"This was my wife's birthday, when I made my reservation I noted it her birthday. When arrived the hostess greeted her with a happy birthday, when went to our seat our waiter also greeted her in the same manner by her name. She was so excited. The meal was fabulous and the wine list was excellent. The evening was top off with her favorite desert and a candle lit. The plate had happy birthday written in chocolate. The staffs were amazing. Thanks guys for helping me impress my wife."

"I have had amazing food and a wonderful experience the handful of times I have been at Fig Tree. This time the food was very good but some of it was not quite at the level I've come to expect, especially the scallops. That said, Eddy Holiday was our server again and he does an incredible job at making everyone feel great. He provides top notch service and is an absolute pleasure to converse with! The hostess was fabulous as well!"

"I was meeting a friend for dinner and we decided to visit the Fig Tree. We were looking for a less formal setting, so we opted to have dinner at the bar. Erika, our bartender, took such good care of us even though she was quite busy making drinks for everyone!
The food was awesome. There was a great selection of wines by the glass, all reasonably priced.
I will definitely return!"

"We enjoy fine dining. This restaurant was the best food and service experience that we have had in years. Everything was great. The grilled Elk chop was awesome and the filet mignon was superb. "What a lovely dinner we had at The Fig Tree. The food was to die for, the service was impeccable and the location could not have been better. We were there for about 3 hours and didn't feel rushed out. Our server, Jenny, could not have been better! It was a special occasion so we had appetizer, salad, dinner and dessert. Each dish was better then the last. The food was very rich but that probably had something to do with the fact that we ate so much! It was our anniversary and everyone made us feel special! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!"

"We went for our anniversary. We decided to try a new restaurant for us. We made a great decision. The Fig Tree will now be on our must eat at list. I had the Elk. It was wonderful. The dessert - Cinnamon Beignets were just awesome. I am from Louisiana and it is very hard to get a really good Beignet. The Fig Tree would have me coming back just for their desserts alone but their other menu items are just as great. The waiters and staff were friendly and on top of everything without being pushy."

I had a wonderful, special, boar appetizer and everyone else seemed to enjoy their appetizer as well.

The escargot is an absolute MUST and the filet was prepared to perfection. "Great menu options, really good food. I had the lamb chop with Israeli cous cous. The lamb was amazing, but the cous cous was a little too garlicky for me and needed a little bit more flavor to it. "This was our second trip to Fig Tree and our experience was better the first time. The restaurant is a cool intimate old house and the service is perfect, as it was on our first visit. The problem this time was That the food was not up to par. One of our entrees, the striped bass was terrible. The waiter was apologetic, but made no attempt to get us something different. We had a nice time, but probably won't go back. Entrees are 45.00 to 55.00 dollars and for that kind of money there are just to many other great places to go in Charlotte that consistently roll out a great dining experience."

"I have been to The Fig Tree several times. This is the first time my food has been less than excellent. There were eight of us and all had a fine evening. Two ordered the special scallopini and both found it overdone to the point of toughness although the flavor and seasoning were quite good. The others were all quite pleased. Our server was on top of her game, knowledgable and friendly . She got us out in perfect time for the theater. The tough veal will not deter me from returning as I understand that a mere one extra minute in the pan could make that difference!"

"A long time favorite with consistantly excellent food and amazing wine list. Fine dining with a more casual vibe. Very comfortable dining rooms, excellent outdoor covered porch and very friendly service. The food is still the star with many unusual dishes not found elsewhere in the Charlotte area; i.e., bison, ostrich, etc. The wine list is very comprehensive with many from smaller boutique wineries. Also a good selection of half bottles. One of the top restaurants in the Charlotte area.

"I've been to The Fig Tree twice and both times I was impressed. Their filet mignon is top notch, delicious, tender and juicy, even when prepared well done. The staff know their wines and are capable of assisting you to choose a wine that will best enhance your meal. Everything was delicious and I will return time and again."

"My wife and I had a truly terrific meal to celebrate our anniversary. The Fig Tree is set in an historic house, with individual; rooms serving as small dining rooms. These made for very intimate settings that were perfect for the occaision. The food was excellent. The chef avoided overly complicated concatenations of ingredients in favor of well-prepared simplicity. I had perfect sea scallops as an appetizer, although I the sweet potato bed was slightly overcooked. The osso buco was sublime. I liked it when the server produced a marrow fork unbidden. The wine list was overwhelming; fortunately I have learned to swallow my pride an ask for recommendations. The waiter went back and consulted with the chef who chose a great pinot."

"My wife and I wanted a special place to celebrate our 45-1/2 year anniversary, and we found it in The Fig Tree. The restored, 100-year old home provided a romantic ambience, and the staff provided the quiet table we had requested. We found the food to be creative and delicious, and the wine list offered a nice price range from the $30s to $100+. Our server was attentive, skilled, and friendly without being familiar. We shall definitely return."
