Woody's Solana Beach is the newest casual restaurant and bar in the heart of Solana Beach. In a friendly casual environment, Woody's offers a menu filled with the fresh fish, prime & Angus beef and poultry. The restaurant provides guests a variety of seating options from the comfortable dining room with large roomy booths to the open bar or secluded wine lounge. Guests especially enjoy the daily happy hour, with half off appetizers, great cocktail and wine specials, Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Saturday-Sunday 3:00pm-6:00pm
Don’t forget about the weekends, our bottomless champagne or two pints of craft beer, brunch, features huge omelets, entree salads and specialty dishes, which are served every Sunday.
"We had a group of 7 at Woody's Mother's Day. For all of us it was a first time coming here. Everyone really enjoyed their entres. The atmosphere is casual and I can really see coming here and enjoying their bar scene. I would recommend Woody's for casual fun!"

"Tried Woody's Big Blue burger this time. The serving was so generous that I could only finish about half my plate. A half pound burger is served alongside a mountain of potatoes (your choice of regular or sweet potato fries, potato salad, or homemade chips). I chose the sweet potato fries, which are thick cut and delicious. My only suggestion would be to serve a garlic aioli or something rather than plain ketchup, since the tomatoes and sweet potatoes fight to be the dominant flavor and don't complement each other particularly well. My spouse's crab cakes were nothing special - average size and served over a disappointing salad. They were listed under "lunch plates", but more an appetizer. I shared my burger and we both left full."

"We had a great experience at Woody's! A party of 7, we all ordered different things and no one had any complaints! The burgers are delicious as were the seafood omelettes. Our server, Jessica, was fantastic! The hostess, Hailey, was sweet as well! Would definitely go back again for mimosa brunch!"

"We came for Sunday brunch but there are no buffet lines. You order from the menu and our dishes were beautiful, plentiful and delicious. I plan to go back on Tuesday for their lobster and Wednesday for the Prime Rib. My waitress said they are excellent. $5 Bloody Mary was delicious. I love the decor."

"I took a friend to brunch for her birthday and we were very pleased with the food and service. Chelsea our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The Spicy Puerto Neuvo Lobster omlette was excellent with huge chunks of lobster. And who can beat bottomless Mimosas"

"We loaded up on appetizers, tried them all, and they were surprisingly good. Creative food options. Service was excellent. Fun scene. Definitely will be back for happy hour, and probably for dinner, too. Better than I expected."

"Thank goodness we made a reservation. This place was packed on Sunday. I overheard the hostess tell a couple that the wait for a table would be 1 hour and 45 minutes. I assumed that because the place was so busy that the food would be great. I ordered the crab crusted fried green tomatoes and was not thrilled. First off the fried tomato wasn't green! That tang of unripened tomato was totally lost. We also got the vegetable omelet which included peas. Weird. The service was not attentive. Someone tossed a basket of two muffins on our table without a backward glance. After they had dropped our food, I hoped to make eye contact with someone for some Tabasco. Nope. About 10 minutes later we flagged someone down but the food was already cold."

"Woody's Solana Beach delivers once again! My fiance and I had only been for dinner twice when they were newly opened and we were impressed by the friendly staff. The food was good, but not amazing...great servers made the place. We returned for their Sunday Brunch and not only was our server Jessica fantastic, the food was really good! The bottomless mimosas delivered as well ;) We'll definitely be returning, despite the fact that we're moving to Vista shortly, it'll be one of 'our spots'."

"Had a very nice birthday dinner at Woody's with the family. The food was excellent, the service very friendly and good, and the ambience was fun. There was a band playing by the bar, but not so loud you couldn't have dinner conversation in the dining area."

"I ate at Woody's for lunch recently and my friend and I both agreed it was superb! We had the crab and shrimp Louie which was fresh and delicious. Our waitress told us abut Tuesday Lobster night which also sounded great. My husband and I invited another couple and we made reservations for 6:30. Although that seemed early enough, they were already out of lobster by the time we arrived! We were told only 20 lobsters, total, were available and they sold out. We weren't surprised that 20 lobsters sold so fast, considering the price, we were surprised, however, that they only had 20 available. It seemed like a "bait and switch". We ordered appetizers instead, and found them just OK."

