about as far away from the TV that there is! We immediately requested a different table. Our view was ok. The ambiance is actually more like one of the restaurants at Citi field or Yankee Stadiium. It has that sports event restaurant feel! We opted for burgers and fries! Nice menu - but went with the casual! Charcoaled burger - terrific! One of the best I have had in NYC! Bar scene is more lively and fun! Next time we will opt to sit there and enjoy the food and the games!"

"I am a resident of the building attached to Clyde's so I frequently rely on Clyde Frazier's for a late night burger and beer (The signature cocktail drinks are AMAZING) but I never sit down to dine. However, my Mother is a Knicks fan and I figured the perfect gift would be to watch the Knicks play in Round 2 for Mother's Day. I can always rely on the service, ambience and energy to be superior at Clyde's but I was a tad bit disappointed in our food choices. The creole shrimp and pork ribs were semi-flavorful but the tiny portions were a turnoff because it did not match the "sports bar" attitude the restaurant has. For this reason, I will stick to ordering burgers, french fries and pizzas when visiting."

"This place will not be open for long. We went during a playoff game so the noise was expected but the service was really bad. You should have your wait staff try the food and beverages on your menu so they can speak intelligently about the menu and help diners make choices or steer clear of items like fajitas in a thick red overpowering sauce or dried out hamburgers. The service was also extremely slow and our waiter often could not be found. Would not recommend this place, even just to watch a game."

"We came here at the request of my 79 year old father who had somehow heard that Clyde Frazier had a restaurant in nyc. He is a big fan and had a wonderful time. It was timed perfectly- during the playoffs- so very large, crowd and buzz. They passed out free tee shirts during the evening. I bought my father an autographed basketball- he was thrilled! Even my mother was thrilled and bought two tee shirts for friends."

"Went there for dinner for the first time with a group of four. Menu isn't vast, but has a great range from pub food to standard entrees. Everything was delicious and the service was fast and pleasant. One of us spilled water over another's entree - which was replaced rapidly and cheerfully. For sports buffs, the walls are lined with screens showing what's happening: not a bad seat in the house!"

"This was our first time dining at Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine at it was great! It was my husband's birthday and I wanted to do something that included an evening out and the ability to see the eastern conference playoff game. We got 2 for 1! Great food, lots of energy and we even saw Clyde himself at the bar quietly eating with his wife which was an extra perk for us...the night couldn't have been more perfect!"

"Went for lunch before Game 1 of the playoffs last Saturday, so the place was pretty full and ESPN Radio was doing a pregame show. It was kinda loud, but when asked to be seated away from the noise we got a nice table around the corner and got to see into the kitchen. The service was attentive and the food surprisingly tasty. We only had a few appetizers but would come back on a less frentic evening and try the dinner menu. Clyde himself arrived during our visit and was friendly and gracious to all, and he was dressed pretty sharp too."

"The service to my surprise was poor. We waited about 30 minutes before we even got water. I had to ask the waitress who seemed rushed if we would be served anytime soon and she said she would be right back but that was 25 minutes later. When she did take our order, she did not ask if we wanted anything to drink so I had to say, "you did not ask but I will have a sprite". The food when it finally arrived was delicious. The ribs and crab cakes are winners but the service needs work. Disappointed that Clyde did nit stop by."
