A top restaurant in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio, Parkers Blue Ash Tavern is a full service, upscale, traditional steak and seafood restaurant and bar serving lunch, dinner, brunch and private functions. It's a favorite place to eat for the whole family. The restaurant offers full flavored prime rib, plus delectable steak and fresh seafood. Diners enjoy attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of an old tavern. Parkers Blue Ash Tavern is housed in a free-standing building, similar in style to those of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse Farms, complete with deep brown timbers, four inviting fireplaces, and race horse memorabilia. This fun restaurant is located in the northern Cincinnati suburb of Blue Ash. Its five separate dining rooms with 215 seats and a 65-seat bar lounge offer something for everyone.
"A Cincinnati gem. Well worth the journey just off the interstate for this place. The food was authentic, original, and delicious. Our group of five couldn't help but share bites of each of our choices because we felt bad hogging this food to ourselves. The prime rib was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Kobe beef cheeseburger was and explosion of tastiness that had to be eaten with a fork bc a bun wasn't good enough for this masterpiece. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The bread pudding sent the entire table over the moon. Our server, Tina was attentive, knowledgable and fun. The manager was informative and friendly. Even the bartender came by to check on us. We were thrilled that our trip from Indianapolis brought us here."

"Nothing beats a restaurant with a well trained staff! From the time we were seated by a pleasant hostess until we left and were told thank you for dining with us, the service was perfect. I like a server who is confident, smart and doesn't need chit chat to enhance her tip! The food was hot and well served and everything about our evening was perfect. My only thought was that our table was blistered and much of the finish was worn off. I thought it might need to be refinished but other than that I enjoyed our visit to Parker's Blue Ash Grill."

"Great spot for lunch or dinner. Love the dynamite sticks but also the grilled turkey club sandwich at lunch. Mac n cheese entree is true comfort food. The salad entrees are huge! Excellent service today as usual."

"A group of 7 went for dinner for a birthday. They recognized that and wished me a happy birthday when I arrived. It was nice that they acknowledged my birthday and offered a free dessert at the end. I had the Kobe burger and it was very good as well as the ceasar salad. The wine selection was nice as well. Server was good but not great. Overall I would go back again."

"Our waitress and her helpers were so attentive and allowed all of us to enjoy Mother's Day a little more. Dad is 91, and his child bride, mom, is 84. The waitstaff catered to both of them and cheerfully worked through their own Mother's Day. Thanks ladies and gentlemen job well done. Jeff Richey"

"We have had brunch here several times, mostly on mother's day, father's day. Every time we go we are not disappointed at all! The brunch buffet is wonderful."

"Our noon reservation on Mother's Day was not as crowded as I had anticipated, which made the whole experience nice. There were plenty of buffet selections to choose from, including shrimp cocktail and wood-smoked salmon. The omlette station provided omlettes that were sized for just one person and didn't overwhelm your plate, but we shared it. The waffles were the melt-in-your-mouth high point of the brunch. They provided a previously-frozen strawberry compote, but I would have preferred fresh blueberries. The carving station had some delicious prime rib and fine smoked ham. We thought the price was a little high ($31.95), for the lack of view, even with the single complementary cocktail of choice: champagne, Bloody Mary, or Mimosa."

"We were diappointed in the Mother's Day brunch. It was not worth the price. The food was mediocre, the table of "desserts as far as the eye can see" was one small table with a few choices and the service was not very good. This was an expensive brunch by Cincinnati standards. We would not recommend it to anyone."

"Very interesting one-of-a-kind building and decor emphasizing horse racing, especially KY Derby. Very good food priced fairly. The wait staff is okay....a little but less responsive than the very best restaurants."

"Selections were minimum. I have had much better and in the past the BA Parker Grille had more selections. Was disappointed. However, the beinets (SP?) were great as usual."