"I have been here twice before concerts at the Belly-up. Dined on 12/31/12 and 2/14/13. All I can say is I love this place. The food is good with nice prices. On Valentine's Day they had half price wine from their wine list. There wine selection is decent, most could find something to drink. I highly recommend Woody's anytime, it's a fun place and it's four blocks to the Belly-Up Tavern for a concert."

"Banquette table for four had little leg room. A bit pricey for what is offered in portion size. We returned an overcooked pork chop (the last they had and a bit small). Have eaten here before with better results. Friday night was a bit noisy to hold a conversation with the combo performing. Their happy hour offerings are worthwhile. Stick with these before 7 PM."

"We were in town visiting, and found Woody's. It was a great find, especially since it was still Happy Hour. 1/2 off apps and drink specials. The mussels and bang bang shrimp were excellent. Main dishes we had were the salmon, and the lobster special."

"This was our second visit to Woody's. It wasn't quite as good this time around, but still very enjoyable and we will return. Spouse's salmon was delicious. I specifically asked for the jicama slaw since it was so delicious last time, but the recipe had been drastically changed and it ended up being a real disappointment. C'est la vie. The ribs were a bit dried out, so they might be something to avoid. Next time, we're trying the burgers since the ones we saw going to other tables looked great!"

"The service was good, but the light above the booth where we were sitting was so bright I was waiting for the interrogation to begin. The chocolate cake dessert was so bad that we sent it back. The lobster quesadilla and crabcakes were good."

"Most of the reviews talked about the brunch so we didn't really know what to expect. The dining area is open with booths lining the walls. We sat at a booth and had a view of the entire restaurant and bar. The service was very good. The restaurant was moderately busy. We all enjoyed our dinners. The lobster mac n cheese was very tasty. I had the lobster risotto. It had an abundant amount of lobster tails in it. I took half of it home. The Kale salad was very tasty, lightly dressed. The really fun thing was that they had a live band that was outstanding. We stayed at the bar after dinner and listened. Can't remember the name, but they were a trio from Hawaii and the music was nice. Will definitely go back again."

"Went on Valentine's Day. On a very busy evening staff was still friendly, engaging and provided great service. Bonus was Thursday night 50% off bottles of wine. Didn't expect they would honor on Valentine's Day, but they did. A great neighborhood restaurant and bar."

"We came here for our day after Valentine's Day dinner with our best friends. We had our favorite server, Nick, and we can't ask for anything more. From the moment we sat at our table until the end, everything was fantastic! Food and service was excellent and was topped with a complimentary slice of Rocky Road Ice Cream cake which was fantastic.
I'm so glad we discovered Woody's through Travel Zoo's offer and of course, I had to cross-check reviews with Open Table and Yelp :)"

"We've been here quite a few times for Happy Hour/dinner and had excellent experience, both quality of food and service.
We decided to try the Sunday brunch with BOTTOMLESS mimosas with some friends (4 of us) and the food was great. We had the Beach Front and Spicy Chorizo and Lobster Omelettes and they were great. However, our server wasn't as proactive on checking on our mimosas and we had to keep waiting for the refill (either more champagne or OJ).
Overall, we love this place and we'll be back. Towards the end, we had to ask the server from the next table for more champagne and she just left us a whole bottle which she was doing with her tables. We'll try to request her next time we go there for brunch :)"

"The food was great. I don't think they were prepared for the crowd there for Sunday Brunch. 30 minutes for the food to be brought out after ordering. The unlimited Mimosas had people staying for hours just chatting. If we weren't there on a limited time frame, it would have been more enjoyable."

"Lousy waiter, mediocre food, loud and cold "ambience," indifferent staff. Not worth it for the money - not even for happy hour. Perhaps we should have stayed at the bar, as the patrons there seemed to have more attentive service."

"Our evening was delightful. This is a sports bar, but one for adults. So, while there were lots of TVs on and around, the tables are not crammed into the space -- those in the center of the dining room even have table cloths. The noise was just lively -- we didn't have to scream to have a conversation. The food was yummy."

"We waited ONE HOUR+ for our meals at brunch. The waitress was very apologetic about the delay. During that one hour the cooks and chef did not get my order correct. My request for cilantro vinaigrette dressing instead of the adobe (sp?) sauce for the California shrimp salad was ignored. An omelet had unthawed shrimp. All the omelets were sparse on fillings which was disappointing considering the prices were above $14."
