"I went for 5280 with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful experience. Our server Kelsey was a gem and we loved her. The wine was great as I am really enjoying the Washington wines at the moment. Definitely fit for a foodie, you can tell they care about what they put on the plate. The portions were great and the pretzel bread pudding rocks! We will be sure to return."

"A good spate of offerings highlights the menu. Had a tasty beef short rib plate, but my wife had the real joy of the night with a gnocchi plate. Had a hiccup in our service where one member of our party got his dinner and the other five of us sat for about seven minutes before we saw our food. But the beer list was good, the attendant was respectful and there was a nice, even din throughout what was a fairly crowded restaurant"

"We had a nice dinner experience here - don't get me wrong, but everything was just 'goog' not outstanding....EXCEPT for the cauliflower bisque - it was actually light and airy, NOT heavy as you would think a traditionla bisque would be.
One person in our party had a very overcooked piece of mahi but the kitchen was kind enough to take it off our final bill, which definitely helped. I would say "great for happy hour" as it's location is right downtown, and it has an EXCELLENT deal on happy hour drinks - all local/tap wines and beers, which I always appreciate!
We may go back here again - but nothing about it was truly special."

"Awful. As a veteran of the food&beverage industry, I wanted to sympathize with the staff, who were clearly trying the best they could. That being said, the service was terrible. We arrived early for our reserved time, and were informed that there was a bit of a delay. (15 minutes) After waiting patiently at the bar for close to an hour without being acknowledged, we finally just left. I made a couple of attempts to get the hosts attention, but he was literally walking in circles at the back of the floor while a line of upset customers waited at the front entrance. The bartenders appeared to be waiting and bussing tables in addition to tending the bar. They also seemed indifferent to the lack of service. COMPLETE FAIL BY MANAGEMENT"

"My husband and I had reservations for Ghost Plate and were looking forward to the Restaurant Week menu. This night was a comedy of errors sandwiched between bad service and terrible food. We did not have a server assigned to our table, so the bartender picked up our table in between his duties at the bar and the bar area. After an extended period of time after our order was taken, we were brought our 2nd course first, in error. Once that was sent back, he brought me an overdressed, wilted salad and told my husband that they were out of the cheese soup that he had ordered about 45 minutes previously. Thinking they might redeem themselves with a freshly made salad, he too ordered the salad and also received the same overdressed, wilted salad."

"It was just ok. Unfortunately I don't think the restaurant was ready for the first night of Restaurant week, which is when we dined. They were busy, and the waitress who definitely tried and kept up most of the night just didn't know what was going on. We got our first two courses back to back, and waited about 20 minutes for our entree's. While in the middle of eatting our main course we were told that one of the desserts was no longer available. After selecting a different option, the dessert came out before we were even done with our main course. I think management is to blame on the poor planning. We won't be back."

"Overall it was a fine experience. This was for restaurant week which had a different menu. Unfortunately our server had absolutely no idea how to explain the entrees to us. When asking about the flavor of one of the desserts she described it as "puddingy". The fish listed on the menu they didn't get in thus was eating a fish I was unfamiliar with that was very tough and not flaky at despite being told it was a "better fish". My that was just my taste. My wife's "short rib" dish was gritty and fatty. That left much to be desired as well.
The desserts and the appetizers and soups were delicious. Those portions helped redeem the many shortfalls of the entrees and lack of knowledge in the service."

"5280 just started up and the Ghost was clearly not ready for it. It took us over two hours to dine and was because the kitchen could not handle the crowd. As an example, it took over 30 minutes to get dessert.
The food was okay but not as good as the descriptions on the menu. My wife had the Gnocchi and they were very small and were clearly outnumbered by Brussels sprouts.
Both soups were good. Mixed drinks were reasonably priced.
I doubt we will return as the quality is not up to the prices."

"The food was good, not great. The drink I had was very good and the service attentive. My wife and I went for Valentine's Day dinner and found it to be too loud for an intimate experience.
I would recommend it for casual and group dining or happy hour, but not for anything that is supposed to be romantic."

"The food was suburb and the service was very good. However, we did not enjoy the music. It was very loud and not to our liking (we are older folks). It would have been nice for Valentine's Day to have nice soft music instead of the rock or heavy metal music"

"I had a cioppino that left a lot to be desired. For one, it was missing ingredients; monkfish and crab were listed as ingredients on the menu and it didn't have either. There were tiny pieces of some fish, but it definitely was not monkfish. Lame. I left hungry.
I loved the space. They have a great beer selection. There are probably 30+ tables, but only 3-4 were occupied on a Saturday night.
I will say my boyfriend liked his meal. I don't think either of our meals were worth the price, however. I was really hoping for a better experience here- we had been wanting to try it out for a while."
