Tango Bistro
Tango's menu offers contemporary American Cuisine in a comfortable setting, located just off the train tracks in Bryn Mawr. You can settle in to our Main Dining Room in a cozy banquette, enjoy dining by the fireplace or perhaps the intimacy of a smaller room with bright French doors. Our Train Room is reminiscent of a dining car as the train whizzes by the window. In the summer, enjoy Tango's deck seating. A large wrap-around patio comfortably seats guests under a shaded canopy or along our fabulous Cantina Bar. Voted "2008 Best Al Fresco Dining on the Main Line" by Main Line Today.
Our menu features the comfortable dishes you always love and we feature seasonal specialties with some cultural flare. Tango offers an extensive beverage menu and wine list to compliment your meal.

"We had a nice meal at Tango. It was not outstanding, but it was indeed very good. My steak was not as flavorful as it might have been, but the warm chocolate souffle and ice cream was tremendous. Very good tempura crab appetizer. All in all, everyone was happy with but not totally blown away with the food. Quality was consistently. Service was a little slow. We needed to actually get up to find our waitress to get our bill after waiting for 15 minutes. But, she was pleasant...just not sufficiently on top of it."

"The food and service were good, but the insipid hostesses put a damper on the evening. The restaurant was barely 1/3rd full, but the hostess put us at an unnice table. When asked to change, one would have thought it was moving from business class to first class and that the change would come out of her salary. Finally, this took place, the change, I mean, but this put a damper on the evening. Hostesses are there to serve customers, not themselves.!"

"Not bad, but pricey for the level of the food. My wife said the sweet sauce on her filet was weird, but the steak was pretty good. I liked my duck. We both loved the oyster quesadillas. Beer was way over priced and in small glasses. Why scrimp on beer? The more people drink, the more they eat and the more they tip. Charging a customer $6 for a coffee cup's worth of beer seems silly to me."

"I usually enjoy my meal here but not this time. Rather than ranting about everything that was wrong with it, I will just advise to not order the Vegetable Prima Vera. It shouldn't even be on the menu. Olive Garden can beat theirs!"

"Excellent staff and wonderful atmosphere. Though busy for lunch it was easy to have a conversation and the wait staff were perfect. Drinks prepared just as requested. Two orders of wonderfully fresh breads with peppered olive oil. Absolutely fabulous cream of mushroom soup and the quiche was cheesy and full of delicious vegetables. The jambalaya was full of delicious seafood and made to order for spiciness and could have satisfied two. Simply delicious. My favorite restaurant for all the reasons given above and because it is consistently excellent every time I treat myself to another great meal at the Tango Bistro."

"Had a party of 8 on a Sunday afternoon, ranging in age from 17 to 80. Everyone loved it! Food was excellent. Entrees included ahi tuna, veal meatloaf, lobster ravioli and lamb chops. We shared a few appetizers and would highly recommend the crab, artichoke dip with nachos. Service was outstanding. Our round table was in a little private alcove, so it was quiet. Would highly recommend."

"The occasion was a Birthday dinner with notification to the restaurant of the occasion but with no acknowledgement of any kind from restaurant. Very good appetizer salad (poached pear) but entrees left something to be desired. My wife ordered the duck breast's which were served at the perfect temperature but I thought lacked a little taste. My 3 lamb chops on the other hand were thin, dark and seemingly grilled on a flatiron with an almost "burnt" taste. Two of the chops were served at the correct M Rare temperature while the third was so underdone and tough as to be inedible. Having only two edible lamb chops reduced my dinner portion size to an unacceptable level. Despite other positive reviews, I'm not sure I would try Tango Bistro"

"I have a couple of ad hoc groups of creative folks who gather occasionally to regale each other as we drink and feast. Tango is becoming our go to place for this. They were most accommodating as I changed reservations on them several times. And they have a lovely little alcove with a round table that sits 10 and keeps us from worrying the noise will bother other patrons. (Sitting in the room by the train tracks is pretty cool, too.) My wine-loving friends said the wine list was lovely, and me, the beer lover, also found more than a few selections to keep me happy. Also, being right by the train station in Bryn Mawr makes it a nice central spot for people coming from the city and the suburbs."

Server was great, friendly, and helpful. 3 of 4 apps were great and fourth okay (scallops on pork bellys (I was feeling adventurist). Snapper was very good but did not like side that came with it. If your a train buff...definite place. R5 runs right past it a few times during dinner but noise from train is very quiet. We would go back."

"Pub food masquerading as fine dining. Appetizers mostly unappetizing. Main courses uninspired and poorly prepared. Wait staff tries but is overwhelmed and not getting much help from the bar. Wine list looks decent at first glance but hugely disappoints. Starts at $40 and nothing under $55 is worth drinking (equivalent to your average $9 special at the wine store). Don't bother with Tango. Was a sect place a few years back but no longer."

"Went to Tangos for the first time on Saturday night with the family for a visit with our son who goes to college at Villanova. Was pleasantly surprised. Great atmopshere, delicious food and great service. We shared appetizers of crab/artichoke/spinach dip with nachos, sesame crusted seared tuna and mexican chicken rolls. All wonderful. Entrees were jambalaya, lobster ravioli and strip steak. All done to perfection. Very friendly and competent waiter as well. Would definitely come back."

"Wonderful food,great food choices, lovely setting but our service was abysmal. Our waitress was clueless, she totally ignored us, we had to ask for water refills, wave to her to order a second round of drinks, my husband had to find her to finally get our bill. We would dine there again if we were sure to have better service!"

"We have eaten a Tango for several years. The food is very good, the servers are attentive and friendly.
On this occasion, I ate there with my two sons (11 & 3). The boys love Tango, due to the Train Room. One room sits directly next to the tracks shared by Septa and Amtrak. When you eat there, especially during rush hour, the kids are entertained by either Amtrak rushing by or Septa coming/leaving Bryn Mawr Station.
My younger son had pasta and fruit, which he finished. My older son and I split Fried Oysters served on Tortilla Chips, Steak Frittes, and a Chicken Burrito. All of the meals were tasty and well prepared.
The beer selection is decent, with always a handful of new/different beers on tap/in bottles."
