"A large group of friends were meeting for cocktails, appetizers and lunch before a downtown wedding reception. There were ten if us. We were seated at a very large booth- perfect for a party especially since we were all sharing food. Great appetizer menu and wonderful martinis. I can't speak to entrees or desserts but the service was fast and accommodating. Will definitely be back!"

"This was a very confusing reservation. I am not able to write everything I would like to but basically they could not find our reservation even though they'd called to confirm the day before and we had about 5 different employees ask us the same question, "are you supposed to be seated over here? you know there's a reservation here." Yes, we know, because it's our reservation. They are not group friendly (we had a party of 15).I would suggest going with 3 people max.
I've heard this restaurant does not have the best service and I had to find out the hard way!Our waitress was good but the hostess was unwelcoming and a little rude.
I will not go for any birthday celebrations again which is disappointing because the food and drinks are g"

"We had a party of 4 and one meal was forgotten and the pork had a funny flavor but we informed the waiter who informed the manager and they removed those 2 items from our bill. "Overall great experience. We had a 10PM reservation and had to wait 40 minutes. The restaurant claimed we showed up late and they wiped our reservation without informing us even though we showed up a few minutes early. I credit this to a busy night, lots of reservations, stressed workers. We had an awesome meal with great drinks and will definitely go back."

"The server was efficient but seemed bothered by us. My coworker gave the server her water glass and told him there were two cracks in it and he let out a big sigh. Not sure if that was for the trouble or because his coworker set the table with a broken glass. He was not attentive to some of of 8 person party. We had to ask for refills and other things a couple of times before he brought them. It was not busy. The server's hands were shaking so we were not sure if he was nervous or what. The food was delicious and arrived on time. The place was clean and decor was nice."

It's not a foodies delight, but it is great for chocolate lovers. The pricing for both restaurant week and in general was pretty reasonable, and the portions are hearty."

"Excellent Restaurant Week deal at Chocolate Bar! i was pleased to find that the normal $30 pp was actually for TWO people! Portions were not very large, but was still plenty of food. I went with two friends- we shared the hummus appetizer. Dinner was the crabcakes, chicken pesto flatbread and mediterranean salad. None of the food was really spectacular this time, but everything was good and I've never had a bad meal here. The cocktails and wine list are excellent and of course the dessert is outstanding. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The staff there is always great. This is a perfect spot for drinks, lunch or dinner. Don't let the price of the martinis scare you- they're WORTH IT!"

"I have been wanting to go to The Chocolate Bar since it opened. I finally made reservations to go on Valentine's Day with my husband. What a disappointment. Where should I start....They sat us in the corner by the window and next to the door. The entire "dining experience" we listened to the door slamming shut each time someone came in/out the door. We waited about 15 min for a server to acknowledge we were there. Once we ordered our food and drinks, it came within a reasonable timeframe. The food was just okay, and it was lukewarm. Someone apologized for the banging door as we left, but never offered any kind of compensation. That's okay because I will never go back."
