"Our family dined at Avenue Cafe Bar and Grill for their Mother's Day brunch. Upon arrival we were immediately seated at a table reserved with my name on it. This was a nice personal touch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Very nice that the manager took time to stop by each table to ensure customers dining experience was going well. The food was good and included the typical buffet offerings, including an omelet and meat carving station. Mimosas and champagne was included in the buffet price. Our only complaint was the pancakes and waffles on the buffet were cold and a little hard. The cafe should consider only preparing waffles/pancakes as patrons orders them. Overall the food and service was very good."

"I chose this restaurant because I had a large party (15) on a Saturday evening in downtown DC. The location is great...just a few minutes walk to the bars on P St. at 15th St., but the food was just average. Typical American fare of burgers, chicken breasts and cheese steaks. No one had any complaints about the food quality, but it was nothing extraordinary and the food service was fairly slow. Our server seemed totally overwhelmed and, therefore, drinks went unfilled and it took forever to get the check."

"I had a great time at this restaraunt, the food was excellent and the ambiance was great. The restaraunt jut underwent some major renovations so the place looked amazing. The service was extremely good. The waiters were very kind and pacient and knew a lot about the menu. I had a question about some of the food and the chef personally came out to talk to me. I had a great time at this restaraunt and would recommend it for anyone."

"I went here because they had a 1,000 point promotion. My first impression was that the front door to the place was locked even though they had a sign that said open. I was confused so I walked into the hotel (Holiday Inn) and entered through the side. I arrived at noon so it was weird that this door would be closed as it is the street entrance. I was the only person in the place when I ate lunch. The menu has plenty of choices and the food was prepared well. The service was perfect and the pricing appropriate. I just wish they did a better job filling up the place so it didn't feel like such a ghost town."

"The food was horrible! The worse that I've had in Washington and I've been here 30 years. The rice that came with my crab cakes must have been sitting around since lunch. There was obviously no concern about food quality."

"This is a hidden gem! The welcome was fantastic and all of the staff members were extremely pleasant and accomodating, several going above and beyond. Th place itself is small but comforting and the food was flavorful(especially the pasteries-which they make in-house fresh daily YUMMY!!) They even make eggs to,order not just omelets(how fantastic is that)!
This is a must visit brunch location, the price is right, the service devine, food delicious. I give it an A+. My mom is wheelchair bound and they went out of the way to accomodate her and paid her extra attention. WOW!"

"I was super impressed by this restaraunt, this is the first time I ever went here and I was blown away by the amazing food and service. I was recommended to come here by a good friend of mine after he went to the brunch here and had an amazing experience and I regret nothing. The service was superior compared to all of the restaraunts I had recently went too. The chef even came to my table to talk to me in person, he did the same for many others as well. The food was just delicious and wonderfully flavored. I look forward to coming to this neighborhood gem again because I'm sure it will be yet another great experience."

"Overall, it was "meh." There was no one there and we were able to get a large party seated quickly, but it took them over 45 minutes to make the food, so I assume they had to start the burners in the kitchen and wake the chef since we were the only people eating. The lights also were flickering a lot, which made several of our party uncomfortable. We went there out of convenience and because it was 8 pm in Logan circle and there were waits everywhere else."

"After their recent renovations, the whole place is sparked with newfound life, the restaurant went from good to amazing, the staff are still just a friendly and carrying and the food is only getting better. The bar is and has gone through some seriously awesome renovations. This is defiantly my new favorite place to eat. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone, it such a nice place."

"Very happy with the service, menu, and food. Great place to eat that you might just miss. I highly recommend stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I had both breakfast and dinner there during my stay at the hotel and I was not disappointed."
