The atmosphere is Moroccan chic, the cocktails are smashing, and the small plates — like a perfect meze platter, a gorgeous moutabal du jardin salad, a cigarlike spin on chicken bastila, wonderful kefta kebab and more — are not just beautifully prepared, but well-priced, to boot. As grazing ops go, it doesn’t get much better than this alluring spot where Lebanon meets Morocco in West Village.
"We had such an amazing lunch here last weekend. We had the shared platter and it was AMAZING! We split the falafel sandwich which hit the spot and topped it all off with their amazing coffee! We will be back!"

"Great ambience, wonderful food, nicest, most accommodating servers and management around. Love this little neighborhood gem in the vibrant Uptown/West Village area of Dallas."

"Third time at Baboush and it is still wonderful. My husband tried something new...I can't recall the name but its under the Large Plates, first item. Anyhow it is lamb and beef sautéed with onions and peppers with pickled onions and radishes on top over a bed of hummus. It was fantastic, his new favorite."

"This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We shared the tomato and cumber salad, rice, lamb kebabs, and a chicken dish I can't remember the name of, it had honey and chickpeas and was served with couscous. The chicken is sweet and the contrast of the lamb was perfect. We enjoyed the lamb first with the rice, then cleansed our pallet with the salad, before we enjoyed the chicken. Perfect meal. Paired with a bottle of Massya wine."

"It took us three attempts to eat at Baboush and we finally made it!!! It was fantastic!!! Creamy hummus and delicious olives to start. We shared the Chicken ? (small plate), Pomegranate Tabbouleh and Lamb Meatballs. The chicken dish was so flavorful...chicken stuffed in pastry, with spices, sprinkled with powered sugar. Amazing. The Tabbouleh salad was a great cleanser with lots of vinegar and mint. The Lamb meat balls arrived simmering in a tomato broth. We had a great bottle of Lebanese wine, Massaya(?) and finished with Baklava and stuffed figs. I would have given 5 stars all around, but the hostess stood with the door open for an extended period of time, not giving any consideration to the guests who were freezing."

"our first visit. we were thrilled with the food, but two requests to turn down the "tinkly" Moroccan music so we could talk went unheeded. There were only 2 other tables being served on a sunday early evening so I think that may be why the music seemed so loud. It isn't on McKinney, in spite of its address. Look for the 3636 on the building facing McKinney, but it is midblock on CityPlace. That's good as if it were on McKinney you never could eat out on the sidewalk (it was too cold for us to try it the night we were there, but some well bundled diners did). Attentive and pleasant service by Desi."

"One of my favorite Dallas restaurants, Baboush never disappoints. The flavors of Middle Eastern food are so unique and delicious I could eat it every day."

"This was our second visit. Began with the Meze (Platter to Share) - Excellent, with the best Babaganoush I've had in Dallas. Followed up with the Grilled Beef and Lamb Kebabs - equally excellent. Massaya wine was perfect match. Great buzz to the relatively small, intimate room. Our server was very helpful. We'll certainly be back soon."

"I was pleasantly surprised about the creativity of the food at Baboush. There are many "middle Eastern" restaurants in town and many are very good. Baboush is different, more Turkish and Moroccan. Highly recommend."