"I made a dinner reservation for 6:45 p.m. We arrived at 6:40. The hostess greeted us and we told her about our reservation under "Smith". She immediately told us that our table wouldn't be ready until 7:00. We sat and waited while other people came in and were seated. Finally, at 7:05, they told my husband that it would be just a few more minutes. They also said they would be sitting in the bar area, not the dining area. I went up to the hostess and asked what the problem was. She said, We're waiting for the rest of your party to arrive." I asked her what other people???? We are a party of two. She said you're not the Smith party of 6? I said "no". She mentioned another Smith and I said that's not us."

"We had brunch on Sunday at Parker's. There are very few good brunch restaurants in this city and to us this is the best. The omelets were made to order and they were very good. Many places have too many eggs in the omelet but this one was just right. The waffles were also extremely good with hot syrup. We also had shrimp, ham, roast beef with the mashed potatoes. They had a good variety of desserts."

"We have always liked Parkers, including when it was James Tavern. Didn't see pumpkin soup on the menu though. There were six of us and we were seated at a round table which we appreciated, much easier to converse. The décor hasn't changed in 20 or so years, which is good. Comfortable, just right for a Sunday dinner, or a night out."

"Just as bad as I remember it. Food was edible but not worth the price. Service was ok but a little slow for a Thursday night. If you go, stay in the bar and order appetizers. We probably will not return for another decade. Sorry to see some things never change."

"We enjoyed a great business lunch. My friend kept remarking how great the French dip sandwich was and I said the turkey, goat cheese sandwich had no equal. Perfect atmosphere to do casual business. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive but not too much to be bothersome. All I can say is "we'll be back!""

"Easter brunch was a little disappointing.... did not include all of the dishes that make this brunch way over the top! But, what dishes they served were vey good and well prepared. Bacon was crispy and not wilted, scrambled eggs were creamy and not spongy and overdone like most buffets. Potatoes were crispy and hot, without being hard. Smoked (and cedar planked) salmon both delicious. Fruit was a disappointment... they did not have the usual display of fresh melon and strawberries, etc. Overall, it was very good. I'm just accustomed to the usual huge assortment of hot dishes and colorful display of fresh fruit. I'm not a big fan of mixed fruit in a bowl. Seated in the bar area... service was EXCELLENT! Happy servers all around"

"It has been some time since we have been to your restaurant. We were impressed that we were seated immediately upon our arrival. We were seated in the bar area, so the table passage ways were quite crowded and the speaker noise level was quite high. It was difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. The food and selection was okay, but not as good as we remembered it from the past. Some of your competitors offer a better selection of foods for their Easter offering. Again, your offering was not bad, but not as good as we expected."

"Had been to brunch before and had maybe set expectations for Easter Brunch a littl high. Food was only so so. Asked to have the blower that was directly above us turned down a little but it never made it. Ate with coat on."

"Great prime rib - a bit pricey though for what you recieve. Baked potato was not fluffy -instead it seemed starchy and reheated. Bread selection- better dinner rolls from a day old bread store. Surprised that there was no soup, salad, or juice offering as part of the meal - The Houston Inn is comparable and a better value."

"We had a great time. Our server was quick and efficient as well as knowledgeable. The food was delicious from beginning to end and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The decor and atmosphere was also welcoming and enjoyable. We also felt that the prices matched the quality of food Parker's serves."

"Everything was good except for our seating (for 4). We were up against the backside of the fireplace. Two people were up against the fireplace rocks and 2 were out in the isle way. Waiters (especially) and other customers kept hitting the chairs that were in the isle way. There was not enough room for tables for four in that area and the view was of a rock wall."

"We took a neighborhood group of 10 to Parkers for dinner and, for the most part, were satisfied. However, with only one server assigned to the table, things took a long time, The food was good and the portions were appropriate."

"Food was excellent. Goat cheese ravioli was an unexpected menu choice that did not disappoint. One person ordered a fried zucchini appetizer to share. I envisioned a greasy, breaded, mushy dish, but it was light and crisp. Everyone in our party was pleased."
