"We cant' say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was fabulous from appetizers to dessert! Our server, Marjorie, couldn't have been better! The wait staff as a whole works like a well oiled machine. Plates disappear and glasses are refilled as if by magic - you never even notice when it happens. This was our first visit to Reata and I can guarantee it will not be our last!"

"I went in expecting an amazing dinner with my husband and left thinking it was just ok. Maybe my expectations going in were a lil high after I had heard it being recommended by a few friends. We arrived at our reserved time to be surprised that they didn't have us reserved. After a few uncomfortable moments, they ended up sitting us. The noise levels at times was distracting. Great for a group of friends or family vs an intimate date spot/experience. The wait staff was nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food itself was just ok. Nothing I'd have to have again. The appetizers outshined the main dishes IMO. Overall, it was just ok. Not on my short list on places I'd have to come back to."

"I took my wife and two sons there for my younger son's birthday and my wife's birthday. The staff was super nice and there when you needed them and not there when you did not need them. The food was awesome. A little pricey, but we knew it would be and were ready for it on our special occasion. We had a great time, and I would recommend it to anyone."

"We ate at Reata for Mother's Day, and it was a wonderful choice. Service was impeccable and the food is amazing-- it has a really unique Texas flair, like the bourbon creamed corn or the cheddar and jalepeno grits-- yum! Highly recommend for families, friends, dates, it's a great restaurant. Also, make sure to try the bread pudding that comes in a corn husk-- SO good."

"I had a gift card from work and chose Mother's day to take my wife out for something special. Reata is perfect for such occasions. The food is adventurous and everything we have ever had at Reata has been wonderful. Our service was the very best. Our waiter's name was Curtis and he was very engaging, helpful and attentive. When we were getting up to go, Curtis thanked us for coming and said he enjoyed serving us. The noise level was a little high because the restaurant was packed wall-to-wall and there was a very good live musician. However, the overall effect was one of warm ambiance, memorable food and service!"

"My review of Reata to outstanding. We dined on the rooftop and ordered everything from calf fries to bread pudding and everything was perfect! We steak and lobster tails, cheese grits, fried shrimp and lots of deserts! The atmosphere was great, the rooftop was amazing and the day was perfect for outdoor dining. The waitress was very friendly and the service was fast and food cooked perfectly.
We have not been to Reata in a number of years just because we go to so many other places in town more regularly but I think Reata will be put back on the list for our go to steak house."

"Out of all the restaurants I've visited so far, this has consistently remained my favorite. This is a rare restaurant that has actually improved, rather than declined over time. Every dish I've ordered so far is exceptional. The wait staff has the right amount of attentiveness - not too much or too little. The atmosphere is a great balance of sophistication and comfort. "If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience then Reata Restaurant is the place to be. I dined with a good business friend there and we ate like a Kings. The service was wonderful and the menu had a wide variety of choices. While this is a higher end restaurant, one can dine most affordably or as extravagantly as you desire to.
The steaks were served exactly as ordered, the sides were delicious and portions were very generous. The desserts were sumptuous and a perfect end to a memorable evening. Our waiter was attentive, personable and always there when you needed him and never overwhelming, as is the case at other restaurants I have been to.
I look forward to my next dining experience in this fine dining establishment!"

"What can I say? Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic atmosphere and a fantastic price. I dont know where else I could get a porterhouse with lobster crab brulee complete with green beans and some of the best garlic mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life for less than 50 bucks!
Staff was amazing, frequently checked on us to make sure everything was ok. We went there for our anniversary and they even gave us two free glasses of champagne with our desert. Love this place."

"The Reata still has the ambiance and the food of Texas. When you enter the restaurant you feel the sense of everything big, everything a wide open Texas ranch has to offer. "It was our first time to Reata and we had a great time! Outdoor rooftop seating in downtown Fort Worth provided a great backdrop as we enjoyed an excellent rib-eye. Definitely recommend splitting a steak as 14-16oz is quite a lot for one person. Service was helpful and it wasn't too loud or crowded. Free valet parking and validation for self parking both available."

"This was our first trip to Reata and it was a pleasure. The menu was big enough to find something for even the most picky eater, but not so big as to be overwhelming. The starter breads and butter were delicious, very garlicy but delicious. My date started with the Jalapeno & Cilantro Soup and I started with the Caesar Salad. The soup was creamy and had surprises like chunks of avacado. The salad was fresh (even cheese) and the dressing was better than expected. My date is on a quest to taste the worlds best Chile Rellenos, theirs is stuffed with grilled chicken and paired with roasted corn chowder. He's still searching. I tried the featured fish of the day - it was ok. The best part was dessert - chocolate bread pudding tamale."

"My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our dining experience! This was our 2nd time and we were actually able to have the same excellent server twice! His name is Dale and he is excellent!Great food, service, and atmosphere! The rooftop dining is also legit!Thank you Reata for the wonderful experience!"

"Great food, great service! We dinned on the rooftop - only complaint is they allow smoking on the rooftop. A little disappointing to drop $200+ and be exposed to second-hand smoke. Not sure I understand the premise - one person gets to enjoy a cigarette while all around suffer (one table over even asked to be reseated). Would suggest smoking policy be revisited to reflect current social norms."

"I chose this spot because my husband and I had gone one other thime before a show at Bass Hall. On that night everything was great...food, service, etc.. This time however, our waiter was slow, the food was just "ok"... we were with children, and if you know how it is to dine with children you know how important it is to have your food come timely.. The food wasn't as tasty. Mine was cool..not warm...but it was getting late so I just kept it! I had asked in the reservation for a special dessert to be brought out b/c the other couple was going to be coming from their MARRIAGE!!! But nothing was done! Big disappointmnet!"

"What sets this place apart from other restaurants is the service. Jendi knows her food items and provides details to those items you don't get from other restaurants. We were in Fort Worth for a concert and in passing mentioned our belated wedding anniversary and unexpectedly they surprised us with decorative chocolate writing on our plates. My wife was moved to tears. Appetizer was elk sausage dressed with a roasted jalapeno and jalapeno cheese grits, amazing!!!! My wife had the halibut its was great. I had the chicken fried steak it was delicious. Desserts were incredible. My wife had the banana pudding. It was blended like a mousse and not overly banana tasting. It was light and fluffy. I had the chocolate lava cake with drunken berries."

"I feel this place has everything, except good food. I really found all the employees so friendly and attentive. The service was impeccable. The place has a great ambiance but the food is severly lacking in flavor. It just wasn't good AT ALL. I didn't want to tell the wait staff my true feelings when they asked how everything was so I told them it was great. They were all just so sweet. This place would do well to get someone in there to revamp thier recipes. I had the chicken chili rellano. My husband had the "game special." I won't be back."

"We dined in the downstairs area and it was great and very intimate. We were on a first date and had no problem with conversation and the total bill was very reasonable. Kayleigh was a great waitress and met our every need. The food was good but not fantastic but the atmosphere made up for it and the overall experience was great. I had the mahi mahi and my date had the grilled chicken. I would absolutely take another date there. Afterwards we went to the fox and hound a couple blocks away for a night cap."
