"Everything was first rate. It is expensive, but you don't feel cheated as everything was wonderful. Perfect food; my husband said it was the best duck he had ever had. Gorgeous setting and attentive service. All in all fabulous. A perfect special occasion place."

"Bacara is one of my all-time favorite spots in Southern California. Absolutely gorgeous!!! The staff at the resorts are top-notch -- from the valet parking staff to the servers at the restaurants. The food... meh, need a bit of improvements (their food quality has been slipping lately). I have been a long-time regular and hope to see its food improve a bit."

"really nice lunch on the patio. Scenic and peaceful. The place is stupid expensive and has a vacant ghost town feel. Service was very good as was the food. Bacara is suffering from years of treating local Santa Barbarans poorly hoping for the beautiful people from LA, Europe or NYC. They need to do damage control and reach out to the community. They are not the Biltmore or the Ranch. They are in Goleta and some local love would bebuild the place in 10-20 years."

"Have been here before and it has always exceeded expectations. This time, however, service was exceptionally slow AND we had an out of town guest. Waiter told us the kitchen was backed up but it was really bad. Couldn't even get bread....not good"

"We enjoyed a lovely meal at Miro. The steak entree was spectacular, and our server suggested a wine that was both perfectly suited to our meal and reasonably priced, too! Not pretentious but very classy. We had wonderful service, delicious food (everything we tried was top quality with generous portions). The ambience is low key elegance and our table by the windows gave us a romantic view of the ocean, complete with fishing boats casting lights on the waves. All in all a great experience."

"We were very disappointed with the Sunday brunch at Bacara Resort. It was quite expensive ($60/person). We expected excellent service and food. The only thing that was excellent was the view of the beach and ocean. It was not worth the price. The food and service were nothing special. We had to wait for drink refills and had to ask for new silverware. The food choices were limited. They did not even have an omelet station, which is pretty standard at all you can eat brunches. We will not go back or recommend this brunch to anyone else."

"Had dinner and brunch. The dinner is expensive and the food was underwhelming. Brunch was good, and the price was not bad, the service was just not good. Overall, the place is OK, but that is all you can say."

"I had lunch on Christmas Day at Miro. I was surprised to find the decor of the resturant was so different than the Bacara Resort. Bacara has a gorgeous, sophisticated Mediterranean ambiance, but the Miro resturant has a brightly colored, 1980's contemporary atmosphere. I found the whole decor to be a bit jarring. Luckily the views of the ocean took my attention away from the decor.
I ordered a grilled Salmon and expected a full filet, but what I got was more of Salmon medallion.....more suitable as a appetizer. The Salmon was served on a extra large white plate, which made the entre appear even smaller. The Salmon tasted good, but for the $28.00 price, there wasn't much there to eat."
