Pasha Mezze Restaurant, CoffeeHouse and Catering is a family owned Turkish restaurant, which originally opened in Chesapeake in 2003. Initially we sold some grocery items and home decor from Turkey. We also served a couple items to dine in, which eventually raised a demand for variety and expanded seating from our loyal customers. More and more guests returned as they loved the hospitality as much as the food we served. To satisfy the expectations of our clientele and future friends we relied on our original Turkish recipes to prepare dishes that were nourishing and healthy with great taste! From farm to table and organic, whenever we can, our meat is Halal and our Turkish tea is original. Our Baklava, Red Lentil Soup and Hummus are award-winning and our Quinoa Tabouli and Kale Salad are outstanding. The Sunday Brunch offers a unique and tasty menu. We provide delicious Turkish food with Mediterranean and American influences in a warm and inviting environment. Come join us.
"I was a little disappointed that the online menu had more variety than the updated menu in the restaurant. I chose the restaurant based on what I saw online. The food was pretty good however."

"Overall a good dining experience. Wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed with diners leading to a long service time. But, food was excellent and I would definitely return, just with a smaller group."

"We have been to Pasha Meeze before, The front desk hostess was wonderful. She seated us immediately and offered us drinks until our waitress came. The waitress took awhile to come to the table and was very slow in bringing us food. We ordered two appetizers one was the walnut dip which and the other was hummus. The waitress said we could get the dips on one plate but she didn't explain that the hummus would be placed UNDER the walnut dip, so we could not eat both at once We wanted to have a bite of one, then the other. No bread or butter was offered, but another waiter brought it and apologized. Very slow service from the waitress, hardly came to the table."

"To reverse atherosclerosis we eat no meat, dairy or oil. Normally we call ahead, but here we just showed up. We had about an hour to eat before an orchestra performance. The menu was very compatible with the Esselstyne diet. I had vegetable soup, white rice, a pasta dish, and salad with vinegar for dressing. The coffee was excellent. It was a pleasurable experience. The staff, ambience, menu, and food all support a restaurant interested in providing service."

"We enjoyed it. It just wasn't one of those places that grabs you; makes you say "wow! let's do this again tomorrow!" Lot's to chose from on the menu... the food tasted pretty good (our first time with Mediterranean) and it was warm enough that we sat out on the patio. They have live music during Sunday Brunch but you can't hear him play from outside. The music we listened sounded like that chant music the monks do... Overall, we did have a good time and an enjoyable meal. Yes, we would definitely visit Pasha Mezze again."

"Went to eat dinner the other night with my family home from college (party of 7). It was my first time there but my wife and son have been there a couple of times before attending venues in Norfolk. Food was very good, and the atmosphere is notably enjoyable. I really like Turkish tea and their's did not disappoint. The baklava was very good (probably the best I have had). All in all we had a very enjoyable evening together. The cost may be a concern to some though, as we spent over $200 and we do not drink alcohol. If roughly $30 per person sits well with you, and your are looking for good Mediterranean / Anatolian dining, this is a great place to try. I think you'll be glad you went."

"Waited 15 min after time reserved for table, but more than half their tables were empty. We ordered drinks and waited another 10+ minutes for them. Bread came about 10 minutes after that and our orders were finally taken. Over an hour later our food arrived. My mom's salad was lettuce with one slice of tomato. My Mediterranean wrap was quinoa and lettuce, very little flavor. The waitress forgot my side item and I was finished my plate before it arrived. I had to ask for it twice. In addition to that, they were out of ginger ale. On a positive note my husband did enjoy his lamb sandwich. This was my worst restaurant experience ever between the unattentive waitress and the ridiculously long wait for salads and wraps. We will never come back."

"I have raved about this restaurant from the first time I visited it. However, after this visit, I would have to say I am sadly disappointed. They have changed their menu and it isn't the same. The spicy walnut dip was very dry and bland, they had to bring us items that were missing on our platters and they don't offer pita anymore. How can a Turkish restaurant not serve pita? The purpose of our visit was to take an out of town guest who lived in Turkey for years to bring back memories and sadly it didn't do that as she said it wasn't very Turkish.
I still will hold out hopes that they will bring back some of their menu options from the old menu and that pita will make its way back on the list."

"We went here expecting to have a lamb meal on what was the Orthodox Easter. Our appointment was at one pm; when we arrived we were told that lamb was not served until 3pm! Rather than get up, leave, and go to a better choice such as Orapax, we stayed--but it ruined the afternoon for us.
Another thing that turned us off was the maitre'd/ or owner. The gent was dressed like a mafia hit man, nothing elegant or pleasing about his appearance and he was unfriendly as well. We won't recommend or go back."

"This Secluded Ghent Gem is a great place to bring a loved one or a colleague or the family to enjoy amazingly prepared and presented cuisine from in and around the Mediterranean and the Middle East. If you go for Brunch be sure to try the artisan bread and the preserves as they are all made in house and a great start to one of their omelets or one of their other brunch dishes! A must go if you find yourself in Norfolk. If you want to try it during the week, do try to go around dinner time to enjoy their signature entrees!"

"Party of 3. 2 had great experiences. My food was not great. The lamb chunks - kind of like pulled pork consistency - was served not hot enough at first, after reheating, the lamb was very bland and tasteless. A seasoning shortcoming. Terrific server and foh manager."

"First visit for me and my wife and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Menu was wonderful, so we ordered a bit too much. Appetizers were wacky & delicious (some zucchini fritters and another veggie thing that looked vaguely like a crab cake but I've forgotten what it actually was), wines were just right (we had a demon/devil-something merlot), entrees were more food than we needed (grilled salmon and a sampler with beef, chicken & Turkish veal) but delicious and put us over the top. We're ancient, but most customers looked to be urban artsy hipster types. A nice upscale experience at a reasonable price. We'll definitely go back! PS ~ Loved the online reservation system."

"Good meal and flavors. My favorite was the kofte and I also liked the Maiden Cake, a red lentil cake. All in all, a little expensive for the quality in my book."

"Pasha Mezze is one of my favorite brunch spots. One of the many things I like about Pasha is that it's a great place if you have special diet restrictions. If you are vegetarian or gluten free they have delicious offerings for you. The vegetables are fresh and colorful. For meat lovers there are many choices (steak, chicken, lamb). My brunch faves are the maiden tower and the shrimp, crab fiesta. In addition there is an acoustic guitar player strumming gently in the background. The food is Mediterranean with a little twist. We get lost in conversation when we are at Pasha because the atmosphere is so comfy with hanging lanterns, colorful pillows on the benches. The staff is friendly. All in all it makes for a relaxing, tasteful experience."
