"We drive 45 min at about once a month to eat at The Final Cut! My husband and I love this place! The only thing we find strange is that you put a two person table in front of the booths facing the speedway window. I understand more tables means more people and more money, but it is awkward staring at another couple when trying to look out the windows :)"

"Loved the Hollywood memorabilia and our waiter was great. We had a party of 8 and were seated in a semi-private dining room, rather than the main restaurant. We didn't get to enjoy the impressive view of the Kansas Speedway. The steaks were served naked on a huge platter - they looked lonely and meager. I don't think they were of the highest quality - seemed to be soaked in saline. Why not tout the Kansas connection and feature some local ranch's steaks or Sterling Beef? The salad was lovely and the house dressing just right - not too much. The prices are too high for a la carte dining and the clientele frequenting the casino. I'm sure the restaurant does well on race weekends but what about the rest of the year? Needs some tweaking."

"We really only had one problem with this restaurant and to me it was a pretty big one. I ordered the spinach salad, one of the main reasons for ordering it was that it said it had a poached egg. Anybody who has ever had a poached egg on a nice salad knows that it is nice because you cut into the egg and the yolk runs onto the salad making the dressing creamy. Sadly this did not happen. The salad arrived with half a soft-medium BOILED egg on it. No cook or chef doesn't know the difference between poached and boiled so either the menu wording needs to be changed to say boiled egg on the salad or the chef needs to learn the difference."

"The service was superb from the hostess who greeted us, to our spot-on server, to the staff that refilled our water glasses and cleared the dished; prompt, professional and friendly without any trace of stuffiness or over familiarity. Since it was a race weekend at the Speedway, we had made reservations and had no wait time at all.
The food was even better and was a good price to quality value; steaks that were perfectly cooked to order and melt-in-your mouth tender. Fresh, crispy salads that were nicely dressed and delicious side dishes.
There was not a single misstep at any time during our encounter. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back."

"My husband and I went to Final Cut to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. It is rather expensive, but the food and experience was definitely worth the cost. I wouldn't recommend going if you are just looking for a nice restaurant. If it is a special occasion or another reason that you may be willing to spend extra money on a meal, then I would definitely recommend it.
*Note* I didn't care for my red velvet cake that I had for dessert. I understand that a lot of restaurants have frozen desserts that are either warmed up or served cold (I don't know for sure whether they do or not) but it tasted freezerburnt."

"This was our first visit to The Final Cut and we found it to be one of our better eating experiences in all of Kansas City. It was a busy evening and the service was great even though the food came out a little slow.
We were greeted with a friendly hostess and our server helped us through the wine list with a great bottle of wine and then we were pleastly treated to one fantastic course after another making for a very pleasant dining experience. The Final Cut will be on our list to visit again as the menu offers a nice variety."

"This was our third visit to the Final Cut and we plan on coming again. We have always gotten the Filet Mignon and it has always been delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable for a casino. The noise level was quite tolerable. The service is outstanding. All those who served us appeared to be enjoying making our dinner special. The only criticism I might share is that it does take a while to get your food. This however is understandable as a great meal is worth a short wait. You do get your salad and warm bread relatively quick so the wait for the main course goes almost un-noticed. Overall our visits have always been a special treat. Thanks to all for such an enjoyable experience."

"I loved the food at this restaurant. Chilean seabass is one of my favorite dishes, and theirs is one of the best I have ever eaten. It was done perfectly. My husband's steak was cooked exactly as he ordered, and was tender and flavorful. The dinner was followed by their made-in-house butter pecan gelato. The gelato had a slightly salty taste from the pecans--great for all of us who love the sweet and salty taste together."
